I've recently watched some videos of people playing through the old school make-your-own-adventure books. You would read though the story and when given a choice, you would flip to the appropriate point of the book to continue. The system it used was really simple, usually just strength and luck as stats and then gold and items to use. It's more about decision making and the story. I've always liked that part the most about RPs, the decision making process. Combat can often be clunky and turns it too much into overthinking and unrealistic combat.
Would anyone be interest in Skype roleplaying? It would be really short sessions, maybe an hour or so at most. There would be no in depth character creations or complex stats. Just a single D20 that you would be told when to roll, but mostly gameplay would be what decisions you make and how you interact with everyone else. I have no specific setting in mind, probably just general fantasy because it's easy to create a world for. Anyone interestd?
