Yeah, that part was pretty fantastic.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Holy fuck. And there's still five more episodes. This seems like it won't disappoint.

Yeah, I am so pissed about where it left off this episode though.

I have decided to see what all the hoopla is about. I will watch Breaking Bad. I hope it doesn't suck.
We've made too many compromises already, too many retreats. They invade our space, and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far and no further!

Well it doesn't.

I think it's worth noting that the first three seasons aren't nearly as good as seasons 4 & 5.

Well I don't know. Seasons 1-3 still have their moments of brilliance, and I still very much love season 3 and its pacing. I think it's just a credit to the show that it just continually tops itself as it keeps going.
Season 1 is still slow, especially compared to later on, and Season 2 is kind of weird but still enjoyable. I think I like them less now than I did when they were the only seasons because...well...the latter seasons are just masterful in so many ways.

:O You are so right. THIS IS AMAZING! I'm almost all the way through season one and I can't take my eyes off of the screen!

Yeah that's the interesting thing about this show, I guess. Is unless you're heavily into serialized drama like that (I guess) season 1 is so astounding and awesome. Yet once you get around to the later seasons you can realize how slow and shaky the first season is, but when you first watch it? Damn what a ride.
