Bwahaha, the fork. Before I get into that, though... Yeah, Hellzar and Kazule are both from Arcane. They're both dragons, too. Hellzar is the prince of the Draconic Kingdom and Kazule, while just a noble, is widely known as the best Draconic sorceress and one of the oldest dragons still around (she's millions of years old). The only reason she looks as young as she does is because how a dragon appears in humanoid form depends completely on how good they at magic. Being the best sorceress around more or less has its perks. Hellzar on the other hand, is really bad at magic, which is why he has patches of scales, as well as a few other Draconic features.

Now, the fork... Basically (and I'll try to make this short) it all started when Hellzar was just living a relatively ordinary life in his Kingdom. He was a runt and has always been much smaller than most other dragons, this in combination with the fact that he's bad at magic (which dragons are supposed to be really good at), he has a bad temper, and he was a Luminus (royalty) meant he got very little respect. He was regularly made fun of, despite his status, especially by his older brother, Emeligine. Now, there are basically two types of Luminus dragons. Silver and Gold. Hellzar is a gold dragon, while his brother is a silver dragon. One day while they were sparring together, his brother started to make fun of him, more or less to piss him off so he could beat Hellzar more easily. Instead, Hellzar snapped a little and accidentally murdered him in the heat of his anger. Ordinarily, by Draconic code, killing another dragon would earn one the death sentence, but Hellzar was now the only heir to the throne. So, he was to be exiled until it became time for him to take the throne (there were various ways to shorten the sentence, but I won't get into that). However, Hellzar has always felt guilty and, as way to remember his brother and what he did, he's collected a horde made entirely out of silver objects. The most common things are usually silverware.

One thing I do kind of wish I'd done with that picture is made him look contemplative or something. It just seems odd that he's looking at the viewer, now that I think about it.

And I think I vaguely remember the outfit you mean, as far as Fate goes.

Ooooo, Fate looks....sinister. XD I like his outfit. And his hair.

I don't know what you did different with Hellzar, buuuuut I really like how he looks in this one. And naah, it's not weird that he's looking at us. He's all "I dare you to say something about my fork. Go on."

Kazule looks very pretty, too. :) I like her hair a lot, and her eyes.

Aah! Medusa! And...Spider. >.>

I drew the scales on Hellzar differently, as well as placed the braids a little differently (I like how the scales turned out and I used the same method for Fay, as well). I suppose that is true with the way he's looking. XD it's certainly an entertaining way to think of it.

And yes. Giant spider. The best part is that Aiden is a severely arachnophobic (I swear, these two were meant to be nemesiseses). The worst part is that I was scaring myself silly looking for reference pictures to base the thing off... >_> I ended up winging it cuz I couldn't stand to stare at any one picture for too long. So...chances are, its anatomy is probably off. But I don't care. At all. Eugh.

Twenty days later, I finally have something new to post.

Anyways, these are all character reference pics for what Kamau and I are writing. Khuza's my favorite and I mostly only drew him so I could better picture him with that scar (since his costume and everything has been pretty set for a while now). It was pretty hard to draw, but I'm fairly happy with it.

I wasn't as keen on the previous pics of Ishbuu, but I rather like these design pics. And I dunno if I just didn't see her tail in the "walking" pic before now, but I just realized...is she a werecat? Or something else?

Yeah, she's a werecat. Honestly, I have a tendency to forget to draw their tails >_>;; (the second design was actually one where I forgot, but I copy and pasted the tail from the other design so it's match).

It hasn't been an entire month and I have five new pics to show. I'm actually a little surprised by myself here. So, the art trade pic is just something I did for another artist on dA. No real biggie.

The other four characters are all from the same thing as before... I was looking at the old pictures of them and felt pretty disappointed by how shoddy the art was now. Sooo, I redrew them. Pretty proud of 'em, honestly. :) There may be a fifth character to join them later in the week. We'll see.

Anyways, since I've did it for Dennis, Fay and Junpei...

Beatrix is a sheltered college drop out who ran away from home after learning her real father was Manannán mac Lir and, in addition to learning that, finding out that her (fake) dad knew she wasn't his daughter. She probably didn't mean to stay away for so long, but once she got caught up in things, it was hard to just leave and go back home. She's been deemed by the rest of the group as the secret evil who is bound to back stab them all, even though she's probably too lazy to bother, even if there are a few other characters she doesn't like. She had also sacrificed her left eye in order to use her crone item without any repercussions, as such her left eye is now that of a snake's. Thanks to it, she can now turn into a giant serpent whenever she wants (though she rarely does).

