/>What is causing so much lag? At first I thought it was just our connection, but now I'm thinking it's more to do with the buggy beta. I understand it's still being worked on and it is a ton better than what I could ever make it, but geez... For the short while I was logged on today it took the game more than two minutes to load the terrain around me. When it finally loaded I could only walk so far before it had to load again.

It might be due to other traffic on the network. Is there a time when you frequently play? I can monitor the traffic at that time and possibly limit some of the other things that are running at that time.

Amazing haul today during one of the best dungeon explores I've had in some time. I ventured out in to the tundra north-west of Lasterville, and found an extensive series of caves, which still has much left to find.

Here's my loot (Obviously some was brought from home):

Also, on the way back I noticed something curious. Who did this?

Yeah, sometimes you stop your pr0n torrents when people are playing and resume once they log off. The lag has been pretty awful for me, but I thought that was just because it was being hosted in Americas.

We should probably look into a dedicated server.

Oh and also there's a new version of hmod available if you fancy trying to get warps to work again, Vicious.

SERVER IS DOWN.

Hopefully for no more than 10 minutes, while I get hmod to work.

Server is back up, and running the new hmod for great justice. Not many warps are set, but when I have more time I will set some. Also, Bean can set some, too. HOWEVER! You all can use the /sethome command to... set your home. Which, when used with /home is like your own person warp point. Isn't that wonderful.

/spawn will also take you to the spawn point.

Have loads of fun.

The original warps should now be restored thanks to Vicious. Good job getting the new hmod to work too!

It honestly didn't take much at all.

It makes me wonder why it was so easy to get hmod working, but bukkit seems to not want to cooperate.

I have a three day weekend coming up. Maybe I'll have to experiment on my computer. Though, I don't plan on changing things on the server so long as things are working how we want them.

Thanks for the input you two. I feel slightly better knowing it's not just me. And BLU I usually play between 10am-12am then a short break, and get back on between 2:30pm to 8/9pm (Eastern Time). Granted I'm not on constantly during those times, but that's when I'm most active.

Let me know what problems you're having on msn and I'll see if I can offer any help.

Also: I have a new project. Me and the guy synth jockey in my band are working on translating some of our songs into Minecraft music. We've spent the last hour or so stockpiling absurd quantities of redstone. It's going to be epic.

So I guess one of the warps was messed up somehow, and I got warped in to a wall. And because I died before the world had loaded, all of the stuff you guys see in the screenshot a few posts back is now somewhere in the infinite pit underneath the world. Awesome.

I believe i saw a mod that puts almost all your items in a chest when you die, so you can retrieve it afterwards with less loss.
you should look it up, I dont have all the fine details.

Progress El Heffe:

- created 3 rings, fourth half done
- wanted to tile the floor, but notice i cant tile the edges because of my second ring (strange)
- in order to tile the edges i temporarily mined rings 1 and 2 away.
- edge is almost done tileing (is that even a waord?), mis 7 or so blocks
- everywhere the tiles have been placed i have restored first and second ring
- need to build more furnace to speed up tile production, current number: 2, desired number: 4-5
- need to build chest near warp points so other people can donate resources for the great El Heffe

Yeah, this happened to me too last night. I think the warp is "shelter". It refers to some co-ordinates that were part of a different map entirely so the server gets confused and just throws you into the void. I actually tried to get rid of that warp after it happened but couldn't remember the command. If you get a chance you should go into warps.txt and remove the following: "shelter", "BeanSecret", "test" and "Gavwarn".
