It was cool & fun, but I don't see what's amazing about it. I liked it well enough.

Akira's the crazy bloody suspense-ridden one, isn't it? I feel like I watched and walked away somewhat numb. But I could be remember the wrong thing.

it's actual animation and not just reused characters moving their mouths in front of recycled backgrounds like pokemon. that baby motorcycle chase rail gun scene? i cant imagine having to blast musclemummy, and then him being saved by the cybernetic ghost of christmas past to go back and recreate creation like that.

Couple of movies with a girl in a minute here. She picked The Sorcerer's Apprentice and I picked Fargo. Looks like I have to expand my library of comedies, as she deals with serious stuff all day and doesn't really enjoy good dramas.

I have not ever seen The Sorcerer's Apprentice but I feel like it's both not as funny and not as serious as Fargo.

Or something.

Your post confuses me.

It's silly funny. At least you can laugh at Nicolas Cage's bad acting. Fargo is really, really good and it classifies as a dark comedy in my book. At least you can laugh at the accent.

Now I want to go up north. Is it too late to join Stars?

Falling Down is an A+ movie following Michael Douglas going postal on burger stand employees, and guys wearing stupid hats on golf courses. he's a man pushed too far by the bullshit in the world, and takes revenge in the most satisfying ways possible. it's a feature length middle finger to the system. 10/10.

Watched Her with VP. It was a freshingly odd movie. I fully enjoyed it. It touched on sensitive emotions without the complication of a physical meaning. Profound, but nice to think about.

VP & I just finished Knights of Badassdom. Doom metal is apparently a thing. I loves how this movie did not take itself seriously, but was totally awesome all the same.

Watched the first Harry Potter film with Jackie. That's my first ever real exposure to the series. So far, I'm interested and moderately entertained.

I'd agree that the books are better overall, but the movies certainly have their charm and actually do some little things better. :)

I've been bingeing Sailor Moon all day and somehow I'm still on the first disc. I find that really impressive.

Also, I watched Ocean's Eleven for the first time last night. It was pretty good. Especially because Matt Damon~

Just watched step brothers to wind down from work.

But earlier before work I finally saw "the world's end" and oh my God it was amazing, it was everything I hoped it would be and so much more, I think it is very possibly the best of the correnetto trilogy. And that's big because I love Shawn of the dead and hot fuzz, it exceeded all expectations and then some, best comedy I've watched since superbad.
