So, I think the coloring on this turned out spectacularly. <3 But seriously, I kind of wonder how I managed this one. He is just... awesome.

So, yeah, a small story about how Fay came to be human again.

While in Atlantis, Beatrix kept having visions of the various Dragons from myth. She kept seeing the various harm humans were doing to the world as well as to the dragons and gods. During the latest vision she was repeatedly mocked by one of the dragons for being weak and unable to do anything about the humans as she should. This, well, made her angry. Actually, everything sort of made her angry. So angry that she ended up turning into a giant serpent and started destroying Atlantis in an uncontrollable rage (it was awesome).
Aiden tried to talk to her and calm her down (it didn't work) where as Fay attempted a more physical approach (it didn't work). Namely, he jumped onto the giant dragon's back and tried to wrangle it down to the ground. She basically just flicked him off with her tail after trying to hit him off a few times.
Fay... Well, he ended up having his back skinned and several bones broken from the fall. It really wasn't a smart move. Aiden, realizing that Fay would probably die if something wasn't done, ended up dragging him to one of Atlantis' hospitals. There he found big machines with tube-like apparatus that you put the patient in and a screen next to it with various options on it. After some difficulty and scaring everyone off by getting angry and punching a machine, Aiden finally figured out how to get the thing to work (for the most part). He left Fay alone while he tried to locate the now human Beatrix and the rest of the group. I'm sure you can imagine Fay's confusion at waking up to find that not only was he not dead and completely fine, but he was now human again.
When everyone was reunited (well, except Cora, she got herself kidnapped during the whole sh-bang) they figured out that these machines could heal mythological ailments as well as ordinary diseases and wounds. The only problem was that it turned him completely human. No more super human strength or the ability to control and speak to snakes, spiders and scorpions.
This lead to a lot of problems we normally didn't have to deal with, like him getting an infection and nearly dying (yet again). It wasn't until later when we all had to face two trials, one on our own and one while working with another person that this ended up fixed. He had his strength and powers restored while being able to retain his humanity when he finally accepted who he was and stopped letting himself be weak.

I've said it once already, but I'm going to say it again: that Fay boy has some crazy wild hair.

Jared is from your RP with SHE, right? Is there a story behind his blind eye? He doesn't look very happy about it.

Yes. Yes there is a story behind it, but it's also quite possibly one of the darkest most complicated stories we've had in that RP... So, I'll just tell you about it next time I see you on aim (or through pm, if you prefer).

Ten new pics! :D First three pics in the fourth column are all characters from a new RP with SHE and Wendy. Luca and Cailin are mine, Gwyn and Aine are SHE's, Catria and Haku are Wendy's. It's heavily based on Celtic mythology.

First pic in the fifth column is Garnet, the future daughter of Jared. We were talking about plot points, so I had to get a character design out. Then are Haze's dog and Red's cat (two of three triplets that were drawn a while ago). The reason I didn't color the rest of these is this pic right here. I was originally going to color all of these before posting, but I kept getting bored. I kind of forced myself to finish the coloring of this one and it looks pretty bad in comparison to what could have been done. Third pic is pretty self explanatory.

The last four pics in the sixth column are all of Derek, a new character SHE and I incorporated into out story. He's basically Athena's new love interest. The last on is him and his brother, Dirk. They're identical twins... Or they were, as Dirk would say, due to the scars and busted up nose Derek has. Really, I think I could have done a better job of them looking more identical, but... eh.

Does Pepe normally have really long hair? Cuz that's not what I would normally call "short."

I also want to poke fun at Wendy again for giving a Celtic-setting character a thoroughly Japanese name.

Yeah, Wendy's silly like that... :p

And yes, Pepe does normally have long hair. It's kept in a braid all of the time, but when it's loose it's really long... like, upper thigh length. So, for him, that's very short. :p

Sometimes a drawing does not require colour to be complete, and will oftentimes seem fine without being coloured in. Of course, this is down to your artistic direction, so if you feel they need colour then that is perfectly acceptable as well.

Now, I would like to clarify something before I make a critique about one of your drawings in particular. In regards to Derek and Athena, could you tell me about them? I don't mean in a story/background sense. For example, are they human/something else, how old are they, how tall, etc.

Derek and Athena are both human, Derek's 28, Athena is 21. As far as how tall, we never came up with exact measurements. Derek is supposed to be really tall and Athena's supposed to be really short and dainty and that's basically as far as we covered that.

Ah, I see. My concern was that the proportions were a little off, as Derek seemed to be overly large compared to Athena. But as you said, Derek is really tall, and Athena is short/dainty so it is understandable that he would seem to dwarf Athena. Such is the curse of short/dainty people I would assume. :)

Actually, in the Derek and Athena pic, they are rather disproportionate. It was the first time drawing Derek in a full body pose and the first time I drew them together, so I didn't quite get it right. By the time I noticed, I'd already finished putting all the detail into Athena, so I couldn't bear to erase it.
I actually thought I'd mentioned that in an above post, but apparently not. :p

Well, considering that it was the first time that you had drawn them together I believe some disproportion is allowed. :D

Anyway, I have confidence that you will have learned from the experience, and will capitalise on it in the future. :)

Lots of new pictures. I'd been too lazy to actually post them, but here there are. They're all mostly pictures from the RP, with the exception of the Arcane children pic and Playing with Fire.

I also have lots more, but I'm saving those for the next post... Because they will all be Pokemon related pictures.

Yep. I've taken to drawing whenever I skype and RP with SHE... so... I basically draw all the time now. Hurray!
