The previews were of Spencer trying to use Tony's paranoia against him, and Tony saying something about how shocked everyone will be at tribal. More than likely all Survivor Preview Hype.

 

Once again I agree that Tony will win if he makes it to Final 3. But I don't think that's as much of a slam dunk as both of you. I think he has 4 people on his own alliance that don't want him in Final 3 because of his gameplay thus far.

I mean I agree with you but at the same time, they keep forgiving him. "We talked to Tony and he agreed not to do it again." "I don't condemn him for his move, he was paranoid and did what he needed to do."

 

I think Jefra would be willing to get rid of him; she probably went along with it more because her alliance was what she needed to stay true to her game. To switch would have meant sudden death in the game, and even less of a chance on the jury (unless she played it as her one shot to make a move so she took it). But to keep Tony around instead of, say, Trish and Woo? Or Trish and Kass? Yeah I don't see her going along with it - but I also don't see her making it to a position that allows her to call the shots.

 

Trish trusts Tony, and seems honorable enough that she'd take him to the end if they shook on it (note: they haven't). She's already said once before that her ideal final 3 was her, Jefra, and LJ. But LJ's gone so someone needs to fill that spot, and I just don't know who she'd pick to do that. (Honestly? Her best bet is probably Tasha or Woo. Yes Tasha has won challenges but she hasn't made big moves, and Woo's been involved in the alliance but has jumped ship before and could do it again.)

 

Woo has proven that he's willing to jump if it means saving himself. I don't know who he'd take to the end but he sided with Tony once before, and I don't know if I see him as smart enough to realize taking Tony to the end means he has no chance. (Just look at how he scoffed when Spencer was like 'my vote's to Tony'.) So he very well might take Tony, but unless he wins the final immunity I don't see him being in a position to make the call.

 

I'm not sure if Kass would take him or not. She claims she wants to keep the annoying ones but she and Tony have played a similar game. They've both turned on their alliances at least once, they've been part of blindsides. If anything, Kass can play the 'I came from a weakened tribe and put myself into a better position' card vs Tony's 'I was concerned about talk that I dragged LJ into saying in the first place' - but the problem is that no one really knows the story with Tony and LJ yet.

 

Spencer and Tash wouldn't take him; they're not stupid.

 

I think my lack of optimism comes with the fact that Tony just has to stick with his alliance and then play his idol the one time people try to vote for him. And then all he has to do is win one immunity when his idol can no longer be played, and he'll be able to coast his way into the final 3.

Amazing Race

This really is an All Star Season. The teams left just don't make mistakes. I was really scared at first when the Cowboys missed the train. I thought that might be the end of them. Everyone was close, and it's only because of the physical challenge that the Country Singers came in last. 

 

I actually have to give Rachel credit for handling the Accidental Alliance as well as she did. In her last season she would've been crying the entire time about how she didn't have any friends and how the Amazing Race was supposed to be fun. That being said, I'm glad they are all teaming up against Brenchel. I like them the least of the teams remaining, and they did bring it on themselves by U-Turning the oldest guy in the race. I thought it was ironic that Brendon was talking about Karma.

 

I'm really glad that Dave and Connor won the leg and they did it by being patient and finding the right spot instead of just running aimlessly like the other 2 teams. We are getting so close to the final, and I just really hope that the Cowboys and Dave and Connor make it to Final 3. At this point I would prefer the Afghanimals make it too. They have been so nice this time around, and when they aren't lying I actually like them a lot. They seem to always look around and enjoy where they are, or interact with the people around them.

 

 

Oh, and the Survivor Commercial during Amazing Race!

I watched it and it hinted toward a possible all girl alliance and a possible vote toward Tony. If this happens it could be the best thing for Spencer, because it:

 

A.) Flush's Tony's idol

B.) Direct's all the attention toward Tony and the girls

C.) Finally gives him some allies in Tony and Woo. I've been kind of hoping Woo and Spencer team up all along. If they do, it won't be a very firm alliance. Spencer seems to still hate Woo for stealing his clue.

