You know, when my On Demand preview said that someone else was swapping out their reward, I thought for sure it would be Jon giving it back to Natalie. I was right that his team won, but I was pleasantly surprised to see Reed swap for Missy - it was a great move on his part. I still might not like his underhanded sneaking in bags, but I'm fine seeing him stick around. The best part is that his 'alliance of four' with Wes and Keith could actually be at least five, since Natalie wants to blindside Jon too.

 

I never thought I'd be excited to see Natalie find an immunity idol. (Also, it shows so bad that there's nothing on exile now that Jon's got the idol - they didn't even show Wes get there.

 

Yaaay more endurance challenges...

I'd definitely not step down for candy. If you're gonna step down, it's gotta be for something nourishing. But I love how they're all jumping down for food (Wes was hilarious, I'll admit.)

(I wonder what would happen if someone was allergic and got stung by that wasp.)

 

I hope Reed wins- hahaha! Love! Jeff, you are absolutely hilarious. ("Okay guys, she wants pizza, wings, one cookie, and a glass of water. Throw in a beer for the heck of it.")

 

"Stick to the plan." Oh, Keith. Why did you say that? I mean, it made for an entertaining next minute, but even so. I feel like this means Wes is going home, though. I'm really, really glad he let Keith play it. I'd rather have Keith in the game than his son - pretty sure Keith wants this way more than Wes. 

 

And to think, if he just hadn't said anything, Jon wouldn't have played it (maybe), and he would have gone home. Look what happens. (It would have been kind of hilarious if the votes had all been for Jon or Keith...I wonder what would have happened then.)

 

The whole two hour thing might be because of Julie quitting? Maybe they need to make up for an episode for...some reason. That, or maybe there's enough going on to warrant two hours of footage?

 

I completely agree that Jon's been skating by. He's around because Jacquelyn is there as well, so they had two votes. They were in the middle the whole time - not because they were good players, or strong, but because people figured they'd be easier to sway than the other couples. I'm really sad that Natalie convinced him to play the idol, but I guess it makes sense since she's still technically in his alliance. Because of that move, he'll trust her next week. And the week after that if they gang up on Reed.

I imagine that if all the votes had been for Keith/Jon, Jeff would have just forced a re-vote where you couldn't vote for either one.

 

Right now, I'm inclined to believe next week is going to be an insanely action packed week, which is why they'll need two hours as opposed to one.

 

I really don't like how it looks for Reed yet, but a lot can happen in two hours.

Oh I know, that's exactly what would have happened. I'm just interested in who people would have voted for, since Reed's 'alliance' (that round) had more votes for Jon than there were for Keith.

OK, now I get why they did a double episode. This entire first hour was garbage. Seriously, that reward challenge was a farce, and I usually look forward to the trivia challenge.

 

Of course Jon got the new idol. Of course he did.

Wow. Back to back hours of shit. Fuck Jon, I'm hating him more and more each week.

OF COURSE JON WON IMMUNITY WHEN HE NEEDED IT. OF COURSE HE DID.

 

Bye Alec. It's too bad, you were this close to surviving.

 

Why didn't anyone think to take out Jaclyn? If the goal is to get rid of Jon, wouldn't getting rid of his closest ally make sense right about now? If you don't act now, you end up with a final 6 of Jon/Jaclyn/Missy/Baylor which seems rather rock solid... That leaves pretty much everyone else on the outside looking in. Instead, you decide to turn on each other...?

 

If you take out Jaclyn, which you totally could have swung, you end up with Jon/Missy/Baylor, and it's suddenly not so solid of an alliance.

 

But whatever, this is why I'm not on Survivor.

 

So now, our final six is Jon (ugh), Jaclyn (I'm liking her more and more each week, because she's legitimately trying to make moves, but keeps getting talked out of it by her boyfriend), Keith (who has been the surprise of the season), Natalie (who I'm indifferent on at this point, but has played the strongest game of the people left), Missy (who looks like she could quit any day now. Just don't quit. I hate quitters, and we already had ONE this season), and Baylor (who is sneakily becoming my favorite person left, simply by process of elimination).

