people, did any of you go into my new semi-maze located at my mini pyramid?

I went in to to gather some stone and coal (and enlarge my maze) and noticed I missed the iron ore block that was part of my staircase down.

I almost fell to my doom because of it, next time whoever did it, please repair it with dirt or anything else that stays in place...thank you.

edit: El Heffe update

So cool. I'm planning on getting on tonight and moving my base... again... I'll most likely be over to help out before I do though.

/>did a lot of work on El Heffe today.

- Expanded Bean's minecart network from the Chicken Shrine to El Heffe because I got tired of walking back and forth. (Sorry if I made it react too far Bean. Feel free to use whatever cobblestone I added to re-set it.)
- The place where you had the few furnaces and chest, I hallowed out that place and added:
+ 11 furnaces.
+ 4 large chest, plus one to add the the existing one.
+ 1 Workbench.
- Went to library, and surrounding area, to gather any extra dirt, saplings, and cobblestone.
- Finished top of pyramid.
- Went to my home base to gather more cobblestone. Also wood and coal.
- Added a few layers of tile to pyramid floor.

Now off to bed. My jaw is killing me.

thanks for helping spaz =D

El Heffe:

- floor almost done, new batch of stone should do it.
- pillar of lava in the middle of the pyramid for ambient light (other light sources will be added by those who will build inside EH)
- need to build a new floor at ~5 high (ithink, not sure...need to analyse), but not sure what im going to use for it, wood/cobble/dirt.
- need to figure out how to plant the trees, putting one on every dirt block would result in a massive amount of saproling, maybe ill do it every 4 blocks in a criss-cross webbing shape.
- need a warp point set up at El Heffe so other players can visit. (looks at Bean and Ax-pants)

new picture from my near house lookout point.

out of sight here is Beans cart track located to the left.

Not a problem. It was long over due from the first time I said I'd help.

I think I'll start on the trees. Using the criss-cross style you suggested.

Is it possible to make a warp to a random spot? That'd be awesome if you could.

Server's dead again ... I blame the harddrives =/. Hopefully a restart will magically fix everything, otherwise it'll likely stay down for 2 weeks as that's the soonest time I'll be home. I'll probably throw more RAM in it at that time as well, since it's currently swapping far more than it should.

Sorry guys~

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Why isn't the server hosted on MP? Doesn't MP have shell accounts?

It's against the rules.

And WHILE we do break the rules of Host Gator a lot...I think they'd notice a Minecraft server.

What would be the penalty? ( Other than Mp being taken away?)

Perhaps now would be the time to look into collectively purchasing a dedicated server. I am not entirely sure how it would work, but perhaps some of yous guys are smarts enough to figure it out.

Also could we use the monkeypro.net domain to redirect to our server?

Nah, don't need a dedicated server. A VPS would suit fine. Much cheaper, still full root access, and closer to MP's needs. VPS prices are generally close to shared hosting prices which boggles my mind.

EDIT: Speaking of VPS' I have one I cancelled, but they never actually cancelled... You could try throwing it up on there if you wanted. PM me if you want, BLU. It's still been up for like 4-5 months, lol.

That's awesome ... although I don't have any of the minecraft stuff (because who needs backups, right?), so Invince would be the person to talk to.

Does it gots enough memories? In my experience it needs more than 1gig to run the server comfortably.

Hmmm, well perhaps it was just swapping too much on BLU's computer when he had other programs clogging up the memory. It might be alright.

Is there a risk that it'll suddenly get taken down without warning when they realize you've cancelled it? Perhaps we could pitch in to help with the monies somehow.

I could switch MP over to a VPS...but one that could play Minecraft would mean:

A) I still think I'd have to switch away from Host Gator (Which is where MP is hosted right now)
B) I'd need help paying for it. MP right now is 15 bucks a month, which is already way more money than I wish to be paying. To change to a VPS would be like 40 bucks a month...which I am not willing to pay for at the moment.

I'd happily throw a further 15 bucks a month into the pot. Let me know the easiest way to get that to you.

The one concern I have, however, is that if we move all of monkeypro over to this new server and a couple of months down the line everybody is too busy or uninterested to play it anymore. Then we'd be in a situation where we're paying more for the hosting than we are now, and not actually using the extra goodness.