I'm glad that Dave and Connor came in first as well. :) Loved Jet's comment about "Hope my wife doesn't see me doing this; she might think I can actually do it!" And I agree that I'm enjoying how the teams are tagteaming against Brenchel to a degree (though they're laying it on a bit thick), but at the same time, I don't really want to see the Blondes last longer than them. I may like Brenchel less but at least they're running their own race - I think the Blondes have had help of some sort every single episode. 

 

I want to see Dave/Connor, The Cowboys, and The Afghanimals as my top 3. I'd like the Blondes to go home next week, and Brenchel, the week after that. But I'll take 4th and 5th vice versa if need be. I'll be amused to see who the Afghanimals decide to U-turn next ep, and who else ends up U-turned because of it (since I think it's a Double?).

 

Survivor Promo

I'm really hoping they flush Tony's idol this coming episode. I just want it gone. The promo is playing up the stupid thing and I just hate it so much - damn right it's a game-changer, but not for the right way at all. I like the idea of an all-girls alliance because it'll show that people are beginning to question the Top 5. But they have to go through with it because Tony's got the thing and if they go through with the vote, he won't play the idol - though it'd be funny if they try and think their blindside succeeded since he wouldn't play it before the votes. 

 

I just want to see Spencer stay in the game at this point so I don't really care who he teams up with. But I agree that an all-girls alliance would be good for him because even if Tony doesn't go home because of the possible blindside, it'll still get one of the girls out (maybe Jefra, but it'll depend on who "she" is who's gunning for Tony) and then maybe Spencer will be closer to having numbers on his side again. Especially since for this vote, Tony won't need the numbers - he can say "let them think they're succeeding", then play his idol and have the 3 boys pick someone to vote out (though he'll have to tell them about his idol, evne if he doesn't mention the special powers).

Should be an interesting episode regardless of how much smoke and mirror the Survivor promo was.

Also, I totally agree with your comment about the Country Singers on Amazing Race. They would've been gone a long time ago without help. I just want Brenchel out for sure, so as you said, both of those teams can go at any time.

Well I'm glad that Spencer lives to fight another day. Jefra was likeable and nice but she didn't really deserve to go any farther.

Kass has just seemed petty and threatened by Spencer lately. Looks like she is just being ornery in the previews too. She needs to go asap, but I have a feeling Tasha will go next if she doesn't win immunity. Tony has 2 idols and one of those has special powers? He is going to decide who goes to final four. I can't see how any plan next week to "blindside" him would work, even if he didn't have the special idol.

Fantastic season so far and it has mainly been because of Tony and Spencer. Spencer just keeps manipulating people and staying alive and Tony just keeps blindsiding people. Can't wait for next week.

Oh! I forgot to post after watching the episode! I've been crazy busy, so it slipped my mind. Time to see what I remember wanting to say.

I'mma just start off by saying HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF that Spencer didn't go home last night. Mom and I both agreed that we wouldn't have wanted to keep watching if he was gone. 

 

Next, I am SO MAD AT TASHA for not joining in on the advantage. Jeff said nothing about it being an advantage in the challenge - holding out for an immunity idol? Seriously? He's not about to announce that. I did like how they did the bidding for that, though, considering how in the past it's just been a race to see who says it first. I kept hoping that it would have been under one of the closed containers because that would have been hilarious. And now Tony has two idols and have I mentioned yet that he is 110% set for the final 3 at this point unless people get really really smart? There's always a chance that he'll make it to final 4 and then not be taken along, but with my luck that's the one challenge he'll win.

 

I'd say the only way to flush both his idols at the same time would be if he gave his up to someone and then used the special one when he saw he was being blindsided. But that'll never happen. They could flush at least the one if they go after him and he plays it but they actually vote for Kass or something. I just want him to not have two idols.

 

I'm glad that Tasha won immunity and not Woo. And I'm even more glad that Tony is paranoid as hell (though I do agree with my mom; out of all the tales that could be spun, an all-girls' alliance was definitely the most likely). I enjoyed how both Tasha and Spencer were aiming to make Tony think twice. They know exactly where the biggest crack is.

 

Tony pisses me off like hell but this past episode at least, I could see the slim advantage of him sticking around (since we're stuck with him, might as well make the best of it, eh?)

 

I agree that Kass has seemed to be gunning for Spencer more and more lately. I suppose she knows he's the biggest threat to her game-plan, but even so. I see zero possibility of the two of them getting back on the same alliance no matter how things go down.

