I'm just trying to create a neat and orderly portfolio where I can set up my images as fairly large thumbnails, that can be expanded for a full view of the picture. I also need a menu that can navigate to other parts of the portfolio, like my artist statement, resume, ect. I just don't really know how to do any of that.

I have a friend who knows his way around WordPress and web design in general. He's had to design WP accounts for work before and he's a graphic designer with his own portfolios, so he would know how to specifically cater to your needs.

well, since this is for my class and is not my actual professional portfolio, I'm not looking to have someone do it for me. I'm just kinda hoping someone can give me tips or point me towards a straight forward tutorial.

It was probably pretty lonely. Likely the witches knew but didn't care enough to intervene. Or maybe they couldn't, the Emerald City was locked up at all times, which is kind of weird, who ever heard of an indoor city?

 

Puffin, if making a nice design isn't part of it, you can just search for wordpress themes or skins and find one that suits your tastes. Just make sure they're compatible with wordpress.com unless you're using a full version. To do the thumbnail thing, just upload through the media tab, and when you go to post it in a page, select medium, or large, thumbnails.

Hey Puffin, I've used Wordpress in the past for class/personal projects. I can make no guarantees on how helpful I'll be because I think the site's changed a ton since I used it last, but I'd be happy to help you out if we're on at the same time. We could Skype and discuss as we both try to figure it out. (I work in the evenings this week, but we could still get on afterwards.)

 

Concerning DLC, I'm also in the same line of thinking that I don't want to pay extra for DLC unless it's a big change/something I really want. Like, I've bought expansions for games before (See: Neverwinter Nights?) but generally, I'll end up going without, mostly because I rarely even get through games to begin with, let alone get to play additional content.

 

(I'm seriously considering some of the Dragon Age DLC, though. Especially considering how we only paid around $7 for the game.)

I've actually been playing around with blogger and found it to be a lot easier and straight forward than wordpress. currently, just waiting on access to a camera so I can retake photos of my work, then I'll really be gearing up to work on this thang.

So, a male friend of mine from school asked me if I was single- I didn't think much of this, since he has a girlfriend, but today I was warned that he regularly cheats on his girlfriend and that he may be trying to wrap me up in that bullshit. Which, I swear to god, if that happens to be true and he does come on to me, I am going to punch him in the throat as hard as I can.

I'm staying around the corner from there. I walked passed it a couple of times today.

 

Being in Iceland is a lot like how I imagine being in Vvardenfel from Morrowind. The weather is dreary as fuck, the landscape is pretty barren and you can smell sulphur in the air every now and again. It is undeniably beautiful when you can see through the mist though.

 

I'm doing some work here so there's not much time for sightseeing or travelling out of Reykjavik to awesome places unfortunately. I am heading out to try and photograph the Northern Lights in a couple of hours though.

 

I'll try and punch a polar bear in the face.

I visited it, for science. I can't read russian, but it looks like an unregistered domain. I also added the C, for science, but that doesn't appear to be registered, either.

 

To answer your question, though, no I have never received such a message.

Seems to have been removed by the web hosts for a breach of their services... or simply needs to be renewed. I'm guessing it was a scam or phishing website.
