I had no idea that's what you meant by aura, so yeah, that was completely unintentional. :P I'm glad you like the idea of them being androgynous, and that the blankish look works. Though, as far as the fin-ears go, you could always make them a semi-aquatic race to explain that (I have no idea if you settled on their environment or not).
Glad you love it~

I'll probably make them at least coastal. I just showed the pic to one of my friends at work who's into fantasy RPs and RPGs, and he commented that it looks like an aquatic elf. =p

New pic, hoorah! I am immensely happy with this one. Started with a painting that kept failing epically (srsly, every attempted looked horrid), first the guy would look seriously ill, then male-model chiseled (which just looked weird) and so on. So, getting irritated with that, I decided to just sketch out some details to use as a basis, since before then I'd been painting without any basis. Then... Yeah, that sketch just kept going and going until it turned into something awesome. I still wanted to paint it, though, so I did my usual method of coloring pencil drawing, 'cept with more effort than usual. End result- even awesomer than before~! So, yeah, totally happy about this.

The character (though I know half, if not all, of you will just skim over this, but whatever) is Dennis, from a game I've been playing with a couple of friends. He is decidedly the best NPC of all. He's the son of Dionysus and as such is always drunk. When we first met him he just kind of seemed a dead beat who really didn't want to have anything to do with us, unless it meant there'd be some partying involved. He ended up being dragged not into our affairs, but our rivals'. He then became the biggest pain in the ass ever. Any time our groups were within proximity, he'd usually wreck the windshield of our car, make fun of us, oooor try to kill someone using his maenads. He also proved, on multiple occasions, that he was one evil bastard. For example: during a trial given by one spiteful old crone, they were given the task to make one particular village even more hellish than it was. All of the rivals refused... except for him. He won the challenge by poisoning their alcohol supply (in a town where drinking water was not a safe option), burning homes and kidnapping every young, attractive woman and turning them into maenads. He's sexist, usually targeting strong, independent women for his maenads, has a habit of being lazy, whiny ("But I don't waaannaa..." is his most common phrase), cowardly, and, well, pretty damned useless. He ordinarily puts in the least amount of effort possible unless his life depends on it (and even then only if he thinks he can't run away).
When we and our rivals started working together, we found out more about his past (he's one of two characters with such character development). Apparently, he used to work in an office, and often had every prominent female figure in his life bitch at him for one thing or another. They were mostly the strong and independent type. He and his wife had been expecting a baby and, during the babyshower, had every woman present either bitching at him or talking behind his back. One glass of wine lead to another and, on the drive home, he got into a car accident. Upon waking up in the hospital, his wife starts screaming at him about how they lost the baby and it was all his fault. She ends up telling him that she's leaving him aaaand, that's when his father appears and blatantly informs him of his heritage (and by blantant, I mean, "Yeah, so I was at this party and there was this really fugly chick that I totally banged. That chick was your mom... Hi, son!").
In the end, he starts acting, uh, better after being promised that his dead son can be ressurrected by Zoey. Though, all that means is that he's being slightly less evil and more useless than ever.

Thanks! Scoundrel is probably one of the nicer things you could call him.
-----
Another new one. Drew this just because SHE saw the Dennis pic and wanted me to draw her another NPC, Junpei. There will probably be a good break in between pics now as I'm fairly certain I killed my wrist (I took only a couple of breaks during this one, drawing and painting, not my smartest move).

About the character (skip if you're lazy!):
Junpei was, for the longest time, known to us merely 'the asian' as while our rivals lack morals, we lack etiquette and we...just sort of never asked him his name. He is the son of one of the Japanese gods....which I kind of forgot which one. I think Raiden. He's a tech geek and has tons of gadgets on him at all times, including a magic PDA (it has the awesome ability to have service no matter what). I was originally going to picture him with said PDA, but it looked really glossy and I sort of turned it into an i-pod/phone/whatever just for fun. He is also both the luckiest and unluckiest NPC ever. Junpei has seriously been shot in the head three times, each on a different occasion.

The first time, Cora went to shoot him in order to prevent Beatrix from, uh, accidentally being dropped into lava as a consequence of what Junpei was doing... He then got right back up and just went on with his business.

The second time, Cora shot him in the head as he went to aid Dennis in a fight against Aiden. This time he didn't get right back up, but we soon saw him after the incident completely healthy. Despite the fact that he'd been dragged into hell...but nevermind that.