I was impressed by the sheer idiocy of Tony in this past episode.

 

I mean, I understand the whole paranoia with "hey, four girls, two guys? Yeah, we're fucked." But come on. You have TWO FUCKING IDOLS.

 

On top of that, once you vote out Spencer and Tasha, they've basically gone on the record as voting for you in the finals.

 

Meaning all you have to do is not vote yourself out, and you basically win.

 

But instead, he gives Spencer (and by extension Tasha) new life, yet again (which either speaks to Tony's stupidity, or Spencer's intelligence)

 

I didn't have many thoughts about this week's episode, it was rather meh, compared to others.

 

I did giggle at Trish paying 80 dollars for Popcorn, candy, and soda.

 

And Woo's expression at winning the ribs and the beer? Shit. Moment of the episode right there.

 

So glad Spencer is still alive, but sad it was Jefra, and not Trish or Kass that went.

 

Hopefully next week, everyone tries to vote Tony, an idol is flushed out, and they end up voting for Kass or Trish because screw them.

Tony is "smart" for getting rid of people who are prepared to go after him, but at the same time, I just cannot understand how people like Trish just accept it and move on. He's done it how many times? How can you trust someone like that? I just don't get it.

 

Loving how all the girls are awake but pretending to sleep. It's true that she misheard, but I'm pretty okay with her and Tony getting at each other now because I wouldn't mind either going home (preferably Tony but we know he can't go home tonight because of that idol).

 

"You're going home because I got a special idol." I love how Kass doesn't believe him. I really am over Tony running the show though.

 

Survivor Ambassador event! Always my favorite. At least the heavy hitters are dispersed this time but it's amusing how people aren't throwing hard enough to knock things down. And that's cool how the faster you got done, the more pieces you had left in your own puzzle. Spencer vs. Tasha! (Guys, seriously, stop cheating off each other.) At least Kass knows what she's doing for puzzles.  Yay!! I'm sorry that Tasha and Trish didn't win but I really didn't want Tony to get it, so sorry, Tony's team.

 

(…Am I the only one seeing previews for Amazing Race during this episode, but they’re previewing the beginning of the series? Haha weird.)

 

Woo is pretty awesome here with the kids! And then there’s Spencer. XD  “It was overwhelming, having all these little monsters around.” Though, Kass is being very assumptive here Woo shooting for Tony. And she’s being very oblivious to Woo’s discomfort. I think his actual decision will come down to who wins immunity, but I’m hoping he doesn’t go back on his promise of silence the second Tony asks what strategy went down.

 

One great thing about Woo’s monotone is that it’s hard to tell he’s not lying. But considering Tony’s reading it anyway (since makes no sense to have not even brought up Tony’s name) Woo should have said something else. Maybe one of them suggested Tony but Kass “really doesn’t think he has it” or something, but Woo or someone else convinced them to go Tasha anyway. They should have discussed what to say to Tony a bit more.

 

Oo a numbers challenge. I enjoy watching these as well! Excellent challenges this episode. I imagine counting live crabs would be difficult because once they move, you don’t know if you’ve counted twice. Dramatic fast-fowardingggg.

 

YEAHHHHH SPENCER! It would have been cool to see Tasha reach the record number of wins, but I really wanted Spencer to be safe. So yay!

 

Tasha should not be “laying down to die”. First off, she’s terrible at it, and second, she should be pushing for Kass. Tony’s got two idols. One of them, he can only play tonight or tomorrow. Isn’t the same for the second one? If that’s the case, he might as well use the regular one tonight and keep the special one that no one thinks he has for next week.

 

Kass what are you doing. Tony might be a douche but unlike Russell, he’s played a really good game alongside that douchebaggery.

 

“Why would they want to flush the idol if we were on the same side?” Um, because they’re also playing the game? And you having one, maybe two idols, at this point in the game makes you a huge threat? If you have an idol at the final 6, there is absolutely no way you’re using it on anyone but yourself.

 

I kind of like how everyone is subtly continuing to remind the jury that Tony’s an ass.  Now it’s more a matter of which idol Tony plays – looks like it’s gonna be the special one if the votes go his way. I like that way better than him playing his regular one. The only issue is, now that the votes are split, Tasha only needs three votes to get out…Dammit all.