 

I can't say I'm pleased with this group. There's not one person I legitimately want to win this game left. Maybe Keith, but his mistakes, tentativeness, and survival have cost me Josh, Wes, Reed, and Alec, who were probably four of my favorite post merge players.

 

I'm pulling for him or Baylor, but honestly as long as Jon doesn't win, I can't really say I even care anymore. It's been kind of a dud of a season, as far as I'm concerned. Rather disappointed, especially after Cagayan pulled me back in to the fold.

 

Also, I found out how to watch every episode of Survivor!

I'm glad Jeff called a stop to that challenge. It was clear from the beginning that it wasn't going to be a 'challenge' at all. Also, Jacquelyn complaining that she was left behind? Really? Has Natalie even been on a reward? She sacrificed the last time she earned one to let someone - oh right. Jacquelyn. go instead. Now it's her turn. "How dare they pick someone other than me? Jon stepped up and volunteered to go to exile. It's only fair." Whine whine whine.

 

But I'm totally okay with the idea of Jon and Jac going home any time, so I don't mind them "being in the bottom". 

Aaand of course, Jon gets himself another idol. Did no one seriously think about his "volunteering" to go to exile? Natalie, I thought you didn't want him around much longer. I see you changed your mind in favor of horseback riding.

 

You're in the middle for one more vote. Then neither side will need you... Actually, wait. Two more votes. Then your 'alliance' can get rid of you. But it's a double-edged sword because whoever uses Jon/Jac to get ahead is going to make a lot of enemies along the way...and then two more enemies when they turn on the lovebirds. 

 

Also, rolling my eyes at the whole Jacquelyn/Alec thing. 

 

Oh hey, I remember this challenge. And I am beyond surprised (and slightly impressed) that Keith pulled it off! 

 

"All I wanted to do was spend time with her." Um, Jon, it's a game. You're inside a game.  (Also, I love/hate how we knew nothing of Jon and Jac in the first few episodes, but now every ep is about them.

 

Okay. Wow. So, I'm not surprised Reed went home tonight. But I'm really interested in the fact that everyone but Reed voted for Reed. Including his alliance. When did they come up with that idea? Why didn't we get to see it discussed? It's a smart move, but I'd still love to know whose idea it was.

2nd hour summary

GF and I spent the second half of this second part of the episode ranting at the tv about how no one was thinking to target Jacquelyn. I get that you want to "blindside" Jon as revenge, but you know what the most revenge is? Getting rid of the person who can actually think for the pair of you. If you get rid of Jon, Jac is still a halfway decent strategizer. Get rid of Jac first, and Jon is left floundering. Plus, no matter what Missy thinks, Baylor seems more inclined to go with Natalie. 

 

Aaaaand of course, we see the dreaded Injury Dilemma in the previews for next week. Hopefully the dramatic flair means it's not as bad as it seems, but I swear, if Jon ends up winning/getting to the end because of an injury and a lack of moves beforehand, I'm going to be so angry. 

 

I find myself actually liking Natalie. She's aiming for big moves and actually playing the game stronger than I thought she would. (I feel like my main hatred for her actually lies with when she and her sister are together.)

 

As for who I'd want to see win...Honestly? Probably Natalie, out of this group. I like Keith, but he's made a lot of stupid mistakes that probably mean he'll be going home soon (since people are stupid and seem to be forgetting that once he goes, it'd be an all out war between the two couples, with Natalie in the middle). I hate Jon and don't want him near the winner's circle. Likewise, if Jacquelyn wins I feel like Jon will try to take credit anyway. I definitely don't care about Missy, and I don't like Baylor much either (though she's gotten way better). Natalie's at least playing a strong game with moves (even if she keeps changing her mind at the last second). No one else is really doing anything 'big', they're just sticking with the plan.

 

(That CBS All Access thing is pretty cool! What seasons did you already get to watch last time you binged?)

12/10/14 Survivor

I'm really looking forward to this episode, there's absolutely no way it results in Missy leaving the game, that'd just be too obvious. My grandmother disagrees and is trash talking Missy, mocking her voice and crying. It's actually kind of annoying. I don't like Missy, but give her credit, she's still out there and fighting.

 

Oh no, Missy twisted her ankle or something during reward... but they still win anyways! Holy shit!

