I see we have a few rare biomes and no jungle. Jungles aren't considered rare now are they? I find it odd we have none...
Somewhere out there is another server that is plagued with nothing but Jungle Biomes. Oh wait, maybe that's our parallel universe server...

We had a new person on the server today! His username is Redtexan97. It seems nice enough. He's from the group that belonged to the server address before we got it. He was only on for about 15 minutes and went to another server. He said he'd be back.
Just an fyi for everyone. Glace met him too (though he left shortly after Tex logged on). Fun times were had by all!

I'd like to try connecting to the server this afternoon after I get home from work to make sure I know what I'm doing for tomorrow. I just enter the address to get in, right? Do I need any kind of mods or plug-ins or what have you, or am I able to connect with vanilla Minecraft?

You won't have to do anything special. The mods we have are all the server itself, it doesn't effect your game from connecting.
once you launch Minecraft:
- Click 'Multiplayer'
- Click 'Add Server'
- Enter a name for the server. (You can name it anything. I named mine MonkeyCraft.)
- Type in the server address - 108.170.23.232:25565
- Click 'Done'
It'll then display it with how strong the connection is and how many players, out of 30 are online.

Cools. From glancing at this topic, it sounds like there's a pre-set spawn point? I assume there's somewhere safe nearby so that I don't have to resort to a silly little tower if night falls sooner than I expect? :p

It's pretty awesome!
Edit: It was fun to see Puffin on the server. I'm sad I missed Stars. He keeps being on when I'm not! I think he keeps planning it that way.

I've just been on the one time for a few minutes. =p I'm still fussing around in single player trying to get the hang of things.
I did see the airship though. And the "Future Home of Puffin Art Museum," which apparently got Puffin to check out the server when I told her about it.
I've been exploring some caves, actually fighting some dudes, and dying more. I fell into a dark cave through the ceiling at one point and was done in by a pair of creepers. >_< Fortunately I've been saving all my cool stuff in chests and haven't lost anything major yet.
EDIT: On the plus side, I've found a bit of iron and a bunch of redstone. I also found one block of emerald, but I tried to mine it with a stone axe and wasted it. >_< Also found a chest guarded by a zombie spawner and got some good stuff from that.
