I finally started playing Half-Life 2 for the first time (not Episode 2, just plain ol' HL2), even though I've had the Orange Box for quite some time now. So far, me likes a lot.
I also played a bit more of Super Mario Galaxy and got another grand star. Just two or three more left, if I remember right.

CoD3 is nowhere as good as CoD4.

At least from what I've seen and played a bit of.

I was more meaning to the string of III games he was playing.
I haven't played any Call of Duty games to know.

I picked up Devil May Cry 4 yesterday and have been playing it frantically ever since. I had no real interest in the game until I saw someone in JB Hi-Fi playing it and was like "ooh, pretty", because it's the best looking game I'm yet to see on 360. Asked my friend when it came out, he said "uh, today". Went out and bought the collector's edition five minutes later.

I've never played any of the other DMCs (extensively), but god damn it, this one is great fun.

Also trying to master Hard on GH3. That orange button is fucking hell.

Though I'm soundly beat.... (though hey, for my first go, not bad, I guess.)

Ah, I see.

So, I've started playing the newest Advance Wars.

Damn good game. I'll probably stay up way too late with it tonight.

But then.... Phantasy Star IV came in my mail yesterday..... Man, I'm going to use that cartridge sooo much....

I'll be needing your friendly code for that Advance Wars game, if you don't mind.

I think I posted mine on here, but I'll post it again if I didn't or you can't find it.

I hope you can forgive me when I say that I'd like a touch more time before I go challenging people. I may have played the first Advance Wars extensively, but there's a whole new world to be had with these Flares.
Plus, one late-night beginning session for an hour before sleep hardly counts as a good play-through.

Once I get comfortable with the game, then by all means, I shall accept any challenges that come my way, but keep in mind that I play for fun, not to win, so expect some... daring strategies.

actually, the flares are fairly useless.

the things that seem to take the most getting used to are the weaker attacks of pretty much every unit, and the lowered amounts of fuel and ammo. things likely added to balance the game for the wifi crowd.

but i'm still loving it.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

I loved the first Freespace, but I haven't had a chance to try 2. I shall have to remedy this now that you've reminded me of it.

I've been a huge fan of the Wing Commander games for a lot of years, and playing Freespace, while not quite as good as Wing Commander in some ways, was still epic awesome for a space-fighter sim game.

I still like the characters and story and villians of Wing Commander, though.
Hunter rocks.