 

Oh my god, Jon, you are a moron. You gave up your spot on the reward for Baylor. This is stupid on so many levels. For one, it leads to Keith, the most dangerous threat to you in challenges and potentially your alliance, being alone with a FAMILY of Baylor and Missy.

 

Not only that, but your obvious ploy to go back to Exile was thwarted by Natalie, which leads to Jon and Jaclyn sitting alone together, waiting for the reward challenge people to get back.

 

Essentially, Missy/Baylor/Keith are in perfect position to make a move, Natalie wants you gone, and there's nothing you can do but hope you win Immunity.

 

Keith is hilarious at the spa. Totally worth watching him get a massage.

 

Now, to see what to do about Missy's ankle/foot...

 

Oh my, I don't think I've ever seen this happen. She's going to stay in the game with a cast? That will make challenges impossible, and not very entertaining, but she gets massive respect from me for choosing to stay in the game. She is probably the toughest person out there. Except maybe Keith. Keith is pretty tough too.

 

Immunity, and it's obvious Baylor is going to be too distracted to do well, Jaclyn will probably be out soon too. So it'll be down to Jon, Natalie, and Keith.

 

Go Keith or Natalie.

Jon looks like an idiot with how he's leaning in, putting all your weight forward like that makes it much harder to correct for wind and...

Going into Tribal, honestly, I thought it was obvious one of Jon/Jaclyn was gonna go. It depended on whether or not Jon played his idol. He didn't. As soon as votes started being read, it became obvious there'd be a tie and re-vote, and Jon was out.

 

There you have it.

 

JON IS FINALLY GONE. ALL MALE JURY. WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SEASON EVEN.

 

Can't wait for the finale next week. This one episode pulled my interest back just in time.

I am sitting here laughing hysterically at how Natalie is fooling Jon and Jacquelyn. She's getting smarter and smarter every tribal...or they're getting dumber.

 

Ughhh injury. On a plus, I thought she had, like, a head injury. On a minus....ughhh injury. At least you can do a puzzle on a busted ankle. Yay, comeback!! Hope that spa treatment works wonders on that ankle. 

 

I enjoyed that. "No no no. It's fine!!" Aka "don't come near me, Jeff, I know what that means!" 

 

Oh hey. Jon's giving up his spot to Baylor! Finally, he pays someone back! (There's a lot of reward-give-ups this season.) I feel like he probably did that because Jacquelyn was whining. (Or at least, that's what confirmed it.) And hahaha of course Nat goes to exile. She doesn't want to be stuck with Jon and Jac time. "Personal spa day." XD 

 

I wonder how Missy felt being carried by her kid.

 

"Strengthened my place in the jury?" No, Jon. You just finally did what others have done for you already.  "I'm definitely going to be bringing that up to the jury." Ummm what. That someone didn't 100% go along with your plan? 

 

"Not going to ruin my day about it." ...I'd at least ask for some ice from the spa people. I'm sure they've got some...As someone who busted an ankle (more than once)...ow. I give you major props for being able to walk on it for so long. I may not like her, but I don't want her to have to quit...I'm glad she doesn't have to be pulled from the game, and it's smart of her to sit out this challenge. (Yeah, she couldn't have done this one on a hurt ankle.)

 

Now that we're down to Natalie and Jon I'm going to assume (hope) that Natalie wins...mostly because it says "biggest blindside of the game" in my preview menu...partially because I really don't want Jon to win again... HA! Yessss! 

 

Hopefully Natalie has enough power to get him out this game. Or Jacquelyn. I'd take either - and with Missy injured, her best interest is to strengthen Baylor's chances - which means getting rid of the other couple now, rather than risking her injury taking her out early and leaving Baylor at the bottom of an alliance.

 

"I'm loyal to a fault and I'm not wavering." That's double-edged there because she was loyal to Baylor before loyal to Jon, so she could argue that if she flips, but on the other hand she promised Jon...

 

Heyyy she went with it! How exciting! Now to see where this part takes us. And since he didn't play his idol, they could really sent home whoever they wanted. (Seriously though, this makes all moves blatantly obvious. There is no hiding in this vote.)

Edit: Concerning all male jury - all depends on who gets the last spot. But I will admit that the phrase "sausage fest" did pop into my head while watching.

