This game is amazing. I don't think I've ever seen a tie clip through a character's body before.

That's Deadly Premonition! :D
I loved Deadly Premonition, it was such a weird fucking game. It's basically Twin Peaks the video game.
I also got it for free through PS+ a couple months ago, so I'm gonna replay it eventually.

Still trying to get into Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. The hunting aspect and crafting is really fun, but the fetch quests are just uuuuugh. Carrying an egg across a map is not fun.

Do you also have to carry it on a spoon and hope it doesn't break?
I've always really wanted to play Deadly Premonition, especially since it's inspired by Twin Peaks, but I'm so lazy I guess. I own it a few times now and just haven't been able to muster up the will/time to play it.
I'm playing FFVIII and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire.

This should give you all you need to know about Deadly Premonition. So says Mr. Stewart.

Started and beat OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood. And I'm presently ranked around #250 on a level near the end of the game. One of those games that is fun to learn, frustratingly difficult at times, and wicked wicked hard to master. There are still "Pro Levels" and 100% completion to chase, but I might take a pass on that to play other games.
I also started playing Valiant Hearts. This game came highly recommended from a friend, and it (and OlliOlli2) was free as part of my PS+ membership, so I saw no reason not to give it a try. So far, I'm in the middle of Chapter 2, and I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed so far. It's not really difficult, it's slow moving (my country for a run button), and it's more educational than it is fun. About all I'm really enjoying so far are the Taxi Driving scenes, because it plays fun music, and there's actual GAMEPLAY during those segments, not a series of fetch quests or a story on a rail.
I also have returned to NBA 2k15, where I'm playing MyGM mode, and my owner is bitching at me, despite the fact that the team I run (the Bulls) is on pace for the #1 seed, and has traded and free agented their way to a team that includes Andrew Wiggins, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Rajon Rondo, and a ton of expiring contracts (so we can make a run at free agents like LeBron James -if he opts out- LaMarcus Aldridge, Marc Gasol, Kawhi Leonard, and Kevin Love), AND a shit ton of draft picks (to give you an idea of how insane my draft is going to be, the current Mock Draft in my game has me with the #1, 5, 7, 9, 10, and 12 picks... That's SIX lottery picks. SIX. All it cost to get this monster roster (that features players like Ray Allen and Paul Pierce on the bench) was Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, Pau Gasol, and Joakim Noah and my own first round pick. Three injury prone players, and a player who is going to get over 15 million in free agency after the season.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Still playing FFVIII because, shrug.
That game is really just "Play Triple Triad, exploit the card/draw system". But, okay. I'll probably try and beat it before I switch gears to FF Type-0 HD/FFXV Demo and Mario Party 10 next week.

I didn't play Triple Triad, and I can't say I exploited the card system either.
I drew magic, just to see if I could get more GFs. And wouldn't you know, the strongest in the game is only found in a basement and you have to draw it off a mega-god.
The game itself was fairly easy, but damn if I didn't love it. If it's not my favorite, it's one of my top 3 in the series.

I don't like it, I'd rant about why but I feel like I have.
It's an interesting game though. I feel like it could have been better if it wasn't for some stupid story decision and deus ex machina junk and if the draw system wasn't so broken/bad.

Count me in the minority then, who liked the story. It was different. And when considering what FF has done since (same old song and dance, outside of X), I'm surprised they seemingly forgot how to write an interesting story.

IX was just ridiculously cookie cutter outside of Vivi's arc (which was about the only thing I could give a half a damn about, not even a full one). And I never felt any emotional attachment to those characters. Any of them. Except Quina. He had the right idea, not seemingly giving a damn about what was happening.
VIII's story wasn't perfect, but it wasn't like every other game in the series. The story tread on ground that was largely unexplored by the series. It helps I didn't expect a revelation. Everybody kept telling me how shit it was, but then I played it. This is why I no longer listen to what people have to say about games. Or at least, no longer listen to the consensus opinion. VIII wasn't perfect, but it's also not the shit-fest people keep treating it as.
The entirety of the FF series has always pulled shit out their ass anyways when it best suited the cast. At least VIII left me with a couple of questions when it came to real life. I get a deeper enjoyment out of games when they make me ponder my own life, circumstances, or failings as a person. And it's rare for a FF game to hit the mark on any of those points.
