Have you seen that mummy sarcophagus looking thing? With the 4 ghost arms? I'm sorry, but that just made me want to buy this game so hard. That and smugleaf, the grass starter. I want more pokemon to be arrogant looking ass holes. And I'm being dead serious here. While I'm not too impressed with many of the pokemon here, there are enough that I find appealing to make me interested.

Part of the charm of the first gen came from the fact that the pokemon had to be designed to work with the limited hardware, and when you can only support 4 colors at one time on a sprite, you have to make do with what you got. With that said, I'm sure if they had the technology then that they have now, we'd be looking at an entirely different bulbasaur and charmander today.

all these new pokemon are all wtf to me. and yeah, they're just so out of style and sync from all the previous pokemon. Most seem like fakemon to me and I don't have the time to read everything. seriously, a mummy pokemon? wtf?!?! it's like pharoahman stopped fighting megaman for a minute to get a cameo in a pokemon game. fuck no.

I mean, some of the new features have the potential to be really cool, but... :|

These seem very bottom-of-the-barrel-we've-done-everything-else-let's-just-use-generic-shapes-and-figures-and-add-random-parts-and-hair-tufts.

But Neopets are supercool! I could see a Lupe holding his own against Luxray or Pidgeot...

I don't like all of the new designs, and I'm certainly not thrilled about there being three new normal/flying types, but I definitely don't think they're horrible...
