If you get broken steel (i found a torrent with it), you can level up to 30. But there is no point. Seriously, once you've reached level 20, you're practically invincible as it is, so all you're doing is becomming more invincible.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

I don't have a good enough computer to play Fallout 3 (at least I think), or else I'd already have it.

I'm actually playing it on my 360.

Also is it bad that I continually listen to the Enclave radio station instead of Galaxy News Radio?

I much more prefer an old Alex DeLarge telling that he is my president than hearing anything Three Dog Has to say over and over again.

Ungh, Monkey, just don't listen to the radio at all. It's one of the worst parts of the game, no matter what you listen to.

Yeah, I've basically stopped.

It'd be better if there was more variety. I understand why there isn't...but still. All the songs get stuck in my head, it's horrible.

And I agree with you, the world is really boring. Very brown as well. I'm enjoying playing Fallout 3, but I think I'm in love with the concept of the game and the world far more than the output. (and I never could get into the first two games...maybe now I can, I don't know)

Fallout 3 just really lacks any kind of variety. It's fun, it's really well done, and it's keeping me entertained...just not as much as Morrowind does. (also, side note, Rivet City is the most annoying city to go through since Vivec...at least in my opinion)

I don't know. The Fallout series has a great concept, and I think it's kind of because of that concept that the game just kind of always feels lacking.

Fans of Fallouts 1 and 2 will probably defend them and their concept to the grave. Knowing what little I actually know about them, I can mostly understand why. I just can't tolerate playing them because for some reason the interface drives me batty.

I wish Fallout 3 had just been a city. Maybe if it were nothing but destroyed DC. For some reason I always enjoyed going through the ruins of DC killing super mutants more than anything out in the wild. But no, Bethesda is certainly in love with their procedurally generated landscaping, and to hell if they'll ever give it up. Fallout 3 suffers from the same problems as Oblivion: the rewards you receive for exploration and experimentation are just too boring. After you've done enough of the better sidequests (in both games), there is almost literally nothing left to see. And the main quests in both games just suck major balls.

I don't know what made Morrowind work so much better, especially since I can draw a number of comparisons in the overall design of all three games. I guess that the setting and the writing and the dungeons and items were all just done... right.

Don't think I'm telling you to stop playing. Like Oblivion, I've sunk plenty of wasted hours in to Fallout 3, and had fun. It just leaves me feeling empty inside when thinking about it.

Yeah...but I don't know. Fallout 3 is kind of neat. Like right now I'm in Tranquility Lane, or whatever. Which I wasn't expecting and is kind of cool.

I kind of hope New Vegas will be just a city, and not much else. Because I enjoy Fallout, I just don't know...I'm thinking of downloading the DLC that takes place in Alaska, because it does sound kind of fun.

Just finished a few short practice rounds in Age of Kings. They were short because the computer gives up to quickly on Easy, and I'm forced to give up to quickly on moderate. <_<;;
I am at least getting a little better with my economy. Now I just need to work on pushing out a military force at the same time...

Other than that, I'm a little over half way through Metroid Prime 2 and have reached the Sanctuary Fortress for the first time ever. The place looks awesome.

fallout 3 was really short. i agree that the variety is too minimal. i liked it a lot when i played through it, but it was too easy to get to the level cap, and i was kind of annoyed that i couldnt play past the end of the main story. oblivion had the same problem that the main quest was too short. im running around right now doing mages guild stuff, and its all the same. go here, fight these things, get this object. im also stuck as a vampire. i could start again, but whats the point?

im starting silent hill homecoming tonight

Super Metroid is fun, Ekans isn't sure if Ekans can still do it in under 3 hours, but Ekans last saved on his way to Ridley, and has only been playing for 2:40. Maybe... But it'll be close.

I've only finished Super Metroid once, and it took me something like 6 and a half hours. I have it on the Virtual Console and haven't played it yet; I should try improving my time.
