In the first season didn't they often flash forward to the climactic scene? Like in the first episode? Been a while since I watched through this.
But at least we know how it's going to end now.

So we have 14 episodes left. 6 of this half season, or season, or whatever. And we are just now introduced to Lydia. Who the hell is she? I don't know but she sure is a psycho bitch.
But it's interesting, isn't it? She has a supply of methylamine when apparently there is nooooowhere around ABQ that Jesse/Saul can get it. You know who would have methylamine and is relatively close? Gray Matter. There is no way in hell this show is going down without bringing that up again. Gretchen, Elliott, and Walt's back-story is probably the most interesting part of the show, besides maybe the future and Gus' back-story. But we will get to the future, and Gus is dead so it doesn't really need to be told, as much as I'd like it to be. The whole Gray Matter stuff is just something that Vince Gilligan must have had been thinking about for the end game. There is no way in hell would that be brought up just to be dropped way back in season 2. And now, now that he can tie up the show as perfectly as he can possibly can, it will come into play. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I really really think it's going to be a big deal coming up, and it will be Lydia that brings us to it.
Lydia is clearly a back stabbing bitch. Elliott and Gretchen may be too, based on what Walt has made it out to be, or maybe he's just an unreliable character which would make sense. I know this is going to sound crazy, and it's just my thoughts, but I think in the flash forward in episode 1 of this season it's Walt out to kill something dealing with Gray Matter. I originally thought, and I have thought it for a long time, that the show would end up with Walt and Jesse having to fight each other. But that has already kind of happened in Season 4. And I think, even if Jesse kills Skyler for whatever reason, Walter wouldn't come back for him. But Gray Matter is just a matter that Walt clearly has never let go, and it would be the ultimate failure of him being king, and then Elliott and Gretchen taking it away from him again.
Although I really don't think that will happen, I think it would be an interesting way to take it. Buuuuuut I really do think, at least, Lydia and Gray Matter are connected.
Also what the fuck did Walt just rape Skyler? Jesus.

Does anyone else think that them going to a box factory is a reference to The Simpsons?
How often do you hear about box factories?

Also, I'm fairly certain that Walter is becoming the scariest mother fucking villain on TV. Yes, villain.

The only other time I've heard of one.
I concur. I read something about how probably the darkest scene in that whole episode is when he sees that Walt Whitman book and just kind of laughs about it, feeling absolutely no remorse for Gale. That is dark.
Also the irony that now the cook in places infested with bugs, when a few seasons ago one fly was a huge problem.

I want to see Hal smoke more pot. "Get up, stand up! Stand up for your right!"

Or at least a representation of who Walt thinks he is./>do you think that watching Scar face was a bit of foreshadowing?

I loved this episode. It reminded me a lot of "Fly".
I never in a million years thought I would feel so bad for Skyler.

But any likability Walt has had is now gone. And I think partly why this episode was so hard to watch was that it was basically just Walt the entire episode. Very little Jesse or Mike.
I doubt it, but I wonder if this episode is meant to show us that Walt is the bad guy this season, and kind of explain to us, without explicitly explaining to us, why we'll get more episodes like two weeks ago that were all about Mike.

Also, what the fuck is wrong with people? Do they completely miss the point of the show? This is what is wrong with the world.
(And I know the irony, because for four seasons I wanted her to die too. But not this way. She doesn't deserve it like this)

/>Major credit to this series for finding ways to stay fairly unpredictable. I saw your facebook post about Not-Matt Damon, but avoided this topic to avoid spoilers. I have to say, that was not what I was expecting.

Skyler is an awful character. Maybe I don't get it but you don't mess with the Heisenberg.

Even the scene with Jesse at dinner. Which was absolutely one of the funniest things I've seen.
Also I saw this comment on AV Club and thought it hilarious:
"I like that Jesse remembered exactly how much money Walt wanted to raise originally. I like to imagine that he's been keeping a scrapbook of his time with Walt. Maybe there's a drawing of a thermometer, all colored red because they reached their goal. A picture of the guys cooking with a caption that says "Two knuckleheads, just mething around!""