 

Just waiting to see how the other votes went, more out of curiosity than anything. But Tony has two idols now, and one has to be played next week. If both need to be played, that means he can confidently give it to someone he wants to keep around.

 

Ahh. So Kass and Woo went for Tasha after all. Should have realized that considering Jeff would have read them otherwise. Bad move, Kass. But, oh well. Nothing we can do about that now.

 

I could watch the next episode but it's after midnight and I'm tired. So I'll end this here, hopefully get caught up on Amazing Race tomorrow night or Sunday, and be prepared for the (finale?)

I meant to write this two days ago, when I watched the episode, so bear with me if I forget something.

 

My first reaction - Holy shit, it's down to the Final 5. Kass, Trish, Spencer, Woo, and Tony. Three people I've enjoyed watching, and two I haven't. Tonight, the hope is that A) Spencer wins immunity, otherwise he's fucked. B) Tony is stupid and uses both idols somehow. C) One of Trish/Kass go home. 

 

With that said, the episode got off to a good start.

 

Tony trying to get both Kass and Woo with him is a smart move, but it was even smarter (though I hate to admit it) of Kass to double cross him instantly and tell Woo about the secret arrangement. This could open up Woo to do the big move he's been thinking about the past couple episodes. Also, gives Kass a redeeming quality, which could actually keep Spencer safe, which is all I really want. 

 

Love Tony flipping out on Kass and basically burning that bridge in one fell swoop, Tony's allies have died by the day. To open the episode, he basically had Trish and Woo in his back pocket, and Kass as an emergency backup against Spencer, who is Tony's biggest threat when it comes to winning the game. But after this, the only ally he can rely on is Trish. Woo no longer trusts him all that much, and Kass definitely would get rid of him if she could. Tony may find himself relying on Spencer, who is smart enough to not be blindsided by Tony.

 

Next you have an interesting reward challenge. Yes, go dive into that mud, and bring it back to the bucket. Pains me to say it, but it was obvious from the first trip out who was winning here, only Tony really had a good strategy. Woo, Kass, and Trish all decided to jump in headfirst to get mud all over their bodies, and spent all day letting it harden on to them, whereas Tony just loaded up his arms (which is the least hairy part of most people's exposed bodies, as well as being the one that is easiest to brush things off) and went at it.

 

By the end of the challenge, it's not even close, and Tony wins the pizza. Shame.

 

But, I have to say, I'm proud of Tony choosing Trish to join him in the feast, because she desperately needs the food. She really needs it so much more than anyone. I hate her, and she's annoying, but honestly, she looks like she's about ready to drop dead. That pizza is going to help so much.

 

Time to eat pizza! IT IS BEING DELIVERED BY HELICOPTER OH MY GOD

 

Tony is a fucking pig. I wanted to throw up watching him eat, and I'm a really fast eater myself, it's practically coming out of his ears. Trish has to be famished, but she's being much more polite and showing much more etiquette.

 

Goddamn, hungry Tony?

 

I can't wait to see how all this talk at camp goes, but it definitely feels like Spencer still needs to win Immunity. If he doesn't, he's out.

 

And it's Immunity time. Nervous. Oh my god, this challenge is epic, and I could see anyone but Trish winning it (but she's probably safe anyway, because really, who is going to vote for her in the Final Three on the jury?)

 

And... Tony is off to a big lead. He's basically finished with the rope untying instantly. By the time anyone else even catches up, he's done with building the ladder up.

 

Spencer is falling behind, he's going to need to pull off a massive comeback, and I'm not 100% sure he can do it. He looks tired, and exhausted. This will be a test for sure. 

 

Tony is already working on the slide puzzle and... he doesn't know what the fuck he's doing. Shit, he didn't even look at the puzzle and just started sliding things. Spencer may have a chance yet.

 

And as luck would have it, Spencer seems revitalized, he's catching up to Tony, and will soon be able to start working on the puzzle.

 

Holy shit Tony, you really suck at this puzzle.

 

Spencer is up and ready to solve the puzzle. As expected, the chess champion takes a minute to study the puzzle, and is probably done with the puzzle by the time he starts moving his hands.

