A reboot probably because the original didn't sell too well, and it's been forever since it came out. Obviously EA just wants to franchise everything, so it's understandable.

See, I don't agree at all. The story in the first game was pretty basic, so it should, in theory, be pretty easy to write a sequel and only make cursory references to the first game. Why make a prequel? Why reboot the first?

The Edward Norton Hulk movie wasn't that much better than the Ang Lee Hulk.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

But people who never played Mirror's Edge are going to be put off unless you just name it the same game. I wouldn't want to play the new one if I've never played the old one.

Pretty sure I just over-dosed on nostalgia and lameness. I used to have this video. Oh my goodness.

I know some people aren't fans of Yahtzee, but this episode about E3 was especially good.

Just hit 100 games in my Steam library, and I've probably played less than half of them.

What the heck, self?

Article about the "biggest battle in EVE history ever."

What do you guys think about eve? Sometimes I wish I had time to dedicate to this game, if only to be part of something like this, because that kind of stuff just can't really happen in other games. My problem is getting past the grind, or the real-world dollar barrier, in order to feel like any substantial part of the world.

Planetside 2 also does a pretty great job of presenting massive, emergent battles to large groups of players. I enjoy playing it, but I kinda suck, so I only play once in a blue moon.

I don't know if other MMOs are doing anything similar, mostly because I don't pay much attention to MMOs. But, if they aren't, they should.

When I started writing this post, I thought I had a bigger point to make, but I can't think of anything else to add. I'm still going to leave this... What do you guys think about this stuff?

I feel the same way about EVE. Planetside 2 is so much fun! It just takes a bit of practice to develop that minute muscle memory.

We've made too many compromises already, too many retreats. They invade our space, and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far and no further!
