/>I had to play Bioshock for a homework assignment in my Science Fiction class. It's so funny that I've been procrastinating on playing this game for a while and only played it now because it was an assignment. LOL

UNFAIR. All we did in my Science Fiction class was read E.T.A. Hoffman stories where people talk about how much they hate Automatons. >:(

Anyway, I've started playing The Sims 2 again. I make the mistake of installing 200 mods at once or something over Christmas, and unwittingly put in one that was glitched and made everyone's head transparent. OOPS.

I recently completed Sniper: Ghost Warrior, which I purchased for cheap because the description made it sound right up my ally. Instead, it's a terrible, terrible Modern Warfare wannabe. I'm was quite angry when I started to realize this.

I'm still playing too much Civ 4... Now I'm messing with the Warlords expansion. Maybe I'm some sort of pussy, but I genuinely prefer being a peaceful civ, rather than a warmonger.

I've been playing a bit of Batman: Arkham Asylum. I'm surprised at how good the game is.

I've also been dying a lot in playing a lot of VVVVVV. Ridiculously challenging but addicting...

I loved Arkham Asylum. It gets beyond repetitive by the end, but it's the first game I played where I really felt like Batman.

Also, I've been playing lots of Black Ops. I'm such a mainstream gammar now. I never thought this would happen.

i just finished the main storyline of Borderlands. The game itself was a lot of fun, and so were the dlc packs, but the last boss had no business being a last boss. i think the boss itself was appropriate in the situation, but it was way too easy.

I say the last boss was a rip off. I wanted a redo. And I didn't even play the game! I watched both Tony and my Dad beat the last boss.

Not to mention that the ending is so incredibly terrible. There is no end to my disappointment with the ending of the main game.

This makes me think I should get around to beating Crawmerax. I have yet to do that.

I completed Crysis today. It was pretty good, I suppose. Lots of shooting, and prettiness. Two things stuck out to me while playing today:

Mountains. Crysis is the first game that I've played where a mountain, even if just a piece of scenery, has truly, truly made me feel small. Sure, in a game like this it's little more than spectacle. It sure as hell was effective, though. More games need to achieve this sense of scale, especially those free roaming types that let you actually explore the mountains. I'm talking to you, Bethesda.

Also, an interesting sequence of zero gravity had me wondering at the possibilities of a stealth set in such an environment. Complete range of movement. Many, many directions for your enemies to come from. Crysis is modable... if only I had skill or talent and could explore this more in depth.

Overall, good time.

I just finished Crysis: Warhead. I would say that the two games together makes up about one game :p. (Though, warhead was just an expansion)

Overall though I really enjoyed them both. They were better than most alien invader sims.

I'm honestly just posting in this topic to get it on the front page. I haven't really started anything new since beating Crysis. I guess I played a bit of minecraft single player, though. Or something.

I've still been playing nothing better than cell phone games lately, though I do plan to start Okamiden in a few days when I actually have the time. And perhaps after I finish reading Children of the Mind.

I been playing Pokemon Black. I'm liking it quite a lot, really. Though for some reason the names of the Pokemon annoy me a bit. The animations on the other hand, aren't half bad. I had assumed I wouldn't like them and they would grow tiresome, but it just works perfectly. Lots of other improvements make me like it even more, such as fancy text displays, camera angles, and such. I've noticed Pokemon have good move sets even at lower levels, so it really makes me want to try and put different Pokemon in my party. I personally think they accomplished their goal of refreshing the series.

Third!

Although I have to say I hate that every time I start the game it asks about the stupid C-Gear thing. If I want it on I'll put it on. They really pushed Wi-Fi with this new release.

EDIT: Does anyone else think they made this generation as cute as possible? I swear they're all ADORABLE!
