Pronounced "Kite", like the flying-in-the-sky toy. =)

Kaaaaye. Not my characters at all but <3 the fighting picture. So much.

...I don't like Kite without bangs. =/

I actually didn't think you'd care one way or another about the fighting pic. :p And yeah, I don't thinkl I like Kite without bangs either, at least not in that pic...

A pic of Jared, it was fun to do, and I like how his eyes came out. :D I also tried blending the pencil a bit so the graphite would be smoother. Though, I don't think the scanner showed that bit very well...

Aww, he looks like he's, like, fifteen. XD

His eyes are very pretty, I agree. And his hair.

His eyes came out quite bright (not saying that as a bad thing).

I can't really pick out anything that requires complaining in this pic. Ah, except that I have to wonder how his shirt is held together since I see no buttons or clasps down the middle. Other than that, it looks rather like a real shirt. The pencil looks good enough even in the scan to give it a nice texture. And I agree that his hair looks good as well.

EDIT: Or is the setting Jared comes from modern enough for him to have a thin zipper? Just realized that he might not be from Arcane. =p

Actually, his setting is even less modern than Arcane, buuuut magic is common, so I'm claiming magic as the only thing holding his shirt closed. Either that or some form of fabric tape (I forgot buttons, dur).

And yeah, Jared looks young and feminine, it's cuz the elves in our rp are just like that- and him being more or less half elven...

I went the entire month of July without a single update. I am decidedly disappointed with myself.

In anycase... Three new pics. The first one is a short comic I did while writing with Pupp. Most (if not all) of you probably won't get it, but what the heck.

Then there's Pockets. Some of you might remember that doodle I drew during one of the MP award shows... Well, now she's back, but this time drawn with a more...JRPG sort of style in mind. I'm actually pretty fond of this drawing, and, me being the dork that I am, came up with ideas of just how such a character would work in a game. Firstly, she is your inventory space. Everything you have, she carries in her many, many pockets. As far as fighting, she can't equip a specific weapon, rather, she picks at random one of the weapons you might have lying around in your inventory and attacks with that. Which, depending on how much you hoard or sell, could be really annoying. She'd also have the 'Throw' option common to Final Fantasy games. And of course, she'd be your typical mysterious and brooding protagonist (that may have once been your chipper 'I haz pockets!' from the old doodle).

AAAnd finally, there's the Carson and Lucian pic. Did this with just pen, no pencils. As such, I'm sure there are a few quirks with it, but in general it's pretty good. Did it as practice since I decided to redraw my Carson Comic which most of you probably have no idea about. In general, it was a comic I made detailing the childhood of the character Carson. It was the only comic I ever actually completed that was over thirty pages (this one was something like 200 pages! :D). Just about the whole comic was drawn with pens, not bothering to pencil it out first (I think laziness was my success). But yeah, I'm redrawing it with actual, like, angles and interesting art, since the original was pretty shoddy. I intend to scan it this time and I might post the pages on MP, though if I do it'll probably be in a separate topic, just to keep things organized.

I remember the Carson comic~

*tabs over to the first page to check out new pics*

Arcane Speech Patterns amuses me. I particularly like Hiro for some reason. Also Kite.

I must agree that I Haz Pockets is not nearly pockety enough. Aside from the blatant lack of scarf pockets, her sleeves got rolled up, wasting valuable pocket real estate. Also she needs some drawstring pouches hanging from her belt or sword or hairband or something.

Carson and Lucian looks quite nice. I'm impressed that you managed that without doing it in pencil first. I think that actually gives it a nice, clean look. I feel like I should comment and critique this one more, but I'm not in the proper mindset for such things at the moment, I'm afraid.

But those would be puches, not pockets! It would defeat the entire purpose! D: D: D:

And yeah, no pencil does make it a little cleaner, though it also risks making a lot of unfixable (and usually avoidable) mistakes. :p I had to draw that pic over two or three times, so, for normal pics, using an H pencil to just plot things out usually is better.

New pic! It's an Aurelian, a fictional race made by Stars. I call it an it because it's very androgynous and I really don't know whether to call it a girl or a boy. Thoughts?

Well I was going to wait for other people to comment before I said anything, but oh well. Going to sleep soon and don't want to forget to post here.

First off, let me just say again: SQUEE~!

Now that that's out of the way:
I like the somewhat androgynous look. It's pretty darned close to how I had imagined them. I was a bit worried about sticking with short hair, but I like how you drew it, and the ornamentation definitely helps (kudos for that idea). The ears also look cool. They give a bit of an aquatic look, which could be misleading, but I like them enough that I don't care. =D

You said something in your dA description about the face ending up looking blank instead of the serene expression you were going for, but I think this is perfectly sufficient as it is. Even without a more defined expression, their eyes can tell a lot about their personality (being that an individual's eye color is the same as their aura color). Even if it's not what you intended, I can infer from the orange eyes that (s)he is really a thrill-seeker and daredevil. =p

To sum up: I luvs it! You're the best~!
