The cover design for the topic is pretty awesome. All stylish, a nice blend of colors, and an overall nice tone.

"Bah", true to its title or not, has nice proportions, and her downcast expression truly does tell a tale. I'm particularly fond of the beaded necklace.

"Portion of Carson", while I'm delighted to see a familiar face, seems a bit strange. This is likely due to the fact that it's not a full body shot -- when I first saw the picture, I thought it had been cut off while you were scanning. It also looks like his head is too small for his body, or maybe his neck is just too long. One of the two. I do like the flames in his hand, though, as well as his excellent facial expression (and his hair!). I'm also enjoying the buttons on his coat.

"Khuzaymah" makes me happy, mostly because I enjoy looking at pictures of Khuza in general. Something about his face seems a bit off to me as well, though - at first glance, and even at second, I want to say that it's his nose that's caught my attention. At third glance, however, it feels almost like it's something else that I can't place. Once again, it looks to me like his neck is a tad too long... His hair is awesome, though. And his earring.

"An Annoyed Lucian" also makes me very happy, especially since I don't see much wrong with it aside from the concept that his head might be a bit squished. Not enough to make it anything negative, though. Yay Lucian!

And finally, "My Boyfriend". I like his beard. And his hair.

I think it's a little bit of both for Carson. I drew Khuza's nose differently for this one, that might be what you're picking up on. Lucian was actually rushed, so I'm surprised there's not more to find on that one (though I was pretty happy with it for that fact, too). :p

He's 27, so he certainly is old to a degree (though I won't say that to his face...), but I don't think he's that old looking, at least not older looking than he actually is.

Yeah, Hiro came out well, but not all that differently from how he usually looks. Personally, how he looks just bores me a little bit.

Yeah, so I completely forgot that I have pics of two painting I did this past year to show you guys. The first is my Beauty and the Beast painting that I did for an art show my sister wanted me to participate that only barely got into said show cuz my sister forgot to tell me when the frick it was. *sigh* But it was awesome cuz the painting was actually sold to a woman who wanted to give it as a gift for a girl she knew! (I got $190~)
The second is a painting I did at Kamau's request that came out pretty awesome, at least Ishida's side. Lucian still looks awkward to me, but that's probably because, unlike Ishida, I had absolutely no photo reference, which leads to disappointing faces and awkward postures. But the left side looks cool, right?

I have close-ups to show detail in some spots, but I won't post those unless people are actually interested.

Yeah, I'm not very good at making horrendous/scary/gross things. They just turn out... Cute.

I couldn't get Ishida's expression just right. It's hard to make someone look like they're grieving a lot without just making their face look wrinkled and contorted. It didn't help that SHE (who modeled Ishida for me) just would not emote. I'd tell her to look sadder and she'd just slump slightly. It was like "Argh! no! With your FACE! D:<"
I swear, I should've just puched her in the gut and snapped a pic.
Whereas Lucian's expression was easier to convey because he was supposed to be looking more solemn than anything else.

And arms/hands are weird in general, and with the angle her hand was at it just was even harder to do :p But it got to the point that I'd ruin it entirely if I worked on it anymore, so I had to leave it as it is.

I always have and still do love the Ishida/Lucian picture to pieces. <3 Same goes for the Beauty and the Beast one.

It was a super fun photo shoot, too. We totally have to do another one!
