Lol, block smashing is easy with Gyarados, Scizor and Feraligator. It also helps if you look at where the cracks are as the bricks come down and tap the general area where most of 'em are. I can't seem to beat 120 blocks, but you only need to meet that one, not beat it. =P

Pennants can suck it.

I don't have the right combination of Pokemon for the block smashing to be successful yet, but I think I'll be coming back to the ones I keep missing when I have different Pokemon. I just want to try and become a champ of this because it's new and exciting.

Discovered something totally useful/fun today. As long as it's within the time parameters to call a gym leader for a rematch, you can keep calling them and fighting them. Did that with bugsy today. Raped him with lvl 53 Dragondance Gyarados then switched to aerodactyl to finish off his shedinja.

On the topic of fun awesome things, I noticed that on the Pokemon's stat screen, the stat increased by its nature has a slight red tint on it, and the stat lowered is tinted blue :o

Orly? I hadn't noticed that... I did notice that something affects a pokemon's base pokeathlon stats as well. I can tell by comparing pokemon of the same species, so i suppose it's a result of it's nature, and perhaps that characteristic at the bottom (often scatters things, etc)

Those saying are a result of their IVs.

I knew that part. Just don't know if the nature's and particular I've is what causes pokemon to have slightly higher skill (spc) and slightly lower power (atk) if they're modest. =P You know they're shaded differently to show how much of a stat they have.

Gaaah. I finally found the right combination to at least get the top score for Block Smash (Kangaskhan, Quilava, and Mareep), and I got all of the other high scores except for the lamp one. I just can't get the hang of it, and as much as part of me wants to give up on the Pokeathlon, the competitive part demands that I don't move forward in the game until I beat it. >.<

I got all the top scores. :) But it's not the last step! However, I think the rest of it just involves me playing it over and over again soo... I'm moving on.

Kamau- Any tips or tricks for the events you care to bestow upon us in your pokeathelon wisdom. Like pokemon choices, arikorn/blender stuff, pokemon recommended for events, etc?

Hyper- Almost done transferring all the pokemon I want to keep from Pt. Wish I knew where my Pearl was, cuz it has a lot more, as well as a lot of gts traded pokemon, and well, the closest to full pokedex since I got all 150 on my blue version. I think I'll restart PT with the flaming poo thrower this time.

I actually didn't use any acorn or blender stuff at all, as crazy as that sounds, so I can't be much help there.

Pokemon choice... well most of it is obvious. Like for the power one, you want to use Pokemon that look stronger (like I used Kangaskhan) or have strong stats in power (like Mareep). For Jump you want to use flying types, as they can go a lot higher than most. Sandshrew was amazing for Skill, as was Togepi. I used Ponyta to get all five medals (though not top scores) but it's surprisingly slow when compared to my Quilava (who's pretty awesome with power and speed). Elekid is decent for speed but it's not that great when it comes to stamina, so I stopped using it after a while. Psyduck is also pretty awesome when it comes to stamina and being able to knock other Pokemon aside.

That's what I used to do with my Pokemon Pikachu. Except I put it on top of the dryer because ours moved a lot.

One you make it to the third room, there's a giant machine (only thing in the room) that will show you the top scores. I think you need to get one Pokemon to have all the medals in order to get in (not 100% sure because I got into it at the same time as the locked room before it).

Yeah, second room is open only to you if you have gained a medal in each of the courses. the third is still blocked to me because I need all 5 medals on one pokemon. @.@

And how does that comic remind you of me? =P