The third time he was shot in the head from a far and, that time, died. Our rivals believe Cora killed him, however, we deny that as it's apparently impossible for Cora to kill anyone with a head shot (srsly)... Instead we think it's her evil(er) twin.

This pic is actually out of date as currently in the game, Junpei is a walking corpse, but SHE requested he be drawn before he had his brains blown out.

I wish I had a magic PDA...
For some reason it makes me a little sad that he wears his watch on his right wrist. And it figures that an evil geek would have an iPhone. =p

I like him, though. He's not quite as striking as the Dennis pic, but you can definitely tell that he's Asian and a nerd.

Bahah, I didn't even think about that with the iPhone. XD Though he's really the least morally corrupt of all the rivals...I think he just sort of gets dragged into their schemes.
And I didn't even think about which wrist it was when I drew the watch...What's wrong with wearing it on your right...?

Also, I'm oddly proud that he actually looks asian... I mean, I was afraid he'd just look, I dunno... like how I normally draw people, I guess? Since I do have a habit towards narrow eyes (was also afraid that the eyes would be the only thing I'd be able to communicate there, but I think I succeeded on a whole).

I think it is mostly the eyes that give off the "Asian" feel, but he does have a sort of oriental je ne sais quoi about him.

As for the watch...I dunno. I could understand if he's supposed to be a lefty, but it just feels wrong to have it on one's dominant hand. *shrug*

EDIT: Then again, if he's holding the iWhatever in his right hand, maybe he is a lefty. =p

New pics, yay!

First one is Beatrix. Had to draw a portrait as her left eye was recently replaced by a snake's eye and...yeah, I had trouble visualizing that. So I had to draw it. I think this pic could have been better (a few proportions look off to me), but meh. I was gonna color it, but I've had less patience for art lately. The second are three new characters from mine and SHE's game. they have yet to actually appear in the game, but we have a pretty decent idea of how the characters will turnout. All three of them are the children of Nimue and Garrett, younger siblings of Jared and Lauren.

About the characters:
Hazel (possibly the youngest) is the only boy of the three, he was also sickly from birth, which resulted in him being the most sheltered of his siblings. He rarely spends time outside and does little to no physical activity. Eventually he starts practicing archery, though it's uncertain if he actually likes it or if he just feels pressured to pick up some sort of athletic ability. He's also his mother's favorite as she wanted just one son who wouldn't blindly run off into danger or seduce women or something else she would regret. Hazel, even when he actually grows stronger and more independent, is more of a shy bookworm than anything else.
Rose (second youngest) is the identical sister of Red (oldest). Their names may or may not be temporary. Rose is a lot like her mother, and is the favorite of the two daughters (though it may not be apparent). She's quiet, lady-like and cries at the drop of a hat if you hurt her feelings. Which Red does. A lot.
Red is the trouble maker of the three, most likely because she feels slighted by all the attention given to her younger brother and sister (even if most of that attention was worry and fear that Hazel would die). She had a habit of dressing identical to Rose whenever she'd be up to something, in order to cause confusion over which one of them actually did it. That was eventually put to a stop when Rose, after yet again being scolded in Red's place, cut her hair in anger. Red could have just mimicked the hairstyle, but it was about at that point she realized how much stress she'd been causing her sister, so she decided to stop tricking their parents. When she stopped avoiding blame, she and her parents found that she really didn't care about getting into trouble. There wasn't a lot they could do, as far as punishment, that really phased her. Eventually, they also found just how ambitious she was, too. When she couldn't be the leader of the rogues (her older brother, Jared, occupies that position) she decided to run her own group of smugglers, eventually amassing a huge fleet of ships. When she wanted to rule her own kingdom, but knew that it would be hundreds of years before her opportunity could arise naturally (and only if her older brother didn't have children, which was a slim bet). Assassinating her family didn't seem like the best idea, either, since many have tried before and failed (horribly). So, she plans to invade a small, enemy country with that fleet of hers. Of course, we haven't ironed out the story for that, fully, but it seems like it will be fun.
Obviously, Rose is the least developed of the three, which should come as no surprise as she's really just her mother's clone...except without all the awesomeness her mother possesses.

I was watching Disney movies when I decided to draw this, randomly. I kind of like it. I'm sure the perspectives and the like are all wrong (I was never good at building perspectives), but they're better than they usually come out. :p Also, drawing windows absolutely suck! The character on the roof (looking down) is Kite, the one in the window (which is hard to see) is Iruka. Took about two days to finish this.

