Two months later and I still haven't picked The Lightning Thief back up.
I think I'll read Mockingjay instead once I'm done with my final essay for school.

Took a break to read through all of Chobits. Now I want a persocom laptop.

Reading book four of the Clan of the Cave Bear series... Once again, I find myself randomly stopping and not picking it back up for days upon end.

The same thing happened to me the last time I did this. >.< And it's strange because I still really enjoy the series, and am not bored with it...

Reading the Omen Machine by Terry Goodkind, very good in my opinion.

Lost at Sea is pretty great. It's nothing like the Scott Pilgrim books, but all you Scott Pilgrim fans should give it a try anyway.

EDIT: Also read Crimson-Shell just now. Definitely seems like something Cy would like.

Currently reading The Mote in God's Eye by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. It's a hard sci-fi story about first contact with an alien species. It is loaded to the brim with (fictional) scientific detail which would normally annoy me, but I am for some reason finding quite fantastic. In just a little bit here I'm going to have a marathon reading session to see how much of it I can knock out today.

Made it to book 5 of the Clan of the Cave Bear series yesterday. =) Already halfway through it (mostly because I had long train rides on which to read). Enjoying it so far.

And it was wonderful.

I love reading the Haruhi books. I've watched the anime so many times that I hardly even spot new things anymore when I revisit episodes. But with the novels, I keep getting new stories that are completely unfamiliar to me (starting with book 5 at least, though the others were all still wonderful).

So since the last time I posted here, I finished book six of Clan of the Cave Bear (most recent book, if not the last. I'm not certain) and am now working on A Clash of Kings (Game of Thrones book 2).

xxxHolic has been pretty great so far, though I only have the first half of the series.

I haven't been reading any proper books lately. Just comic books. xp

I've been trying to read Trigun, but it's so...cluttered and messy. I can't always tell what's supposed to be going on. =/

Having another go at Mockingjay since I only read the first two chapters last time. Back in May, apparently.

That was a lot better than I was expecting, but I suppose I wasn't expecting much out of it after testimonials from Kamau and others. :p

Not sure what to read next. I may resume The Lightning Thief or Life, the Universe, and Everything. I've also thought about rereading The Hobbit since the movies will start coming out soon, and I've only read it once about 14 years ago.

I'm currently reading The Rose Labyrinth. It's a fictional novel about a series of items that may have belonged to John Dee, that have been passed down in his family for generations. Now, in the present day, any history behind the items has been forgotten, and it's a story of intrigue, mystery, and suspense (with a lot of history thrown in that I don't know if it was made up or not) as we try to get reacquainted with the past.

The book also keeps switching between present day and the time of John Dee. It started off slow, but is getting more interesting.

Currently reading Neuromancer by William Gibson. Or trying to. I don't know if I'm just choosing bad times to try to read this, but I'm currently having a little trouble following this book.

You could always try coming back to it.

I'm still plugging away through The Rose Labyrinth...Though honestly, I would rather put it down. =/ I'm just not enjoying how complicated the solution to the mystery seems to be. It would be different if I could at least try to solve the clues along with the characters, but they give me nothing ahead of time, and when the characters suddenly understand something, most of the time it feels like it's coming out of left field.

I have no idea what I'll read when I do finish it, though.
