The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Friend had me try Eternal Darkness on the Gamecube. At first I was worried I wouldn't like it because horror movies/games never appeal to me. I don't like feeling stressed.

Fortunately it was much more of an adventure game with some creep and trippy effects going on, but they were pretty enjoyable. It also weaved events in history which was awesome. Until they killed Charlemagne. You do NOT do that shit when a History major is playing :rage:

Eternal Darkness

Yeahhhh. I kinda want to play through that game again to see if it still holds up at all. Loved it when I was younger.

While the article's content is horrifying, the comments take the cake. My God.. some people really worry me. I'm glad I'm on a forum that isn't back asswards.

It was better when some whiner whined to the news about /b/ being an Internet Hate Machine or whatever and then 4chan sent like 2,000 pizzas to the Fox News studio.

Also the sound didn't work for that video so I couldn't get the whole story but just from the description, I feel confident in my opinion.

This is not the greatest signature in the world. No, this is just a tribute...

Couldn't remember the greatest signature in the world. Yeeaaah, NO! This is a tribuuute! Ohhhhh. To the greatest signature in the world! All right! It was the greatest signature in the world all right.

And the peculiar thing is this, my friends. The signature I made on that fateful night didn't actually look anything like this signature! This is just a tribute. You've gotta believe me, and I wish you were there. Just a matter of opinion. Ah, fuck! Good God, God lovin'. So surprised to find you can't stop it. All right! All right.

I recently bought an X-Box controller for use on my gaming PC. Yes, appreciate the irony.

So far it works great with Assassin's Creed 2. Brilliantly great, in fact.

I tried playing playing it with Oblivion, with it, but no dice. It was ICKY! Though, that may be because Oblivion, for some reason, doesn't have native controller support and I had to use an external utility (XPadder). I just couldn't aim with my bow and arrow, and that's just unacceptable. I'm going to give Borderlands or one of the Fallouts a go to see how well they handle controller support, but I highly, highly suspect that I'll have to stick with the mouse and keyboard for first person games. As it should be.

If you're wondering, my inspirations for getting this were AC 2 and Super Meat Boy. Though I do have a couple of other piss-poor console ports that may benefit from the controller, namely Saints Row 2 and Bully.

I like playing games with my controller. I liked playing New Vegas and Portal 2 with it. In fact I probably would have stopped playing New Vegas a lot sooner without it. However, this is mainly because I don't have a keyboard/mouse for my laptop and I honestly don't care much for using a mouse and keyboard for anything but RTS (which probably has to do with the fact I don't use hot keys and probably never will).

I don't think my silenced-sniper rifle totin', headshot making stealth character from New Vegas would work as well with a controller... I may try it, though, but just for kicks.

Random thought I just had:

Do video game pirates ever complain when a video game has a broken economy?

what is the context of that i don't even.

it's probably a matter of being used to it, but i found playing pc games with a ps3 controller a lot easier than with a 360 controller. the ps3 one contours to my hands better than the 360. it's too square, like the dreamcast controller, unless you're using a 3rd party.