 

I'm not sure if I'd rather see Jacquelyn or Missy in the final 3 though. Only because I don't know how I feel about someone in a cast going to the end. My uncertainty lies in how she was only in the cast the last few days.

I'm not going too in depth here, I have other things to do.

 

Basically, from the start, it looks pretty freaking obvious that Natalie is going to win. The only legitimate threat to her is Keith, and with how stupid Missy, Baylor, and Jacqueline have been, his only chance of getting to the Final Three is to win both immunity challenges, which would be insanely remarkable.

 

Yay, Keith won reward, which gives him an advantage in the challenge. I sure hope this time the advantage is useful. 

 

Oh wow. Fuck right off Jeff, this challenge is an absolute nightmare. It's all about patience, balance, and a lot of luck. That paddle is so small, that even the lightest bit of wind could destroy you. Gotta be quick, efficient, and focused.

 

Complete domination, Keith wins.

 

So, it's Natalie, Baylor, Missy, or Jacqueline going home... I'm really hoping it's Natalie, but it's probably Jacqueline or Baylor, I can't imagine they send home Missy, since she's basically a free win in the final three, and can't win challenges...

 

And Natalie plays her idol... on Jacqueline. Please everyone have voted for Natalie, that'd be so amazing...

 

Dammit, they voted out Baylor, who was probably my second favorite left. Go Keith Go.

Wait, where the fuck did Jacqueline come from? What do you mean she's already done with the puzzle? What do you mean she took a hard bump and still somehow remembered the numbers? 

 

Are you kidding? Jacqueline won?

 

Do the smart thing Jacqueline, vote out Natalie. If you keep her, you WILL lose. If you bring Keith to the Final Three, you have a chance, albeit a small one.

 

WHY IS EVERYONE AN IDIOT? Natalie has the strongest case to make to the jury, so why do all three of you vote out Keith, who while a challenge threat, didn't really play the game? That's boneheaded.

 

So, Keith is gone, and I am uninterested in the end result. We have three people I thoroughly dislike in the final three. You can either vote for Missy, who was a prima donna whiner who babied her daughter (but somewhat redeemed herself by playing through a broken foot or whatever it was), Jacqueline, who was one half of the most disgusting alliance this season and caused me to hate PDA more than I already do, or Natalie, who shouldn't have been on this season to begin with (Long story short, I don't think people who played on Amazing Race should get to be on Survivor, or vice-versa. Thousands apply to both shows, and it's completely unfair that two spots went to the twins when they could have given COMPLETELY NEW people their spots).

 

I'm hoping for Jacqueline I guess, because while I hate Jon, and I don't care for her, she could actually use this money to do something special, which is about the only way I can feel satisfied with the result.

 

The questions were wicked tame, and completely expected... until Reed flew off the handle at Missy. I mean damn, I agree man, but that's a hell of a time to be playing that card...

 

And the votes, I'm predicting a blowout for Natalie.

 

And of course it was. Predictable result that I saw the moment Jon got voted out. Very disappointing.

 

It was a good season, but a pretty mediocre finale outside of Jacqueline winning that surprise challenge.

 

I didn't care much for the reunion either. A lot of stuff that I already knew from keeping up with Survivor Live and various twitter feeds, so no new information was shared... I'm sticking around to see the new season...

 

And holy shit I love the idea. It was worth staying up to see it.

 

White Collar v. Blue Collar v. No Collar.

 

This is one I wish I had been able to sign up for honestly, I'd almost certainly profile as a no collar person (I don't mind the idea of work or anything, but I see no point in becoming a blue collar worker, and white collar work is out of my reach. I see blue collar workers as people who do 4x the labor, and get 1/4 as much pay. There's little reward in it, so it'd make no sense for me to do it.)

 

It's one my grandmother and I will clash over a lot, so there are downsides. She's been a blue collar worker all her life.

 

We actually had a small fight upon the reveal of the season, because I let slip how I feel about blue collar work and the people who do it. I'm not shy about expressing my opinions, so I mean, I know I had it coming.

 

Still, very surprising to see what I presume will be a third straight newbie season. And in Season 30. February can't get here soon enough.

