VP and I have agreed to drive the 16.5 hours straight.

I have to figure out when we'd leave exactly since Colorado is 2 hours behind Michigan.

It'd be a 21 hour drive for me. I say to that, no thank you. XD 8 was torture enough when I was moving.

It's around a 4-hour flight to Denver for me (or 4-6 with layovers). Looking so far at probably $400-$500 for round-trip travel. (Siiiiigh to that. But airfare is airfare.)

I don't doubt it.

What say you Kenneth? You offered to pay lodging. Shall I give more options for Kansas as well?

I can do this. This time with no double links!

I'm certain someone will be sleeping on the floor somewhere. Likely me, since Rose will be a bed hog.

I understand where you're coming from though. I'm doing very basic research, but we also have to remember that there may be people who say they're going, but don't. It's a slippery slope. I agree though, I don't think I was paying a lot of attention towards the end. I'm sorry for my lackluster performance. I'll show myself out....

Pfft, you're doing fine. :p Just wanted to make sure it was being taken into account. I expect some people will change their mind, or the maybe's to turn into no's, but on the off chance that they don't.

Overland Park Kansas (Near Kansas City)

Please forgive the lack of options here. There are not a lot of houses for rent (even on the weird off brand sites). If we do go to Kansas we might be better off getting a cabin and become one with nature.

Or we can live with Stars. I bet he has all the room!

Lodging A

Lodging B

Lodging C

Lodging D

Things to do:

Art Museums

Breweries - 1 and 2

Science Center and Observatory

Obligatory Amusement Park

Gardens

Nature Center

ALPACA KINGDOM

Big Cats!!

All other attractions not listed

We also have a resident in this state. I'm sure he can be of service too!

Also if you're Ghandi you have to shave your heard.

If that was a typo, then I'm kinda Ghandi by default.

If that wasn't a typo, then? Well, never mind. Doing a google image search for "shaved heard" is kinda depressing.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

I'll be honest. Denver is about as far as I'd be willing to drive. If it's Kansas it means I have to fly which both means I won't pay for a lot and I become far less likely to actually want to go.

I kept missing that "r" even after reading your post.

I was so confused.

Then I saw it.

Then I laughed a lot.

I'm with Kenneth here guys. I really like the idea of not having to pay for lodging. That and I really like the idea of Colorado.

That's up to everyone though. I've been operating on the fact that Kenneth would pay for lodging completely. If everyone else wants to be somewhere else we can definitely look into other options, just know that the price just went up for each of us.

I hope that doesn't come out as snotty as it looks.

That first one you posted looks amazing! The second one's reviews scare me a little. The third one also looks nice, but that first one is definitely my favorite. I'd choose that one over any of the others I posted.

Well the only reason I offered was because I felt bad people would have to travel farther and it'd be pushed a year.

But I'm still traveling almost just as far as everyone else who isn't Bean. :P

It really doesn't matter to me where it is though. I just won't go if I don't feel like it, and you guys could just do it sooner.

(I also agree with you Spaz on liking that first one most)

It's not a long flight, and it'd actually be a longer flight to Kansas than Denver. :p So it doesn't matter.

I'm also super still good with next July over any time sooner. :)

If everyone agrees, I could actually book this place whenever:
http://www.homeaway....241847#calendar

If people actually want to go there and it's agreed.

One thing to note is that no one else could go besides whose on the sign up sheet right now. As the max we can have is 18 people.

Edit: it doesn't have to be that place. Just wherever. Just that place just requires a deposit. Something like that I can pay for now.

Hey, you're not the only bald monkeypro member. I would settle for Winston Churchill, though.

I don't know, I'm not very active around here most of the time, but I'd still like to meet you guys if there's room for one more.

I'm sure is you contact the owner they might be willing to allow additional people. They may charge an additional fee, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

I say book it!

you buried the lead.

in kansas, the most interesting geographical feature is the horizon. option b is kinda far away from the airport, so i'd be willing to rent a big car at the airport and drive whoever wants to synch arrivals