Heeeeeeey, I thought blimps were supposed to be a clean form of transportation. :XD:

I don't know what Disney movie you were watching, but the scenery is very vibrant. The perspective is a little off, especially with that building with the signage on it. My eye is drawn to the top of the picture because it has the most going on with Kite, the clothes line and the plants. The bushes on top and vines spreading down give the buildings a nice natural color to them instead of paint. Despite how small his eyes are, the glowing effect really shows. Finally...the shirt. Oh how it blows in the breeze, so free of the burdens of the world. Yes, I am fixating on the shirt. You'd probably hear the flapping in the wind, look up, gaze at the shirt, then suddenly notice Kite waving and fall over.

I was watching a whole mix of movies. :p It was basically a little Disney marathon (Aladdin, Lion King, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, Hercules...) Though,. I don't think I drew the design from any particular movie. And yeah, that airship is definitely not a clean mode of transportation. :o I'm very fond of how it turned out, though (it's probably my favorite part). I'm also fond of how Kite turned out. I do have to wonder if I made his eyes too small, though...

I like this one. Is the sign supposed to mean anything? And yeah, you can tell the perspective is off. I couldn't really tell with just the windows, but when I saw Iruka it made it look off. One of my favorites though.

Yeah, so have some new stuff that had been sitting in my sketch book. Admittably, I didn't give the Fate, Hellzar or Kazule pics much effort in coloring (although, really, the scanner didn't do the Hellzar and Kazule pics much justice, which is part of why). Although, personally, I'm very fond of Kazule. She came out looking awesome.

Now, Fay...ahem, as usual, if you don't care... Skip! Here comes another story.

Fay, unlike the other characters, is not the son of any god. At least, none that anyone (including him) knows of. Before we met him, he was a French male model and looked totally normal in every way. Then, after being pushed into attending a fashion show he would have rather of skipped, he, and everyone else there, were turned into gorgons after the place was gassed mysteriously. Now... The thing with the gorgons is that they're basically man eating monsters. So, when the government (possibly just a secret organization) was trying to clean this mess up and round them up for testing to see WTF happened...The gorgons basically just tore shit up. Fay was basically the only one who didn't go crazy and he ran away in the fray. He was pursued for a while, but after staying low, eventually escaped anymore notice.

We originally met him in Atlanta, in the same hotel everyone apparently was staying in at the time. At first, we actually didn't know if he was a guy or a girl, since he looks so feminine. It didn't help that he acts rather feminine at times, too. After our first brief run in with him, we didn't see him again until the Mother Spider crone trial (which was the first trial we had against our rivals). The trial was to make a sacrifice for Mother Spider's children (ie. millions of baby spiders). Since they didn't want to lose any one of their team members, so Fay opted to volunteer a couple of Dennis' maenads as the sacrifice- much to Dennis' annoyance, when we saw them leaving the challenge, Dennis was pissed and cursing at Fay. While he was always present, we didn't hear him speak or do much until the final trial, where once again we were competing with them. During this trial, our teams were all split up and mixed. Zoe found herself locked in a cell with Junpei and Fay. After Junpei broke the lock, they teamed up to find their way back to the rest of the teams. It was during this time that she learned that Fay's reason for doing all this was that he didn't want to turn into a monster. Zoe, being the bleeding heart, was immediately touched by this and wanted to help him. Unfortunately, after Aiden killed Dennis, Fay and the rest were quickly dragged down to Hades.

So, after discovering that they were the only ones who could stop the Lunar Wrath, we went to Hades to save them. Just like Dennis, Fay was suffering his own personal hell. Cora and Aiden descended into this Hell, to find him sitting in a chair in an apartment, staring at a lizard-like monster that was seated across from him. They asked him what he was doing and he immediately told them to shut up, that if they distract him, the monster will take over and kill them all. Cora then patiently (except not at all) explained to him that the monster was a part of him, that it always would be and that he should get over it (Cora is not good with people). Fay denied this and said he wanted the thing dead. Cora said the only way to kill it would be if he died as well. Fay then tried to commit suicide. Several times. During which the monster went berserk because it realized what he was trying to do. Aiden ended up trying to hold the thing off, while Cora tried to convince Fay that life was worth living (except not at all). While he was filling a tub with water for his latest attempt, she lost her temper and yelled, "Fine, you want to die? Here you go!" and proceeded to drown him (She's reeeaaally not good with people). Meanwhile, Aiden threw the monster into a wall and came over to stop Cora when he noticed a symbol on the base of Fay's skull. It was of a hammer hitting an anvil (a mark of Hephaestus) Aiden then realized he has a hammer. In his infinite wisdom (except not really), he decided it would be a great idea to hit the symbol with his hammer. He brained Fay. On the plus side, they did successfully pull him out of his hell by doing so. Unfortunately, Zoe was pissed. Dennis was shocked. Beatrix looked at Aiden's bloody hammer and went "WTF did you two do?!" Luckily, Fay wasn't completely dead and Zoe was able to heal him a bit. Although he didn't wake up and any more attempts to heal him further failed.

