A) I am thinking of starting a whole Minecraft sub-forum since this topic confuses me sometimes...and we seem to have multiple worlds/servers going on right now.

I don't know what Tupa is using right now, but this sounds cheaper/better if I remember. And I'll be willing to pay for about half starting next month...since this is all MP related anyways.

Your willing to pay half, like $4,something....but have trouble (as far as I can tell) with $2 for the current server /rant.

Also, it's only cheaper if you pay 3 or more months in one go, because minimum slots is 8 and thats just short of $10....just like HG now (does have more slots though....not that I have encountered that many playing at the same time, but who know? invite friends...).

Don't get me wrong, if it's comparable or better then HG (which is very probable) ill go along just like that, really don't care as long as I can play.


I do suggest we first try it for a month to experiment with it (lag/configs/server accessibility-functions) before anyone actually goes for 3 or more months of payment.

HG is payed until (roughly) 20th of April...that should be enough testing time....right?

It says it's the same by month, when I looked at ordering it just now. 9.60 a month no matter what.

I do think it's worse than just using our own regular server like sadpancake. I'm against it, but whatever. If this is what you guys ultimately want, then fine. I'm willing to pay for halfish every month just because it's a server for MP...and I'll eventually start using it again too.

And I know it (the number of slots you're paying for at the moment) won't be a problem now, but I think, hopefully, we'll be able to get more and more people to play, even people who may not be on MP right this second.

ANNND, with the other server I just posted...if you want...we can use Sad Pancake's old world with it.

- true, i merely stated it was not "cheaper", as total cost. only when ordering 3 or more months.
- i can't confirm or dismiss that statement as i have yet to try the upgraded sadpancake server.
- true, as previously stated i too figured we would "eventually" be having more players, justifying the extra slots of your server suggestion (making it a pre over HG at the moment)
- true, but this is also true for the current server where we in fact already play with the old world.

the big pre for your server at the moment is the added slot space, if it performs on par or better than HG I will probably not extend the current HG MC-Server.

I made a warp so anyone can visit, warp name is "Heaven"

The server is down as expected because of issues with the new patch. I'll update it when the right tools have been released by shadowy internet "personalities".

In the meantime, I've rendered a massive spiffing zoomable map thingy! You can poke your eyeballs at it to your hearts content over at monkeycraft.dyndns.tv.

It's a little out of date and I think I maybe could have done a better job with the render settings so I'll probably put a new one up when the server is returned.

EDiT: This new map doozy can read signs, all you have to do is open and close the text with a "-" e.g. "- Chicken Temple -". Or at least that's how I think it works...

Well sadpancake.com anyway. The dedicated one just doesn't want me to connect... claiming it's timed out and such. FML.

looked at the server, it was stopped, so I started it again.

but cant play because the version is outdated....and im not going to mess with updates and such, might break it or do something stupid.

So i will leave that task to Bean and Ax-pants

Life is far far far too busy for me at the moment. There is a new version of hMod available ("Canary"), hopefully I'll find 5 minutes to update the server before going to bed tonight.
