Too bad Google Fiber is never coming to central Kansas. I will walk a spool of wire to Kansas City along I-35 just to get it.

Hmm, 175 miles of fiber optic cable is expensive. Maybe I can get Stars to pitch in.

well I litterally just got it turned on and they said I was Paying for 50mb/s

I know, at least for cable, it takes a while for the modem to hit peak speeds after being turned on.

Or maybe your modem just sucks.

Haha, sux2b/xteven, I'm only paying for the 30 and still getting faster speeds! Though it makes me miss when I had Comcast, and paid for 30 but typically got around 50--though nothing near the upspeeds that Monkey's getting!

+ Got to come home and visit the family this weekend!

+ Went to see the Lion King on Broadway for my parents' 30th anniversary!

- Couldn't focus on or enjoy the second act because

--------- Some jerk stole my bag!

I put it down for a minute so we could take a picture (I didn't want to have it on in the pic since we were all dressed up). Then they announced that intermission was ending so we headed back up to our seats and right as I got to mine (maybe three minutes later, max) I realized I'd left my bag. So I ran downstairs... and it wasn't where I left it. ): I asked all the staff members on the floor (we were on the second floor lobby, and I'd left it in a back corner) but they hadn't seen anything, and they told me to check back at the end of the show. So I did, but no luck. D: I stood with the bouncer and watched as everyone came down the stairs to leave while Dad watched on the other side and we didn't see it; we checked around more and by the end of it all, I'm pretty sure every employee knew I'd lost my bag. But still no dice, so we quickly called and canceled all my cards (+Luckily, no transactions had been reported on any of them. So whoever took the bag clearly didn't know what they were doing...).

I lost

-My wallet, with all my credit/debit cards, as well as gift cards, my driver's license, my old school ID, etc.

(+Apparently Mom might be able to get a replacement card for the largest lost gift card, since she claims to have the original receipt, and the site says it can be done)

-One of my Star Wars books (book 2!)

(+Which we were able to replace at Barnes and Noble)

-A notebook that I'd brought in case writing happened

(+Thankfully, the notebook was empty)

-My sister's favorite water bottle

(+Apparently one of her friends might have the same one, and they're willing to give her theirs)

-Some old pictures from college that I actually probably can't replace.

-The wallet itself, which I'd gotten for my birthday after having a ridiculously hard time finding a wallet I like.

(+Mom remembers where she got it and is going to see if they still carry it.)

PS My wallet had like $6 whole dollars in cash in it.

It could have been a LOT worse (I could have had my DS in there...my sister could have stashed her wallet in there...I could have had car keys in there...etc.) and luckily we were able to cover most of the damage immediately, but it's still really annoying and uncool. I mean, there was practically nothing of value in there. Why take the whole bag? D: Why not take out the $6 and toss the rest? People suck!

Calling the theatre again in the morning just to make sure it didn't show up, but I dunno how hopeful I'm feeling. I also have to go down the DMV and get a replacement license (-Which Mom and Dad will then have to mail to me in Pittsburgh) and pay a $17.50 replacement fee. Apparently if I bring in a police report of it being stolen, the fee can be waived...but when I went to the police near where it happened, they asked if I'd canceled my cards and then basically said that since I had, the report was unnecessary. "You can file it if you really want to, but there's really no point..."  And then I have to get to the bank and get a replacement debit card...somehow.

The best part is I have to do this all before it's time to catch my plane Monday morning. ): because I can't change my flight time unless I want to pay like $400.

My (potentially) theft-related incident doesn't seem as bad after that...

- Someone attempted to make a $400 purchase using my credit card at a grocery chain in the Carolinas.

+ They weren't able to.

- My Visa account had to be deactivated and replaced, so I have no credit card for about a week until I get one for my new account in the mail.

Lovely day.

- Got no sleep, which was my own fault.

- My bus was 20 minutes late.

+ Thankfully this didn't make me miss my transfer.

-- Bought a coffee to wake me up before my math class- only to discover that the milk I'd poured into it must have been off.

--- Realized this only after my class started. :( So, I couldn't go back to the cafe to fix it.

- The vent randomly exploded a cloud of dust into the class room (allergies ensued).

++ More awake than I would have anticipated, despite the lack of coffee.

---- Missed the first class of my most important class of the semester, due to a room switch and a lack of any notification of the change. It was actually last Tuesday, but I was hoping the professor had cancelled. Found out via email that wasn't the case today. Sigh.

Aaaand I still got roughly 5 hours before I get to go home (night class).

Edit:

+++++++ My last class was actually pretty enjoyable. So, all in all, not feeling too bad about the day in the end.

- Lost forms competition.