Sooo, we ended up dragging around a vegetated Fay until Cora, somehow, figured out how to fix the problem. See, when Cora got her Crone's Relic from the Goddess Coyote, she was granted the ability to walk into dreams. She used this on Fay and discovered that he was apparently still suffering that personal hell, just in his head now. This time the scenario was a fashion show. On the catwalk were, of course, various models showing off designer clothes. Except that, among the models, was the same monster they encountered earlier. Every time a beautiful model crossed paths with this monster, it would get jealous and kill them. At one point, she decided to jump onto the catwalk and try to stop the monster from killing another model. Except...Cora is very beautiful. Even worse, she nearly became a part of the dream when she suddenly found herself in a designer dress and, unable to control her own actions, started to walk the catwalk like any one of the other models. The monster noticed her instantly and it was only a few steps before she would have walked by it that she managed the willpower to overcome the dream and regain control of her own actions. She then jumped off the catwalk and decided to find Fay in all this. She found him in a corner, meekly serving hors d'oeuvres. She immediately tried to tell him that this was all a dream and that he needs to wake up, but, of course, he didn't listen to her and told her she was being strange. This time, Cora actually managed to act like a decent human being and, instead of telling him to go kill himself, she asked him why he wasn't up there himself. He got all shy and said that he could never be one of the models. He wasn't good enough or anywhere near as pretty as the rest of them. She tried to tell him he was wrong and, while it took come convincing, he eventually believed her and said, "You're right! I'm better than everyone here! I'm much prettier then all of these tramps! Or him! Or that! Or you!" Cora had thought with that, she'd have succeeded and Fay would wake up aaany moment now. 'cept he didn't. Which sucked, cuz she couldn't leave a dream unless the person having it woke up. Even worse, Fay realizing how pretty he was caught the monster's attention and it wasn't too happy about his arrogance. It got jealous and it was on its way to kill him, which until Cora pointed it out, he didn't notice at all. When he did, he just kept screaming "WTF IS THAT?! WTF." So, Cora grabbed him and ran out of the room. For a while there were a bunch of dressing rooms and halls, but they eventually out ran the dream, and ended up in white nothingness. Cora used this to convince Fay that this was all a dream and he asked "If it's a dream, how do I wake up?" Seeing that the monster was still following them, Cora told him that he couldn't be afraid of it anymore. So...Fay stopped running and beat it up.

Then, he woke up, miraculously became healed and then made us get him food (he'd been unconscious for, like, three days by this point). We brought him up to date on what had happened and the like (during which we conveniently forgot to tell him that Aiden had bashed his skull in) and continued on our quest. When our rivals succeeded in stopping the Lunar Wrath, the Crone Relic Fay was rewarded with was Mother Spider's...sack of spider eggs. His initial reaction was stare at them in disgust and merely go, "I don't like these... They're not pretty..." However, he's since then warmed up to them, since he discovered that with them he can created millions of spiders, snakes and scorpions. All of which he loves and thinks of as his children. To say the least, the rest of us think he's a tad crazy. He also has a habit of saying or doing odd or random things, which, while we don't know for sure, we think may be from the whole head-being-bashed-in thing. All in all, he's a silly character who takes himself far too seriously. Which is why I drew him looking serious facially, while some of the snakes are acting silly. As a way of trying to portray this. :P

Also, this is so freaking long. Kudos to anyone who finishes this.

Fate's outfit reminds me of...something...I just can't remember what. Maybe it'll come to me by the time I finish the rest of this post.
*!* Ah, that was faster than I expected. It reminds me of Fai's normal outfit from Tsubasa (when he's not wearing his robe, obviously).

Who is this Hellzar fellow, and why is he holding a fork?
I like it. But it confuses me. =p

I dig the curly hair in Kazule's pic. And the nose and lips, but especially the hair.
Is she from the same universe or whatever as Hellzar?

Huh, I hadn't caught in the description that Fay himself had also become a gorgon. Must have been reading too fast. I like the expressions on several of the snakes. =p
