Yes, but it's still fun to think of the possibilities of if they hadn't put in that safety. Otherwise you could just set it on a washer, or strap it to a marathon run, or do tape it to a record player, etc. Kids would just give their Pokemon the moves they want, then not play for weeks as they ran around in the sun getting exercise to level up their Pokemon. You can see why Nintendo wouldn't want that

Rofl. Yeah, it was stuck in there forever... but it only gained one level, thanks to that one level per stroll limitation. >.<
Unlocked like 8 new areas at once though.

Just beat my rival inside the tower in Ecruteak city after kicking a rocket grunt's butt in the dance theatre. I'm kind of intrigued about what the kimono girl was saying, because I don't remember it from the old version of the game (there's a larger picture in general that I don't recall, which is exciting).

Oh my! I just caught a shiny golbat!! I know, golbatshmolbat. But it's the first shiny I've ever even seen other than that damned gyrados!!! happy times!

Awesome. I've never even seen a shiny Gyarados due to my lack of Gen II playing-ness.
And Golbat may be meh, but keep in mind that it evolves into Crobat, which is considerably less meh.

After I got 150 in Red, I lost interest in the series until some time after Emerald came out (which was my second Pokemon game). I do plan to get SoulSilver though...eventually.

I too say SWEE-coon, but it's probably supposed to be something like SOO-ee-COO-neh.

But just as planet Zebes is supposed to be ZEH-bes, and Samus Aran is Samus AIR-en, I shall continue to pronounce them ZEEBS, a-RAHN, and SWEE-coon.
