I like the character sprites. I don't think I've seen a screenshot with lots of characters around, so I've never noticed it.

I like the view of the stadium through the windows.
But you might try to find/make a background image that's viewed from a different angle. It's a little weird as is since it looks like it's being viewed from the ground below, yet the player is looking down on things from a bird's eye view. There probably shouldn't be any sky visible from this direction.

Yeah, that's the first thing I noticed. But there are lots of old snes games that had similar perspective problems so it just gives it that retro feel in my mind.

Pretty sure you are inside the Colosseum in that shot. Though the perspective is still wrong, it's not too far off.

I'm getting that comment a lot actually, that the perspective is off. I'll try a little update and see how it goes.

use the brighter town, and the blocky logo, i would change the color of the shield(?) behind it to a brighter color though. if that's not possible, i like the brighter one better. what's the very first scene/chapter like? is it in a bright area?

is it possible to put fog between the panorama and the viewing area? like if a big fight or a chariot race kicked up a lot of dust ?

The new panorama is definitely an improvement. I'd also like to second everything Kasper said about the title screens.

The Colosseum is fine. I like the bright city title screen as well. Though I would keep the title text as is. Looks fancy.

Tau: I like the first graphics with the second text. ^.^; That arena looks really nice, though you did forget a fullstop at the end of the sentence~

Something from my current VXA game. It's... well, that area's a wasteland. There's a few edits of the RTP in there, as per usual for me. :D

That top map is kind of odd, why is there pipes in the middle of nowhere?

The overlay or whatever one the second one is neat.

imagine someone sprayed you in the face with lsd, then kidnapped you. there are floating crystals, chairs from the ring video, and random balls of light. that's what's going on in the first map. the second one is a fog that drifts in to obfuscate the exit.
