Bunny Link, Flute Boy, that running dude.

But seriously what Stars said. Also Sahasrahla. There's maybe others I'm forgetting.

Also Wii U release calendar according to NOA:
BwdnYR-IMAAGFhv.jpg

Looks pretty good but Zelda/Star Fox next year seems like a stretch. Look how long Smash Bros took (which I am really hope does not get delayed).

Disappointed there is no Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem on that list.

There's a decent Wii U bundle that just came out and might be the one I finally invest in. For $275 (at Best Buy) it's the 32GB console with Nintendo Land and Super Mario 3D World - on disc. I've always preferred having physical copies of games when it's an option, so that little detail was a nice surprise.

It's not the most amazing deal ever, but I have been putting off getting a Wii U for a good while. By now there are a handful of games that have grabbed my interest, and of course Smash will be here before much longer.

Oh yeah. My wife and I have one of these now. I haven't played it much.

Though, having my daughter able to play on the controller while I hog the tv for skyrim is super duper nice.

Every Wii U bundle besides the Windwaker one comes with physical copies.

Also I'd like to point out that Walmart has a similar bundle with Mario Kart instead of 3D World. Although both are awesome games. Also also if you don't care about refurbished buying a refurbished Wii U from Nintendo is still a better deal than that. Also also ALSO, you should maybe just wait until Black Friday. I'm sure there will be a ton of better deals + maybe a Smash Bros console by then. (although you should buy a Wii U, dooo it)

That is one of my favorite things about the Wii U. Being able to play games and not hog up the TV. Or if I'm lazy (or Bee has to sleep) just play in bed. It is the best thing. The Gamepad is the best thing about the Wii U and I wish Nintendo would push it more. And by push it, I mean show people how useful it can be, and make more unique experiences for it. I like that I'm not forced to use it for games that don't require it. The only two I can think that forces it are Game and Wario and Nintendoland and those are creating unique experiences for it.

Oh, totally forgot about this, but if you do pull the trigger on getting it at Best Buy stop by a Post Office and get a moving kit or whatever. (if they still exist, this post I'm linking to makes it seem like it expired in August, but worth a shot)

You'll get a Mover's Coupon which gets you 10% off a lot in store. I believe it will apply to the Wii U. At the very least that will eat up tax.

Only 4 weeks left untill we get bayonetta 2 for the Wii U.

I will finnaly have a reason to play the Wii U again.

Well I do play my skyward sword on the Wii U and I still need to finish that one, but I have taken it slow for 2 reasons.

1 : I want to have it played though as close as the release for Zelda Wii U as possible

2 : PLaying it with a friend, So I only play when he's with me. we have done a full playthough like this for all the zelda games to this date, it has taken us about 3 years to finnaly be at the end of Skyward sword (oh and we skipped the oracle games)

I think I can say when it comes to games on the Wii U.

The graphical settings of most games works very well with the Samsung Active 3D system. I can't wait to see how zelda will look in 3D ^^

Ah, good to know. The Windwaker bundle is the only one I had previously looked at, so that was my baseline for comparison. (I enjoy Mario Kart the most in local multiplayer, but that's unlikely to happen at present. Not interested in Skylanders.)

I had considered waiting to see if there will be a Smash bundle. I would have thought it was super likely, but since they've revealed a controller bundle with no word (that I've seen) on a console bundle, I'm less certain. As for Black Friday, I avoid going outside as much as possible, and online deals tend to sell out by the time I find them, so I often don't bother anymore. I'll check into refurbished systems to see how those look.

The Skylander bundle is the one I have. I've not touched Skylanders. But it's usually the best deal since it has constantly gone down to $200 and comes with NintendoLand too.

The Skylanders bundle might be tempting if I found it that cheap, although the 75% smaller hard drive is a bit off-putting.

And Holy Cow I did not expect the refurbished units to be that cheap. I haven't bought new hardware since the Wii and DS Lite, and I have no particular need to have a mint condition Wii U.

You'll probably need a new hard drive no matter which bundle you get, unless you never download a game or much DLC.

I barely had much room just with updates/VC games on my 8gb. Pikmin 3 and Game and Wario were about 16gbs together, and I got those for free. I can only imagine what the Mario Kart 8/Hyrule Warriors DLC will take up.

Also ask BG about the refurbished consoles, he bought one. I imagine they're near mint anyways.

So I just bought one of these for Christmas. I got the Super Mario 3D World bundle, and I also bought Mario Kart 8 and the Infinity starter kit, and the Anna and Elsa dual pack because Naomi is crazy about Frozen. Smash Bros will also be around, but I still won't be able to play it until November. =(

Any other games I should get?

Pikmin 3 is really great.

Hyrule Warriors as well if you can stand Warriors games.

I have yet to play Bayonetta because my console has been packed up but I have heard great things.

Oh I didn't know Bayonetta was on Wii U. I'll definitely have to check that out! I haven't played Pikmin 2 or even finished the first one but I doubt the story is that important, so I'll probably pick that up at some point, but it will be later for sure. As for HW, maybe, haven't played any other Warriors games--in fact, I didn't even know that was a franchise until HW came out. I probably won't pick it up though, since isn't it just a fighting game?

Keeping in mind that I still don't have a Wii U and haven't actually played the game myself: Wonderful 101.

Ahah! I knew there was a game I wanted that I couldn't think of, and that's exactly the game I wanted to remember! Thanks man!
