So Civ4 has a multiplayer-by-e-mail option which intrigues me.

But wouldn't that take forevers?

Yeah, most likely. It just reminds me of the characters in Blade Runner who play chess by mail. Or however they did it (it has been a while).

always wanted to try that, or try playing over instant messaging. magic the gathering must be fun to try and play by mail, what with all the arguing my friends and i used to do about spells and effects....

now playing: fallout new vegas. i was a little dissapointed at first because of how they just throw you into the world without much intro, but now that i sat and played it all morning after sleeping on it, it's a lot of fun.

Civ IV with all expansions is on Gamers Gate for $6... intrigued... :S

Downloading Pirates of the Burning Sea at the moment. I didn't get into the Rift beta despite applying with a beta key so I decided I would download some other MMO and consider subscribing to it just to spite Trion.

EDIT: LOL JUST KIDDING I JUST WON THE VERY LAST VIP BETA KEY ON NEOSEEKER. Maybe Trion read this post.

Just finished Mass Effect 2 for the first time as a mostly-Paragon Sentinel. I only lost Jack (since she wasn't fully loyal) and Grunt (for unknown reasons).
I had considered going straight through both games with a new character next (an Adept, probably), but I think I may go for Dragon Age next.

Nah, I'm not into those sites, I just followed them on Twitter because they were spamming keys for the closed beta. I missed the first four, but they released the very last one in as a puzzle where you had to unscramble some letters, which was apparently too much for the other 1500 disgruntled WoW players who were following the feed. Bam!

Rift is actually a pretty fun game. I'm guessing they're gonna move to open beta some time in February. Not sure if I'd shell out cash to play monthly, though, especially when LOTRO still keeps me busy. Actually, I definitely wouldn't shell out the cash until I get a new video card, the GM events were kind of like watching a powerpoint of the backside of my bard as she maybe sort of attacks something. And then dies.

Slowly chipping away at God of War: Ghost of Sparta. I feel like I'm toward the end, which is good because I only have three days to finish it, and I only play on the crapper. Once I can play video games again, it's Final Fantasy Tactics, which I've never owned, but since I loved Tactics Advance so much, I ordered my mother to buy me this for Xmas, so that should eat up a hell of a lot of time. Other'n that, I haven't put much thought into what I'll play when I have time. Probably Fallout or Half-Life, as I haven't played either of those ever. Then again, this thread has gotten me all sorts of Zelda nostalgic, so I may try to finish a game of Majora's Mask for once...

This past week I did a run of Donkey Country 1, 2 and 3, as well as Super Mario 64 and Super Mario World.

And now I'm just going to work on Soul Silver and Final Fantasy Tactics A2 (I'm buying this tomorrow!).

You playing on the sexbox? I'm enjoying it very much on the PC. Although I had to mod it just to get the sound to play correctly, and it crashes every now and then...

I've spent ~17 hours with new vegas, and haven't had a single crash. I suppose I'm lucky. I'm also thankful I didn't get the game until after some patches were released (admittedly, it was a gift).

The only mod I've added so far is the Fellout: New Vegas mod. It certainly changes things, and makes it nearly impossible to do anything at night. But I'm also playing the game one hardcore mode, so sleep and darkness seem to be perfect motivations for heading inside when the sun goes down.

Are either of you hardcore?

Your computer is godlier than mine, too. So I don't know. Might not even be the game's fault.

Hardcore mode interested me, but for now, I'm all wussy and am just playing on regular mode. But if I start up a new character I'll probably try it out. Or I guess I can turn it on whenever I want. But then I don't get the super secret achievement or whatever.

Edit: I guess all that means is a trophy/achievement and nothing cool. I might try turning on hardcore mode.

i'm hardcore tomorrow. i wanted to see where helping diff factions goes first before i try something that could potentially suck the fun out of it. im playing on ps3, and have the 1.02 patch. it still freezes a lot, but idk if it's an overheating issue or not. none of my other games will freeze on me so frequently, but fallout has a ton more going on around you at any given time than red dead or katamari...