Cora is the daughter of Persephone. She grew up in an orphanage and eventually by some means became a sniper for hire. She's a major bitch and is usually the first one to call Beatrix out for acting evil, despite the fact that everyone agrees that Cora is the real evil of the group (though, really, I think we all are). Even though she's an excellent sniper and great at being stealthy, she apparently can't hold her tongue very well as she has, on numerous occasions, said exactly the wrong thing at the wrong time. She also screeches a lot. Above all, she is very greedy. Cora had a twin sister, who she later got into a fight with which lead to an epic sniper shoot out. Cora won and killed her sister...then stole all her stuff, because she's a bitch like that. She gave her sister's sniper rifle to Beatrix (also, we think her sister was the 'good' twin). With her crone item she can walk into dreams.

Zoé is the daughter of Baron Samedi. She was raised in New Orleans. Her mother, a jazz singer, was murdered by a jealous stalker, at which point her neighborhood's voodoo priestess (and close friend of the family) raised her. Zoé is the only character who was aware of who her divine parent was at an early age. Gradually over her life she was given more birthrights, the last one being her staff. This happened shortly before hurricane Katrina and was the only reason she didn't die. You see, her staff gives her the ability to go underground and not have to worry about being buried to death. When the hurricane hit, their home collapsed, killing her mentor in the process, but Zoé was safe thanks to her staff. She spent the remainder of her time before meeting us rebuilding New Orleans by setting up fundraisers, projects and the like (she also extorted money out of a number of people). Later in the game she ended up falling for Junpei, though they never actually had the opportunity to spend enough time with each other to make anything of it. Still, when he died she mourned the most. She might, however, have plans to resurrect him, if she can figure out how (she'll have to find out how, anyway, if she's to keep her promise to Dennis).

Aedan is the brawn of the group and, to a lesser degree, the brains (though he never gets any credit for it). Before meeting the rest of us, he traveled around the world as part of a famous acting troupe. He's loud and boisterous, which I guess goes along well with his love for acting and singing. He's the son of Hestea, but was adopted by Ares. After discovering his mother's identity, he only grew closer to his non-warlike roots which...his father apparently didn't like. On his father's behalf, his half-brother delivered a new gift which was to help Aedan remember who he really was (his brother than kicked him in the face for not being enough of a warrior and left). The gift was a crudely made club. Seriously, it looked like crap. Aedan soon found out that if he fought with this club, it would send him into a berserker rage in which he would kill everything. Apparently it wasn't exactly supposed to do this, as Ares eventually appeared before him and explained he was supposed to harness the power of the club and not let it lead him into just massacring everything. Aedan learned how to do this and found out that the more the club was bathed in blood the more it changed. At it's peak level, it becomes a war axe... Hence why he's covered in blood (it was also fun to draw).

These four are the player characters. Beatrix (me), Cora (Dea), Aedan (BF), and Zoé (SHE) were all on the same side to stop the Sun Wrath (it's like global warming caused by angry titans). Beatrix, Cora and Aedan all met in Atlanta when the Sun Wrath started to take effect there. Zoé we ended up meeting days later in New Orleans, her home town. She sort of reluctantly joined the rest of us, as she's a community leader and a major influence on the Katrina repairs. The only reason she really joined us was the knowledge that the Sun Wrath would destroy New Orleans (and everywhere else) if it wasn't stopped. The rest of us had little motive, really. Cora was in it for money (our mentor of sorts promised to pay her thousands of dollars for helping), Aedan thought it was the right thing to do, and Beatrix didn't really want to, but no one really gave her a choice in the matter... Plus she kind of had nothing better to do. Since then their motives have changed, well... Little. Aedan is in it because he's a nice guy, Cora wants to now spend her money (but can't because we fucked up and civilization went bye-bye for now) and Beatrix still doesn't know why the fuck she's helping but doesn't really have anything better to do. Zoé, while she isn't in the second arc of the game, chose to stay behind in order to hopefully help her home town, but mostly just because SHE had to drop out of the game (college).

Yeah... one other pic. This is Raven and I don't like her. I only drew her because I drew everyone else, but seriously? Suits suck. I don't like drawing them. They are awkward. It doesn't help that her hairstyle totally doesn't work with a suit, but hey, whatever. I didn't decide what she looked like.

