Not all quests are dynamic.

And even so, the speech thing, I still don't like the fact that there's basically only one guild area. Also the speech perk is sooo high up it's kinda useless.

I don't think that the dragons break the game, even if they were to happen to kill some quest giving NPC (which I don't think can happen). Wouldn't that just add to the sense of urgency in the world? That people really can die?

My second city right now is Riftin. I like it so far, but I'm feeling some seriously conflicted emotions. First of all, I never intended to join the thieves guild with this character, especially considering they are basically thugs when you meet them. Every bit of dialogue I've come across though has led me to believe that by joining the thieves guild, i might be able to help the town of Riftin from within. Now I'm not so sure. I'm up to a quest now that I really do not want to do, and I can't seem to get out of it. (The New Vegas trick of killing my quest giver doesn't seem to work. Bloody shame). I have tried to avoid spoilers, but I've also been trying to find out whether or not doing bad things will have a good result... It's... difficult. Sadly the game is just too new, and there just isn't enough information on the nets yet. Monkey, should I stick with the thieves guild, or try to get out?

I haven't found the difficulty inconsistent at all. I can't really melee combat anything, especially groups, because I use light armor and most of my perks have been focusing on archery and stealth. I have come across some majorly tough enemies, and have either had to run away, or come up with some other strategy (I love the shadows...). It works, in my opinion. Not every enemy should be beatable.

Also, the guilds having only a centralized location kind of makes sense, since they are no longer "official" guilds, sanctioned by the empire.

I didn't say that they do break the game, I was just wondering if they could break it.

I don't know, if you're that torn about it, I would say get out. I just like money.

seeing how a trophy/achievent is for "returning the thieve's guild to their former glory" i would assume it would fix Riften. i felt bad about smashing this one guys vase to intimidate him, i wanted to be able to offer to pay his protection to his oppressors, but the option wasn't available.

smithing seems to be my thing. i'm 7 pts. away from being able to make dragon bone armor.

I've discovered smithing is super easy to level up if you just make iron stuffs.

I just did something I wasn't proud of for the thieves guild, and now I need to go to Solitude.

I also noticed that about half a dozen of the other quests I have are in or near Solitude.

I've decided to get to Solitude from Riften without using fast travel.

Fun!

Well this is disappointing. Killing a bunny with fire still give you raw meat, not cooked.

Also, I got rid of the noise~
I'm playing as a Breton battlemage. If I get tired of that, I'll probably try some manner of sneaky character.

Also, I hooked my PC up to the TV to see how well it would work. Other than an odd alignment problem, which I attribute to using an older monitor cable (I surprisingly don't have a mini-HDMI cable lying around, which my graphics card wanted), everything worked just fine. Except.....

I still don't get how people can play with a controller! It's just so imprecise! I know you don't need to get headshots or anything in Skyrim, but jesus is it difficult just to aim weapon, bow or sword.

you don't really have to aim the swords, just swing away! you really have to take your time with bow shots. i can see why people like them now, its really meditative.

how do you pick up an item and move it around the screen like in the basket on head video? i've tried a bunch of things, but can't figure it out, it's only happened once to us by accident, and then we couldn't figure out how to do it again.

You have to press and hold the main interaction button. Not sure what symbol that is on the PS3.

i think my game is glitched. is anyone else having a problem going to Markarth without being immedietely arrested? i did a certain quest that involved breaking out of jail, and i am not showing a bounty there. now i can't go there at all without being attacked by the guards.

See, for all the FPS's I've played on an xbox, I've never had difficulty aiming. But in Bethesda games the highest sensitivity is maybe mid range in other games and it just feels bad. It's weird. Then again, I rented Modern Warfare 3 and had a terrible time.

I do think I'm missing something by not playing it on a PC, though. Hard to explain.

Also, definitely

Certain quest important characters are invincible. That is a little annoying. Also my spoiler up there isn't major, just something about the environment that surprised me.

So I guess that answers my question as to whether a dragon could just kill someone important.

I've been wondering lately and discovered that snow bears are absolute assholes.

So I did this quest where I had to deliver something to this girls parents, because she was injured and couldn't make the trip, her parents then gave me something to take back to her. Which I did. She was sitting outside her house with a few others and right after I gave her the item a dragon arrived, I fought the dragon and killed it pretty easily, but sadly she was a casualty of the battle, and it made me pretty sad and I stopped playing.
