EDIT: Unrelated to the above comic, ProJared has begun a new Nuzlocke LP. Following up after Leaf Green and Y, he is now playing a terrible rom-hack called Dark Cry. It's great fun.

Steam recommended this not-Sonic game (Freedom Planet) to me, and the trailer actually makes it look really good. Anyone here ever played/heard of it?

Never heard of it, but it looks pretty cool. I may have to grab it when it goes on sale next.

It's been a while since I last played EB. And I recently regained access to our SNES. I should do something about that.

There's a lot of talk lately about different publishers putting out games locked at 30FPS (Ubisoft and Bethesda are the big two), No no no!!! This is just crazy! By itself 30FPS isn't so bad, I suppose, as long as it's constant. But man, for most games, 60FPS+ is so important at keeping the game play smooth. I remember reading that the reason F-Zero X is kinda butt to look at is because NIntendo insisted on keeping it 60FPS.

I'm not sorry Ubisoft, if Assassin's Creed Unity can't manage 60FPS, then make it run that well. Turn off the damn motion blur. Turn down the detail of the shadows or something. Just make it run.

I have a toaster, so running games at 60+ fps is a wet dream for me even on the lowest settings.

Also I'm finally rolling in a Total War campaign! I'm also starting Massivefect 2 after completing the first!

I wouldn't worry about it, man. You know mods will be released that unlock 60fps.

I seriously hate a certain modern publisher at the moment. They flippin' have their developers so painfully bound by their PR department that it's impossible to find a single interesting interview or comment form them about their games.

Nobuo Uematsu wants to make a better 2D RPG than Final Fantasy VI with the Final Fantasy VI team.

I sure hope that is a thing that happens, and it's not mobile.

Valkyria Chronicles is coming to Steam on November 11th

I know some people here are fans, but it deserves more love than it gets. I haven't played a lot of it but what I've played is really enjoyable. I think the people who like X-Com would particularly like this game. X-Com is probably the deeper game, gameplay wise, but Valkyria Chronicles is prettier with better characters. Also it's much older than X-Com, so some slack should be given. But bother have similar styles of gameplay (I think).

Anyways, I'm going to get it, only in the hope that Sega might release more things like this (please please please release Skies of Arcadia).

I already have it on PS3 and don't feel any need to buy it again, BUT I definitely recommend Valkyria Chronicles to other people.

I just saw that game at Gamestop for under $20. I considered it, but I'm not sure I'd play it right now (or ever).

But it's almost like Fire Emblem. With tanks and snipers and old machine guns. And somehow still magic a little bit? And a cool watercolor art style.

Almost makes me want a 3DS more.

But I still want a PS4, and that's much much higher on my priority list.

I don't play any games that require subscriptions. Likewise, I don't purchase expansions/DLC (that could change in the future, but it hasn't yet). I've noticed a lot of games coming out that mention "season passes" for, what, $40? For a game that's already $60? I enjoy video games but have no intention of spending $100 to play one.

Oo, that's really cool. I do hope it gets more popular.

Also from what I've heard I don't think I would like Skies of Arcadia's battle system but I'm kind of with you on wanting it to be re-released just cuz Aika is super cool. Or at least if she's anything like her VC counterpart she is.

Bang bang, baby!

I just saw that game at Gamestop for under $20. I considered it, but I'm not sure I'd play it right now (or ever).

Please do the thing, it is so completely worth!
