Soon I will be reading the rest of SCOTT PILGRIM!!

/>Give her another year or so, and she'll be reading books to you. =)

* * *

Finished Xenocide a short while ago. Planning to start Children of the Mind tomorrow.

I might go straight on to the rest of the "Shadow" books after that, but I haven't decided yet.

How are you liking the series?

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I like what I got (as evidenced by me reading over 1,000 pages in about a week). I'm about 2/3 through Children of the Mind now, and while it's not my favorite of the bunch, I love the scenes with Wang-mu and Ender's "son." They amuse me greatly.

I think I may go for the "Shadow" books next after all. I don't yet own a copy of Ender in Exile, so I'll wait on that until start running out of other books to read.

I kinda started the Shadow series, but then got side tracked onto the Alvin Maker books.

Currently I read Scott Pilgrim books 5 & 6. ^^

Are the Alvin Maker books pretty good? I've got Seventh Son on my library to-do list, but it's been a while since I last checked anything out.

Yay for Scott Pilgrim~

Amazing. I got so enthralled by the characters and story i started ranting to Tony about how mad I was about a situation ,or how I could relate to another. Orson has a gift.

I have never been so interested in legitimate books until I started reading Orson's books. I'm not a big reader, yet his writing style and ability to develop so much in a few pages took me by surprise.

For Alvin Maker, I've only read the first 3, but I kinda think I could have stopped after the first 2. If you only read Seventh Son and Red Prophet, you will be happy. Red Prophet is amazing.

Orson Scott Card saddens me. His politics seem to contradict his writing, unless I'm just seriously misinterpreting his writing.

On topic, though, I'm still reading that darned coffee book, and now Scott Pilgrim 5 and 6.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Kinda like how Dune should have stopped at 6 books (though I prefer just the first 3), seeing as how the author died? And now his son is milking the series for all it's worth with more and more unnecessary volumes...

Suck it up cupcake.

Rest assured I sucked up the whole thing in about 5 days. Doesn't mean it wasn't a long book. :p

Aaaand there goes Shadow of the Hegemon. Time to start Shadow Puppets.

Yay spring break. Lots of time to read and not worry about school.

EDIT: Two days later, finished Shadow Puppets. I enjoy the scenes with Bean and Petra. Peter's parents are surprisingly hilarious though. I love them. :3
Almost done with the Shadow series~

It figures that the nearby Borders that's closing down only has books 3-5 in the series...

Just finished The Curious Case of the Dog in the Night-time. It's told from the POV of an autistic child. It's quite sad sometimes. :(

Just started Woman on the Edge of Time. Trippy stuff so far.

Ah, Tsubasa is really good! I wish I continued reading it. The story becomes really confusing after a certain bit.

For manga, I'm reading Switch Girl, Amnesia Labyrinth, and Lovely Complex Plus.

And as for something not as entertaining, "Social Structures" by John Levi Martin. I started this a long time ago, but managed to only get twenty pages in. Picked it back up because it's been collecting dust on my work desk.

I'm still reading Shadow of the Giant, just not very often or for very long at a time... It's not nearly as gripping as the other Shadow books so far.

I am not reading book five of the Wolf series because I don't own it. ):

I am, however, about to start on Mindy L. Klasky's "Glasswright" series. (I just hope I don't read too quickly 'cause I only brought books 1 and 2 up with me; the rest are home.)

Among the selected scholarly journal articles and other books on such topics as the Axiom of Choice, I'm slogging my way through "Philosophy of Mathematics (Handbook of the Philosophy of Science)" to prepare for my presentation on Metamathematics. It's so..incredibly dense.

I think I need more fun reading when I'm done with this class.

Thinking about "Among Others" by Jo Walton.

Finally finished Shadow of the Giant. It was kinda boring at first when the characters were mostly just hearing about other people doing stuff on the news. But it got good around 80 pages in.

Still deciding what to read next. Maybe the sequels to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