I haven't watched the reunion yet but I think I'm just going to look up the season 30 preview. That's really all I'm interested in... 

 

I'm really glad that Natalie won. I wanted to see Keith in the final 3 with her (he played a way stronger game than Missy and Jacquelyn, and Natalie played a stronger game than him) but I can definitely see why she made sure to get him out. 

 

It was amazing the way he won those challenges in the first hour, though! I was beyond blindsided when they got rid of Baylor (smart move, I just wasn't expecting it to actually happen). I loved how Natalie made that big move in front of everyone (gf was going on and on about it during the commercials, about how smart a move it was, and how that cemented her win). And we were both staring slack-jawed at the screen when Jacquelyn came out of nowhere and won immunity. Damnit all.

 

Not at all surprised that Natalie won. It was really silly of them to keep her around. 

 

Verdict: I hate the "Twinnies" but Natalie by herself is fine. I do agree that people who played on one shouldn't get to be on the other most of the time, but at the same time, the same can be said for celebrities/well-known people. People are selected for their on-screen ability, and the reaction they'll get from the audience.

 

As long as they don't come back for any more All-Star seasons, I'll be content.

I think I'd be less irritated by people coming on when they were on Amazing Race/etc if they took part in said all star seasons.

 

I like the celebrities, because they truly aren't all that great at the game most of the time, and they make for entertaining television. They can spice up the early game when players have yet to establish themselves.

 

But if Natalie/Nadiya had been on during an all star season? I'd have been more ok with that, because they have experience playing that type of show.

 

I'm really intrigued by what this twist on next season will be. I like the concept they have, but a really good twist could put this over the top.

 

Still really surprised as to the fact 30 isn't an all star season.

Natalie/Nadiya made it on Amazing Race All-Stars (to my disdain). I think that fact is why it bothered me that they made it on Survivor as well. If someone makes it on Amazing Race/Survivor, say, a while ago and then happens to try out and makes it on the other show that's fine. But they had two opportunities in the Race and failed (miserably, the second time). The only reason I'm okay with them having been on this season is because Nadiya was first out, and Natalie proved to be less irritating when not around her sister.

 

I have to say, I'm actually not surprised that season 30 is all new. They just had an all-stars season - several, actually. I wouldn't be surprised if they ran out of people to bring back. I'm very interested in what this new twist will be.

Yeah, I heard there were a ton of all star seasons. I'm just surprised they didn't save one of those for season 30, since that's a pretty big number.

 

And even so, there are some players I wouldn't mind seeing a 3rd, 4th, or 5th time.

 

Add those guys in with Spencer, Tony, Tasha, Jeremiah, LJ, J'Tia (selfishly, just want to see her fuck up more), Baylor (curious to see how she could play on her own, without her mom ruling her game, since there were times she wanted to make moves, but her alliance with her mom prevented it), Jon, Reed, Jeremy, Josh... (I could also see them bringing back Woo and Kass, as much as I disliked Kass, and found Woo puppety).

 

I think you have the talent to have another all star season, but I don't mind them bringing another new group in.

 

Ideally, I'd like to see them go the next 2-3 years with nothing but new guys. Then do an all star season or two.

 

I just have one wish. No more blood vs. water seasons for a while.

 

It's a neat concept, but you need to cast better to make the concept compelling. It felt straight and to the point very often. There were a few blindsides, but nothing that in retrospect that would be all that confusing with all the pieces in front of us. I feel like it was an ok season, with a lot of great individual guys to watch, but was bogged down by poor casting in a lot of areas. (I often times forget that people like Kelly were on this season)

I agree that I see them with enough people for a season. But all those people do have to agree to come back...more importantly, though, they did a bunch of all-stars in a row, it feels like. (I confess part of me may have been hoping for a winner vs winner season, but I'm even more glad that it's all newbies.) Concerning J'Tia...They already did a 'second chance' season. =p 

 

I also agree, no more blood vs water. For a while, at least. (In that article I mentioned, they agreed that they cast poorly. I don't see them making the same mistake again - they're great at learning from them.