 

Holy shit, is he really going to do it? My heart rate is the highest it has been all season.

 

OH MY FUCKING GOD HE DID IT

 

And oh my god is it beautiful, even I shouted "YES" right there with Spencer. He pulled off one of the greatest comebacks I've ever seen, and he absolutely needed it to stay in the game. That's the definition of much in the clutch.

 

Spencer is so elated, and I can practically feel Jeff thinking "Wow, I didn't think that of all things would happen."

 

One thing, as an aside, Jeff is really good at containing his emotions. That's to be expected, but man, how could he not be pumped and screaming (more than his usual shouting to make sure everyone can hear him) for Spencer's win?

 

Spencer solved that puzzle faster than most people could have blinked. I mean, I'm good at slide puzzles (at least better than Tony) but I'm not THAT good at them.

 

Oh well, on the way back to camp. So obviously, Tony and Spencer are safe. I doubt Spencer or Tony pull off a power play to get rid of Woo... so that leaves the banshee Trish, or the narcissistic asshole Kass. Personally, I'm hoping for Trish I think. It'd be unlikely, since Woo would have to flip, but with the seeds planted earlier, it's much more likely than it was earlier. Kass is obviously voting for her, and Spencer will go along with whatever doesn't get him voted out (and he has immunity besides) so the smart move is definitely to get rid of Trish here.

 

So it's all going to come down to Woo, probably.

 

Tribal Council, and oh my god, this is so fucking hilarious. Even Jeff looks like he's having trouble holding back laughter. One of these days, he's going to lose it. This is a dysfunctional family, and Woo put it best. You have the Father Tony, the Mother Trish, the siblings with a rivalry between Kass and Spencer, and then Woo, the funky foreign exchange student who is like "what the fuck is going on".

 

The more I watch this season, the more I realize that as long as Trish doesn't win, I really don't care who wins anymore. That's not a bad thing. I legitimately like the people in the final 5 mostly (I don't like Kass, but wouldn't be pissed if she won, only disappointed) as players, even though as people, Kass, Trish, and Tony are all annoying. 

 

I'm really pulling for Spencer, with Woo being my backup, because oh man, how can you not like Woo, he's just so fun.

 

The votes are coming in, and holy shit. Did I read that right? I know, Trish was voted out, but in the credits when the votes are showed, it said that Tony voted for Trish? TONY? Tony voted out his only REAL ally?

 

What sense does THAT make?

 

Sure, you can argue that Trish is likely voting for Tony should he make the final three... but... she's kind of crucial if he wants to make the final three. Correct me if I'm wrong, but because he used the weaker idol, he can't use the stronger idol, because there are 4 people left? Or did I flip the rules around?

 

Now, Spencer, Woo, and Kass, could essentially knock him out right? If he manages to get rid of Kass somehow, he could get whoever wins immunity (Spencer or Woo, because I doubt Tony or Trish would win) to vote with him to get the person who didn't win out. Now, no matter who wins immunity between Kass, Woo, and Spencer, if Tony doesn't win immunity, he's no longer invincible.

 

Well, it happens.

 

Spencer is definitely my pick to win this season. I don't think the show is "fixed", but I do think there's a certain level of staging, and while Spencer is the most intelligent person playing 99% of the time, he's also a strong challenge beast. You can't mean to tell me that he once lost a challenge and wasn't instantly voted out. There's just too many people who would be gunning for him. He's misplayed an idol, but so has pretty much everyone else.

 

I think the Final Three is going to end up being Spencer, Tony, and Kass (which is a good one) but my preferred Final Three would be Spencer, Tony, and Woo. Each of them embodies a big part of the game. Outwit, Outlast, Outplay. Not neccesarilly respectively, but you get the idea. All three have played an incredible game, and any of those three would make a fantastic season winner (as big of a dick that Tony is.)

 

This season has been great, and has rekindled my interest in Survivor, so that's all I can really ask for. I'm glad that Spencer has stayed so long, because if he didn't I doubt I'd have been as into this season. He's definitely one of my top 5 favorites in the history of the game, and potentially my favorite (I only saw a handful of seasons though).

