And I have to say, I dunno if I can see Lara in a team rocket uniform. :p Seems like she'd be to goody-goody for it. (Carson on the other hand....well, he'd be easy to bribe.)

Hence 'the difference in reactions'. XD I can see her being extremely uncomfortable in it. And you never know- in Gold and Silver you pretend to be a rocket... :p

Alright, here we have a self portrait I've been working on since about when I got my new tablet. It's been an on and off kind of progress, but last night I decided to just wrap it up. I'm not really pleased with it at all. It looks like me, more accurately than a lot of my self portraits, but there's just...something missing. I just couldn't get it to fit together right, and I'm really not happy with the outcome. Maybe it's because I worked off of a photo, which I don't normally do for these things.
Then there's an old Arcane pic I found when going through some old sketch books. I don't remember if I ever scanned this, I don't think I did, but I know I never colored it. Which is odd, since at the time I was really proud of it. It's about two years old now. In the end I decided not to actually 'color' it, since then it just looked too busy. I might try to make another take on this some time in the future, since I do like the concept, but the art is a little out dated.

Heeey, I remember that picture! Outdated or not, I still like it, but making another one would be sweeeeet! Hehe, it's fun looking back on original plans that have changed since the time you drew this. XD

I like your hair in your self portrait. :p

Yeah, the fact that we changed some of what happened is another reason as to why I want to change it. :P
And yeah, the hair came out nice. it's thje skin and face that bothers me...I think.

Finally, a new entry. :D I've been working on the same pic for forever now, and I'm happy with it now that it's finally done. Linked to dA, so if any of you have an account, please fav. :D Anyways, thoughts? Comments? Critiques?

I can see why it took so long to finish.

I'm liking the detail you put into the sword and the etched armor. I also love her outfit in general.

My sense of her proportions was thrown off at first because my mind was trying to tell me that the sash was tied around her waist, but it looked much better once I adjusted for it being lower on her hips.
Hmm, even after looking at it for several minutes, though, the sash still confuses my eyes; I can't figure whether her midsection looks good as is or if it could have used more touch up.

The draped part of the sash is actually tied underneath her armor. The part that is tied around her hips, is actually a belt. I probably should have done something to make them seem for separate (belt buckle or something...), but I kind of liked it that way. Basically it's like a half skirt or something, though it's not terribly apparent from this angle. The dark part, her midsection (I think I'm talking about the same part as you) was kept fairly simple on purpose. It was originally going to be chain mail, and I had drawn the chain mail in a separate layer, but in the end I liked the more simple version better. I think that should make it less confusing?

Ah, gotcha. Hadn't realized those were two separate pieces.
I suppose "midsection" was a little vague...or incorrectly used on my part. (Gah, out of time. I'll add to this post from work.)

Edited the piece a little. Added a flutter by belt buckle as well as two little belts on her wrists.

I felt the same way, Monkey. As I mentioned on dA, it looks to me like someone went and punched her in the face, or something. XD

But, as I also said on dA, I love her armor to pieces. (Haha, gettit?) Fantastic job!

Maybe... I would fix it, but...I 'unno. Hard to fix something when you don't see the problem. :p I've probably been looking at it too much, maybe in a day or two I'll be able to point out that problem myself.

New pic, yay~! This is Kamau's request. Both Lucian and Ishida are somewhere around 13-15 (I forget the exact age). I used SHE as my model for Ishida, which apparently may have been a poor choice since it's sort of awkward to translate a nineteen year old's proportions into that of a kid. Lucian had no model (really gotta find one...>_>; ), so he came out surprisingly well, I think. The background is just a photo I took that I played with till it looked less...photo-ishy. Since I had absolutely no desire to draw an entire garden... =/

Glad you like. :) Lucian was pretty fun to do, I'm actually disappointed that the image shows up so small online, since you can't see him too well.

Two new pics, hurray~ First one is Jared and Reign fighting...shirtless! Hurray. Although it's highly nonsensical seeing as how that would be the dumbest idea ever. Made this one for SHE. Second one is me playing with the idea of getting rid of Kite's bangs...Dunno what to think, really. He looks oddly younger without the bangs, and I'm not sure it suits him. I had fun shading the long banged Kite, though.

The Jared and Reign pic makes me chuckle, partly because of the reason you drew it and largely because of the spectators.

Kite without bangs almost looks like a different person. =o
(Which reminds me: do you pronounce his name KIGHT or KEE-teh? Wondering because the same thing bothered me forever with Kite from Hunter x Hunter. =p)

(Kight I guess? Like the thing you fly in the sky.) And yeah, he does look a lot different without bangs. I like the look, but I dunno if I like it for him. Though it doesn't help that his chin and noce are somewhat different from the comparison pic. :p