So far, this has been a fun season. So much drama... I love it. I'm pulling for the No-Collars to do well, and actually got into a fight with my grandmother, as I noted, a few months ago over the idealogies that separate a free spirit from a blue collar worker (like me, and like her, respectively). I want the no collars to show people that just because you lack a "traditional job", you aren't a loser, and you are blending into society in a way that makes you feel like your presence matters.

 

And after the first episode, I think she's starting to respect that No Collar people CAN get the job done, although a large part of their success early on, in both the first and second episode is Joe (who is probably my favorite guy this season, along with Will and Joaquin).

 

I loved how the twist went off this season. The results were very predictable too. The No Collar people seemingly had their mind made up before they even looked at either sheet, the Blue Collar people had a long thought out discussion about what would be best, but ultimately went for the greater communal good, and the White Collar people went instantly for the Stab People In the Back option.

 

Also, lol that the idol was found by someone who didn't even get a clue. I think it's time Survivor switches up the whole idol process, at this point, it's so meta, that she was able to deduce the idol's location based on past seasons. When people are finding idols without hints, they need to be hidden better or add a twist or something.

 

First impressions of various players:

So - Kind of sad to see her go so early, since I thought she had potential to be interesting. Fun fact, she was supposed to be on the last season with her sister, but the sister was pulled for medical reasons.

Vince - Thought he was pretty interesting at first, but very quickly lost interest, and found him to be one of my least favorite people on the season. Glad he's gone. Glad he got "blindsided". (I say that, because I thought it was a foregone conclusion)

Dan - Don't like him. He's annoying as shit. I get that's probably part of his strategy, but I really hope he goes home. It's embarrassing.

Joaquin - One of my favorites early on. See him being a decent villain if he can get to the merge. And he's seemingly physically and mentally abled enough to really be a threat in the individual stage. Could set the stage for an interesting feud with blue collar players.

Joe - My favorite. Doubt he wins, he's too obvious a threat in challenges, and he's talented in many aspects. With Vince gone, he's now the alpha of the tribe, and if he can get 3 other people to the merge with him, he could have numbers.

Mike - I think this is the dumbass who ate a raw scorpion on day one? What the actual fuck dude, the poison isn't JUST in their tail. He's so lucky it was a small one. First impression is he's a complete moron.

Nina - Bless her heart and all that, for being deaf and having the courage to go on Survivor. I just hope that the crew edits her segments really well, because hearing "what?" "what?" "Huh?" all season is going to get annoying. It already has been.

Will - Think he might be a sleeper pick this season. People are going to underestimate him, and being a Youtube Sensation, I have to think he has some idea of social behavior. Think if he gets to the merge that he could be a very dangerous player.

 

Outside of this, we haven't heard from many others yet.

 

As for my thoughts on each tribe...

 

White Collar - Bunch of assholes, none of which trust each other (not saying they should, but if they hit the merge, they are going to be used by the same people they plan on using, simply by way of numbers).

Blue Collar - Bunch of dumbasses, all of them. Haven't seen much redeeming out of them outside of the fact they work hard. But of course they work hard, they are blue collar.

No Collar - Bunch of freaks. I love them, but while their commune is the best, as far as I can tell (especially now that there's only one alpha), they seem to have trouble reaching any sort of decisions. It'll be interesting to see how they adapt.

One downside to losing Vince, as I mulled with my grandmother last week... he may have been an ass, but he was physical, and more likely to help the team in a challenge than Will or Nina. So I fully expect the No Collars to lose, and send one home...

 

Lots of drama. Wow. White Collar has an annoyance who seems like she'd fit in on another tribe better...

 

Hey wait, so does the Blue Collar tribe... and the No Collars too? Shit, is there a hidden twist that one person per tribe has been planted into another's camp?

 

Nina just admitted to being White Collar in the past, no wonder I felt she didn't belong. On top of not integrating with supposed peers, she's the literal opposite of a no collar person. A white collar person. I really really hope she leaves now for some reason. I disliked her before, but now I absolutely hate her. Her bitching is getting on my nerves, and I'm not sure I'll tune in next week if she's still around. 

 

Dan doesn't seem to fit in with the Blue Collars, he seems like he'd be more at home with the easy going No Collar tribe. And he insulted Rodney's mother offhandedly. That's not something people from the northeast really take sitting down. Sheesh, he could be gone... or Mike. Or Rodney. The guys on that tribe are seemingly dumber than dirt, and can't get their head around things.

