the imperials/thalmor are the romans cracking down on christians, and talos is jesus. it's like a eeverse crusade. the thalmor are muslims, and the nords are the aryan anglo-saxons with their creamy skin and blue eyes and buffness

That doesn't make any sense though. Muslims didn't exist during the Roman empire and the persecuted Christians were not Aryan. I don't know what an eeverse crusade is.

It's just a story of colonialism like Morrowind, I don't see what Jesus has to do with it. Talos could be any number of regional heroes/gods that have become symbols of resistance to colonial power, but more likely he's not specifically meant to be any of them.

I'm a little sad that it really only featured just two people. Best choice though, two guards.

I blame Skyrim for it's addictiveness. Borderlands 2 came out and I was so going to play it everyday, however Skyrim crept into my mind and that's all I wanted to play. I'm glad I kept my save files. I tried starting over, but quickly realized how much I didn't want to do that. I love my Khajiit!

Now, I have never, ever, played Oblivion or Morrowind (But I'd love to, just looking for a download). But my friends who have, are really addicted to games like Skyrim (Heck, it's a nice formula)and Fallout 3. As for playing Oblivion or Morrowind, are they playable on a Windows 7/8?

I know it works on Windows 7. Though at this stage it's really worth installing some mods to make it pretty enough for today's standards.

Morrowind Overhaul 3.0 is the one I've been meaning to try out next time I get the Morrowind itch. It looks pretty enough:

MY GOD! I have never seen "normal" Morrowind, and I am guessing I'd probably not want to see it after watching how it looked in that video. Is it the game download? Or a mod (PLEASE DO NOT BE A MOD! Been dying to try out Morrowind/Oblivion.)

It's a mod for Morrowind. Get the GOTY version on piratebay.

The torrent should contain a file for each disc. If you know how to mount disc images then the rest of the process should be fairly straight forward. If not this might send you in the right direction. Let me know if you have any other problems.

having just finished Dragonborn on ps, have to say it was pretty rad. i like when you get to see other planes of oblivion, and Mora's delivered. the new shouts are useful without being too powerful, and the new armor types look really good. i got it half price which is good, because the only bad thing about it was that it was pretty short.there was a lot to explore, but the story seemed to end too quickly.

Okay, I'm trying to install this now. If I can run it on Linux I'll probably get sucked into it.

Anyone know of any good mod compilations?

That's a pretty good list. If you take only one from there, get Interesting NPCs because it is incredibly well done.

I have a few that do minor enhancements. When I'm back on my gaming PC, I might post a list. Though I actually don't recommend changing too much, not even the UI (the most popular UI "enhancer" SkyUI is actually worse than the default, in my opinion). Most of it works pretty well. Just play for a bit, and if something doesn't work for you, see if there's a mod for it. Since it's an Elder Scrolls game, there probably is.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.
