Was this painting done with oils, or did you go with something less time-consuming this time?

I kinda realized that my drawings were becoming stagnant as all hell and it really was killing any drive I had for drawing outside of class. :/ So, since then, I've been trying to basically do the opposite of what I had been doing. No more random pictures of new character just because SHE wants to see how they would look when they'll only appear in our story, for like, a few scenes and then never have any major impact on the story, more dynamic poses (or really any poses that aren't just someone standing there with their hand on their hip), expresshuns!! and, in this case, sporadic color (though that wasn't intended and won't really appear in other pics unless I do more photoshop stuff).
As you probably can guess, this one in particular was done to vent (which is also why it's colored sporadically, don't ask me why, I have no idea. My venting pictures as of late just end up bursting with color and I don't even plan for them to). Nothing much, just built up stress, anxiety and anger, which has been collecting like some soul-dragging filth. So I arted and got rid of it. It probably, or hopefully, won't be the last of my venting pics, since venting creatively is certainly better than letting it collect.
But yeah, as I get further into spring break, I'll hopefully get off my arse and scan those other pictures, though no promises.

That's me putting a character label to your stress pic even though there isn't a label to put. :p
I do like it though. It creates the right atmosphere. The only thing I might have suggested if it wasn't just a vent piece would have been to create more of a shadow, either surrounding the person or creeping in from the edges of the pic. Doing either of those things could actually change the mood of the picture altogether, in fact. (At least, that's my opinion.) Creeping in from the edges would alter the chaotic colors surrounding her; instead of being her stress, they'd be her way of trying to push away the darkness. Shadows around her with the colors creeping in would either be the colors trying to come back to her, as she's surrounded by darkness.
But I do really like it as is. I just know you like critiques too. ;D

And it's ok, I kept coming up with reasons for why Kaye would be freaking out like this, too. XD I think it's innate when you're working with an actual character and not just some random person.
And thanks, everybody. :3

So, a new pic. This is a homework assignment I just finished and decided to scan, cuz, well, it's the first assignment I've done that's small enough to fit in my scanner. No other reason, really.
The objective was to create a narrative drawing, like a slice of life type of thing where you just have people doing stuff. I had absolutely no idea what to do for a while, but eventually settled on drawing something based on my own life. So, I drew SHE and I hanging out in my bedroom, RPing (or just talking, as it'd look to most people). Whenever we do this, a ton of stuff usually ends up strewn across my bed, and that stuff tends to be all the stuff you see here in the pic: sunflower seeds, a shopping bag to put the shells in, SHE's phone and bag, my sketchbook and pencil case and a can of Dr Pepper. I don't think the pic is super great, but hey, it's good enough. I guess I'm glad of how the background came out, since I don't do those often.

(But really this is cool. The little touches of stuff scattered around the bed just makes the scene lookmore realistic.)

Ha, yeah, I'll be honest, shoes on the bed have never bothered me. Heck, if this were a truly accurate picture, I'd be the one wearing shoes, not her (it's just that drawing bare feet at that angle is tricky...)
But thanks! I actually wanted to add more little things, since SHE tends to make a mess of my room, but I wasn't sure if it would just look more like clutter.

shoes on the bed are one thing, but how could you let anyone bring a purse full of sprinkles onto your bed?

hahah, I was wondering when someone would point that out. Surprisingly, you're the first one.
It's actually sunflower seeds, SHE and I eat them, like, everytime we hang out. And yeah, a lot of times shells get on the bed which I do admit is annoying, especially since a lot of times they're all where SHE was sitting. -_-"

I didn't point them out because I knew they were sunflower seeds... XD
P.S. SHE really does look like SHE in this. It looks awesome. :) Good job.
Though your feet are really tiny. :p

You also hadn't commented, so I wasn't sure if you had even seen. :P But thanks! Surprisingly, I didn't use any reference for her at all, it was all from memory.
As for my feet being tiny, well feet are hard, that's why. XD I'm pretty sure SHE's feet are also too small.

Is that a heater below the window?
Wouldn't sleeping right next to it be a fire hazard?

It's a hot water radiator, so no, it doesn't get hot enough to even scald if you were to put your hand on it for a while.