 

I forget the girls name on White Collar, but she seems like kind of a monkey. At any rate, that aside, Joaquin is showing serious work ethic, and if I had to pick someone on that tribe that didn't belong... it'd be him. He actually seems to be ok with getting his hands dirty, which is unexpectedly blue collar of him. Maybe there's something to my theory, or maybe I'm just throwing shit at the wall.

 

This challenge is interesting! And the No Collar tribe has an interesting tactic, I bet they are going to send Nina ahead because she's slower, and plug only the holes in the back until they catch up with her!

 

Oh wait, where the fuck did Nina go. WHY IS SHE NOT BEING INVOLVED?

I knew this tribe would likely lose tonight without Vince, but shit, you have to do better than that. 

 

Blue Collar (my grandmother is getting very smug) and White Collar walk away with the easy win.

 

Please get rid of Nina. I don't care if you have to lose again next week to get rid of Will. Just... get rid of the most annoying person I've ever seen on this show.

 

Tribal council time, and holy shit Nina, you are doing a very good job of helping me get my wish. She made about every mistake in the book. "You guys should vote _____" "I don't belong." "I was white collar before for 90090930903 years" "IM DEAF"

 

Seriously, I wonder why people who go on this show open their big mouths. If I was in their shoes, I would smile and nod and feign indifference. Might not get me very far, but better than shooting myself in the foot.

 

Next week is a two hour episode, and someone bleeds. I bet it's going to be someone on Blue Collar, no particular reason. I didn't pay attention in the previews so I missed everything but "bleeding" and "two hour episode". Blue Collar has yet to sustain any losses, which means they have the highest odds of having someone get hurt (6/15)

 

Since it's two hours, I fear whoever gets hurt is going home. Which is why it's two hours.

Time to do a quick check on my pre-season predictions.

 

Early, I said I saw the merge being as thus:

 

Merge (assuming merge is at 12 left, like last season) Ratio: 3 White Collar, 5 Blue Collar, 4 No Collar

 

The merge ended up being 4 No Collar, 5 Blue Collar, and 3 White Collar, exactly as I predicted.

 

If true, then my final five has a decent chance of (mostly) being right as well.  My final five predictions were:

 

Carolyn, Joaquin, Mike, Will, and Jenn

 

Of those 5, I'm confident in two of them making it to the Final 5, with two of them as outliers, and one as already out.

 

Impressions of remaining players, and where I think they will end up.

 

Carolyn - I don't care for her. I find her annoying. Finishes 2nd.

Dan - Hate him. Get him off my TV show. One of the most chauvinistic, misoyginistic people I've ever seen play this game. Finishes 10th, hopefully.

Jenn - Love her. Would love to see her finish in the top 3, but have doubts. Still going to stick strong to preseason prediction. Think everyone loves her. Winner.

Joe - Love him. My favorite guy this season, and I hope to see him in future all star seasons (Hear 31 is an all star season!). Finishes 9th. He's going to have to stop winning challenges for that to happen though.

Mike - He's a dumbass, but he is probably closer to an idiot savant. His social game is surprisingly good. Finishes 5th. Once the final five happens, everyone will want him out, threat to win at the end.

Rodney - Another dumbass, but he's entertaining. Almost like a younger version of Tony. Finishes 6th.

Shirin - Just when I thought I had all the answers, they keep changing the questions. How she's survived this late, I have no idea. Now that she's here though... Finishes 8th.

Sierra - Under the radar, confusing how she went back to her tribe that she hated. Her willingness to flip late game might be beneficial. Finishes 4th.

Tyler - Sneaky good player, but I think he's going to end up overplaying his hand. Finishes 7th.

Will - He's not a physical threat. He's too flippy, and that's going to rub people the wrong way. Won't win at the end. Finishes 3rd.

 

For those keeping track at home, I have this as my order of finish:

Jenn, Carolyn, Will, Sierra, Mike, Rodney, Tyler, Shirin, Joe, Dan

 

People from this season I'd like back for an all stars season:

I've enjoyed this season quite a lot.