 

No matter what happens in the final episode, I can safely say that I'll likely be happy with the result, traditionally, I've always liked the last episode and the reunion shows, though I don't know if anything has changed in recent years. I'll find out Wednesday, as no matter what, I'm watching it live (I usually watch it the next morning because of baseball)

 

EDIT - "potential" thoughts, that I fear will be confirmed... I haven't heard it confirmed, but well...

Remember when Lindsey quit the game?

 

Well, obviously that was unplanned.

 

As a result of her quitting, there's one less player, right?

 

Well, this next episode is the last one and there will only be 4 instead of 5...

 

I am beginning to think that the original plan WAS a Final Three. But with her quitting, the show finale is now going to be a Final Two. This popped up in my head because the next episode is a two hour one. If there's only going to be a Final Three, then you've got to dick around a lot and fill the hell out of the episode, because there is enough time for two challenges and two eliminations.

 

This really upsets me if it's the case, because Spencer's chances of winning just got way worse, as he'll almost certainly have to win TWO straight challenges to make it to the end.

 

He's already won two, I'm not positive, but I think that'd tie the record, since two more would put him at 4, right? Or was there a streak of 5 that I'm not aware of?

 

So basically, he'd have to tie the record for straight immunity wins to win the game (or have a chance at it, if Tony/Woo/Kass are smart, they know Spencer would get a lot of votes)

 

Again, only thoughts, nothing confirmed, but there's evidence to potentially support it.

Legacy, there's no way they'll do a final 2 again, so don't worry. It was proven that final 3 works infinitely better and the viewers prefer it. The finale's always 2 hours - the first hour will be getting the final 4 down to a final 3, and the second hour will include the final 3 celebrating, making the long journey to tribal, the jury getting to interrogate them, and Jeff making his fancy run to the finale location. =) (Plus, people have quit before. They got it all sorted out when they merged the tribes earlier than intended.)

 

I have one main thought about the latest episode (5/14):

YAAAY SPENCERRRR!

 

I’d been confused at first as to why Tony played his regular idol and not his special one, but mom pointed out that both idols cannot be used after this vote. No one knows what the idol can do, and Tony’s goal is to convince them that its power is being able to be used next week.

 

I was talking with mom and while we both agree that all members of the final 4 deserve to be there because they’ve played strong games, I can honestly say I only like two of the games that have been played to this point.

 

Kass has played a very strong, strategic game, but I really don’t like her attitude that has gone alongside it. I also don’t think she has any shot at winning because of the number of enemies her attitude has made her, coupled with her lack of ability in the challenges.  In fact, of the four remaining, I’d almost say she has the smallest chance of winning out of all of them. (Especially when everyone saw her unnecessarily flip Trish the bird as she was voted out.)

 

Tony has played a strong, blunt game (you cross me, I have enough power to get you out) but I hate his attitude as well. His balance between being smart and being an ass has deteriorated rapidly over the past few episodes.  He could still win if he makes final 3; he has at least a few allies on the jury (especially Trish) and if people can look past the ass he’s been an admit he’s played a strong game, he definitely has a good chance.

 

Woo’s played a strong social game. He’s said it himself, he hasn’t made enemies with the jury. I think his problem is that he hasn’t played a strong enough strategic game to go along with his personality, especially when it seems that the only time his personality came through was during that one reward challenge. And if that’s the case, I don’t think players are as enamored with him as the viewers. He probably has a better chance than Kass but definitely not a better one than Tony or Spencer. So I really don’t see Woo winning.

 

Aaand Spencer.  Spencer can win if he makes it to the final 3, but I don’t want to jinx it too badly so I’m not going to make any definites. He’s played a strong game overall, from challenges to social to strategic. I think my favorite moment of this episode was Dave and Leo singing opera together.

"It was kind of depressing for me to see Connor, who hasn't gone through puberty, who doesn't have any kind of facial hair on his face, get it done before me - who has more hair on my face than he has on his hair."

 

This bull challenge looks extremely painful. The tagline of the ep said that one team suffers a terrible injury; I would not be surprised if it was due to this challenge. (Haha Connor going “I’m coming, don’t be a hero!”) Everyone is running with the bulls! (Okay, almost everyone. But I’m soo not surprised the Cowboys are doing it, haha.) Aaand there’s the injury. Oh no! D: (Rachel, stop whining about being a girl!)