Anways, Raven is the newest member of the group. She comes from Iceland and is the only character aside from Fay who speaks English as a second language. Yet despite this she has no accent and goes by an English name (interesting character point or a flaw by her creator's hand? Hmm...) Apparently Raven is just a nickname given because of her dark hair, but I don't know what her actual name is. She doesn't know her divine parent, but it's suspected that it might be Vidar or one of the other Norse gods. The wolf by her side can turn into mist and is usually kept, in mist form, in a small pouch. As far as i know, it doesn't have a name, but she has a habit of referring to it as 'the thing in the pouch that likes to eat'. Her character was found by the rest of us after we defeated the big baddie. Apparently, she was being kept prisoner in a hotel room, but was freed by Junpei when he needed to pass his crone item (a crystal ball) on to someone. We have no idea if this is true, because Junpei was found dead not far from where we met her. So, for all we know she shot him in the head, looted his body and then crafted a nice little story.

Yeah, the Asian died. :( Twice (or three times if you count the time he went to Hades). The first time he was shot in the head by Cora's good twin, but we needed someone to fly a plane and he was the only one of us with, you know, any sort of knowledge about tech stuff (it's his super power)...Soo, Cora and Gabby (only character I haven't drawn, I might, I dunno) brought him back to life. As a walking corpse with a chunk of his head missing. He freaked out, to say the least. We kept saying we'd try to find him some sort of replacement body, but we couldn't find something that would work. So... He kind of kept rotting. Presumably, this is what killed him the second time.

Personally, I kind of like Junpei more than this person. Raven is just a second Cora and three Coras are enough, god damn it (granted, she killed her identical twin, but still).

This pic was done for my Grandpa's 90th birthday. I had a lot of trouble coming up with a present and originally I wasn't going to draw him a picture since, oddly enough, it's kind of looked down in my family of artists to give artwork as a gift. Certain members of my family think it makes you look cheap. However, I got this idea really late/early last night/this morning after not being able to sleep. All in all, spent about 10 straight hours on it.

It's supposed to be in sort of an Art Nouveau style, which I've never attempted, but I'm rather happy with the result. Personally, this style is one of my favorites. <3 I don't think it's very obvious, but the flowers are chrysanthemums, the birth flower for November (I'm not very good at drawing flowers).

I think I'll have to start working in a larger scale, though... hrmm...

Almost looks like it could be stained glass. Fancy.

And that does seem a bit odd that a family of artists would look down on gifts of art. =/

Yeah, it is pretty odd. I think it's because around birthdays and holidays, you tend to get two to three pictures as gifts, rather than anything on your gift list. :p Mostly it's the materialistic people in my family who act like this.

However, I had some pretty good success with this pic, as my grandpa was pretty impressed by it. :^^: Most of my family doesn't actually know the extent of my artistic ability, so this came as sort of a surprise, I think.

Horus is a character who has yet to appear and me and SHE's rp. Robin is also from that RP, but has been introduced by this point. She is a fun character. She's a rogue who is to be the (new) main love interest for one of our main characters, Jared, after his heart got stepped on. :D Hooray.

So, I was talking with SHE about our RP when she realized that we'd been RPing back and forth for all of four years. Now, that's nothing in comparison to how long Kamau and I have been writing, but still pretty good considering this RP probably should have wilted and died away, like, after the first major plot. Srsly. In anycase, she suddenly got it in her head that it would be totally and completely awesome if I drew an anniversary picture featuring every character in the game. I stupidly agreed. All in all, this picture is only missing one character... and that's only because he was created while I was drawing the picture (and we have yet to discuss what he looks like or any other such details).

I think this took over a week to complete and, if Kamau and Stars get their way, it won't be the last epically large picture I do, either (though, those won't be for a long, long time most likely).

Characters featured:

1.Ire 2.Rosalyn 3.Marie 4.Ferrand 5.Sable 6.Leopold 7.Mr. Smith 8.James Boyd 9.Severus 10.Amelia

You know, I'd use my wrist as an excuse not to draw the others, but... surprisingly, my wrist didn't cramp up with this one. :o There was, like, one day where I had to force my wrist to rest, but that was brought on more by baking than drawing (kneading dough specifically). It's really weird, but I guess I'm glad either way.

Though, the Arcane and Destiny pics will probably be even bigger than this. Just simply because I found that 11x14 just isn't big enough for this many characters. They all ended up being so tiny.
