I've played a lot of Kingdom's of Amalur: Reckoning in the last couple of weeks, but I've decided that I just don't want to finish this game. I don't think it's a bad game, really. It has a lot going for it. It's just that it could have used somebody in charge of the project who could have told the designers "no" once in a while. It's just so damn bloated. Too many dungeons that are overly long, too many samey looking places on the world map, too many hidden secrets that contain random loot. Some proper management and focus could have made this decent game in to a great game.

(And I do think it it was entirely the management's fault. If you weren't already familiar with the developer, reasonable goals weren't one of their strong suits. http://en.wikipedia....wiki/38_Studios )

I had the same problem with it. Loved playing it but never finished it. There was just so much to do, and I agree that some of the dungeons were way too long. You could clearly tell that multiple people designed the dungeons as some would have convenient ways to get out of them quickly once complete and then some of them required you to run for 5 minutes to trace your way back to the entrance.

On a side note I've finally finished Dragon Age: Inquisition. I started the game when I still had some semblance of free time after work, but after moving and starting a new job all that free time has gone away. Which made me sad because DAI is such a fantastic game I just wanted to devote hours to it. I gave up doing all the companion quests and side quests and just focussed on playing the game and doing the companion quests of the people I usually run with. Overall it was a great game and I loved all 70 hours it took to finish. Now I'll be moving on to finish Assassins Creed Unity!

All I really knew about the game or 38 Studios is that it was founded by Curt Schilling, who I used to love as a pitcher, but hate as a person.

The project always seemed overly ambitious for a first attempt at a video game. No wonder they went bankrupt.

Messing around with the destroyers in World of Warships.

The player of one of the enemy aircraft carriers was apparently salty that I'd shot out his engines and then torpedoed him. So after I sank him, he spent the rest of the match cussing me out in global. It was neat.

Finished Elite Beat Agents on Hard, and I gotta say, that was more like it. That finally song especially kicked my butt, and I felt awesome when I managed to beat it.

Recently returned to a game I used to play in closed Alpha.
Elite Dangerous.

The game was very buggy and didn't have much to offer at the time, it's now released and the game is kickass.

It's the closest game to freelancer in years, but with a universe what can compete with EVE online.

This is going to be a big focus for me, at least untill Star Citizen comes out

A few things:

Chroma Squad - I enjoy it. I wish I didn't have to wait so long for it though (I Kickstarted it like 2 years ago). But it's a solid game. I do think it isn't as fleshed out as  I was expecting it to be buuuuut whatever. I hope it gets expanded on at some point.

Final Fantasy VI - I'd be farther but my 3in1 cart for my DS keeps crashing. I need a new one. But I don't feel like paying for one from a sketchy website. So I took my save/rom and put it on my PSP GO...but the GBA emulator, while good, skips frames a bit too much for my liking. I guess I'll just live with it. I just got Terra back, so I'm probably going to grind some spells into people.

Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lions - Finally got around to putting this on my PSP. One of the biggest reasons I bought a PSP was to play this game. I was very disappointed in playing it on my Vita since the slowdown is unbearable. Luckily there is a patch but it requires you to have a modded PSP/Vita, so that's why I got my PSP, to soft mod it to use this patch (and also to play stuff that's not on PSN). And it works well, it's so much better to be playing this game with it on.

The Misadventures of Tron Bonne - I spent a little time with this game, but am I excited to finally get to play it! It's basically impossible to play this game unless you have a physical copy of it, and those cost a ridiculous amount. I've never really played this game either, so I'm so so excited that it came out on PSN. I played it a little bit and have enjoyed it. Kind of makes me mad that Legends proper isn't on PSN and Legends 3 still doesn't exist. ;_;

The only game time I've had lately is during my lunch breaks. I've been playing Lufia & The Fortress Of Doom on an emulator. I used to have the cartridge, but never completed it. I am going to try to finish it before moving on to the sequel (which I have finished, and is excellent).

Last night I played CAPSULE, which was a good, short jaunt. Then I started Alien: Isolation. That seems pretty good so far, but I haven't gotten very far yet.

Bee and I played the Splatoon demo yesterday afternoon. It was pretty swell. My biggest issue was the aiming, since you use the Gamepad. I'm hoping that can be turned off, or maybe I just need more time with it.

Either way, if I wasn't excited for that game I am now.

I had a Skyrim urge today, but I don't think I could make myself go back and play that again. So, I downloaded Oblivion. Man, dudes... this game really has not aged well, which is amazing considering Skyrim can run on the same hardware.

Playing .hack//INFECTION.

After over a decade of wanting to play it again, but not willing because I had lost my memory card before the last game came out. Maybe I'll finish this time.

getting real tired of your shot 3D dot heroes... playing in Spelunker mode, where one hit kills you. i'm stuck in the fire temple because you have to go all the way through it to trip one switch to come all the way back to go around some colored blocks. i always die at some point because either enemies spawn right on top of me in rooms, or i'm just a dumbass and rush through.

im gritting my teeth and charging on. i started it in new game plus, so i've had my powered up excalibur the whole time. you don't get the giga sword until it's too late to be useful. the first boss was the hardest since you can't just spam him with hits, so i was running in circles the whole time trying not to touch the walls. the other bosses went down easy, but it's just this one stupid temple. i just know the last temple is going to take forever since it's all the other ones stacked atop one another. i'm currently sitting at under 4 hours though, so im making good time i think.

Sniper Elite 3: I literally bought this played this for 20 minutes. got bored of the slow mo bullet kill gimmick and turned it off.
USFIV: Literally just messing around with a good friend... I'm not good at this..
Fifa 15: The only game that makes me angry... so angry that i actively swear in a vicious manner and talk to myself about how stupid it is.
Hammerwatch: It's an okay game.. Just lets say after playing it for 2 hours with a friend.. my thumb now has gained 4x as much muscle...