 

The blondes are so confident about the U-turn because everyone’s agreed to go after the Brenchels, but it’s a double U-turn. Someone else is going down with them. (I really like the angle that the camera got at the U-turn of the Afghanimals.) – except, the Cowboys got there last, so there’s no one behind them.

 

Ughh of course the Cowboys missed it. Of course. I was just about to congratulate everyone on not missing the quotes. And of course they’ve been U-turned to go with it.

 

I probably would have gone for the dancing one just because remembering choreography is my strong suit. …Though the hip swaying, not as much. Haha.

 

I’m so glad Dave and Connor came in first! =) And, oh hay, Brenchels came in before the Afghanimals somehow! And…I already saw some of the teams in a preview so I figured out who came in last. So sad. ): I love the Cowboys. I think Phil’s disappointed that they’re gone, too.

 

At least we got to end the episode with the Cowboys riding a horse into the sunset. That’s the best way to go.

So sad that the Afghanimals went home but at least they went out on their own volition and not just because someone U-turned them. 

 

I laughed so hard when Brenchel did the entire challenge using the wrong boot.

YAAAAAY DAVE AND CONNOR! 

 

That was kind of all levels of epic, that final road block to the finish line. I really enjoyed the suspense that came with it. Actually- I liked all of the challenges this episode! The magic trick was beyond cool (poor Dave, he was terrified for Connor) and lighting up the hotel sign was at least a challenge that took a while. It was interesting that they didn't do any sort of final memory challenge but the human rocket down to the ground did make up for it, in its own way. So pleased that the Brenchels came in third (I laughed when Phil was like "we have no idea if it's Dave or Caroline coming down now" aka Brendan was so far behind there was no way it'd be him). And it was so close, too! The fact that we saw two rockets in the sky meant they really had just been minutes apart.

FINALE TONIGHT

 

To celebrate, I went to the CBSstore (they are having a sale, 25% off for Survivor related items, promo code is FINALE25, I think?) and became a sucker for the first time in a long time.

 

I spent about 17 dollars (plus shipping) on a piece of cloth.

Woww very nice! I've always considered doing something like that but I've yet to like a season/tribe enough to want to actually buy one. I've been tempted to go on after the season ends to the ebay sale before though.

 

I'm excited to get to watch the finale tonight! (Though I'll confess even I'm starting to get a little nervous about the idea of Final 2. Too many people are whispering about it.)

Well I mean, this hasn't been the "best" season, but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. It recaptured my attention for the first time in about 20 seasons, so it's pretty monumental. That's my justification for this purchase (although again, the buff better be of high quality. Ridiculous price!)

 

Yeah, the final two whispers are getting louder, and I just have this shit feeling about it.

 

Most of my predictions have been way off base, so I'm due, aren't I?

At least you're supporting the show? :p And I can see what you mean. I just know no season has managed to live up to my favorite (Guatemala). 

I just can't understand why they'd consider a final 2 again. It was a sucky idea when they first did it, and it remained a sucky idea until they finally switched to final 3. 

 

Though if it does end up Final 2 I hope it's Spencer vs Tony because of the final four, they're the ones who deserve it most.

Not even mad Tony won. It wasn't Kass, so I can't be "too" upset.

 

Obviously I (and everyone in the world) was rooting for Spencer, but the odds were too insurmountable. I hope he's on the next All Stars season, because he's so much fun to watch. He pretty much singlehandedly renewed my interest in the game. (And CBS can thank him for the sale of one buff, the con artists!)

 

But back to Tony, I hate him as a person, and the fact he was willing to swear on his dead father pisses me off ore than everything ever, but Spencer made a lot of incredible points.

 

He's definitely the 2nd most deserving person this season (behind Spencer) so I can't really complain that Spencer campaigned for him.

 

Honestly, if Spencer doesn't say those things, I think Woo is your winner.

 

My one complaint with this season is there were too many fucking idols. Credit to Tony for finagling his way into so many, but they dilute the game so badly. I feel like there hasn't been a season in like, ever with so many idols, but then again, I haven't watched in a LONG time.

 

Time for the reunion special.
