Decided to give Valdis Story a try, being one of many games that's just been collecting figurative dust in my Steam library. It's a fairly good action RPG with a decent upgrade system and some pretty 2D graphics. The menu is a bit clunky at times, but it's manageable. And I do wish that MP regenerated faster so I didn't have to hide in corners waiting to cast a healing spell after rushing through rooms full of enemies, but that's somewhat my own fault I suppose.
EDIT: I must admit I'm impressed with the boss battles. Even on Normal difficulty, you can't just get in their face and mash attack and expect to get away with it. Some of them actually require a bit of study to figure out how to take them down and not die in the process.

I played for about two hours or so and so far the game has encouraged me to find treasure chests and maps and floating shapes and... chase music notes. Seriously. Chasing music notes.
I have done surprisingly little stabbing. We could reskin this as a mickey mouse game, and nobody would notice.
I am glad I didn't pay for this. Ubisoft's open world formula is kind of bonkers.

Played DuckTales Remastered last night. Pretty decent oldschool platformer action. Nothing particularly great but a good time none-the-less, even if it is mostly for nostalgia reasons. I don't know if it actually has the same level design as the NES version, but if not, they've done a pretty good job of recreating that feeling. Lots of little nooks and crannies to explore, just like in the Olde Dayes.
Or, to put it more politely, "Neener neener."

I have not played GTA V since hitting level 100 in GTA Online.

(I still live)
So lately I had been trying to finish game stories
Only managed to beat Tales of Xillia tho.
There was also the playing and beating of Azure Striker Gunvolt and Mighty Gunvolt~
As of recently my time has been consumed between Destiny/Hyrule Warriors and Smash Bros 4 all of which i do not regret putting so much time into~

Osu is hard.
Really hard.
And I've been trying to get back into Total War but that's hard as shit considering I make a campaign then restart it over and over and over.

Things I have been playing over the past few weeks (I guess, how time flies).
Hyrule Warriors: I gave this up the day before Super Smash Bros. It's good, but I don't think it'll convert many people who hate Dynasty Warriors, but it is a very good starting point. I am however a bit disappointed as a Dynasty Warriors fan, and a Zelda fan. But as a fan of both I am pretty elated. I have very mixed feelings on this game, obviously. Can't wait for DLC to get me to play it again.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax: I enjoy how expanded the roster is and how different all the characters play. I haven't done much but play mutiplayer with Bee, but it is a great sequel to Arena.
Super Smash Bros for 3DS: I really like it but I think I'm done with it. The online play is terrible, for me at least. I think my 3DS wifi is just terrible or something, or it's the game (because my internet in general does not suck). The controls are eh (smashing is so hard sometimes) and I don't really like Smash Run at all. Despite this I do really like the game, and pick it up like once a day for a few minutes. Buuuuut I can't help but feel I'm going to be having a much better time in a few weeks when I get this on my Wii U and I might never touch this game again.
Final Fantasy IX: People in a chat room at work were talking about Final Fantasy and I really wanted to play one, so I started playing this one, because I love it.

alien isolation is pretty so far, but i haven't seen the alien yet. im just walking through the ship turning on the power and cutting locks. still the very beginning.
Maybe the plot twist is that there is no Alien, and you really are isolated.
I hope the whole game is walking through the ship turning on the power and cutting locks.

now i'm in the next area, and there are other survivors with guns. i have a big metal wrench, but since this is a survival game, i can't swing it worth anything.

Been playing Super Smash Bros. 3DS trying to figure out what to do with it. I have yet to play it with any friends yet. That leaves me with either kicking the asses of the CPUs, or getting my ass kicked by online play. Why does everyone online spam dodging?!

bone references.
Alien Isolation is starting to show itself to me. Whenever i walk into the Alien's danger zone perimeter, the camera snaps towards it rushing me for the kill. now i know how to figure out where it's waiting for me, and i know not to walk under it because the game will automatically kill me, instead of letting me think i can outrun the alien. this makes the whole experience a lot more mechanical. i still love it though, because i'm playing it with the expectation that i'm going to be hunted in space.
