VP started playing Pokemon Y again. This prompted me to play Pokemon X again. I have some serious sorting to do. Must prepare my boxes for the new games.

Lotsa stuff since it's a three day weekend and I didn't have much to do (besides work, blah).

Played some Earthbound...kind of just grinding/stuck in that game (I haven't played it in a while). I need to go save Paula but I keep getting my butt beat.

Tales of the Abyss...just kinda keeping on course with that game.

Played Way of the Samurai 3 because it was free. It's okay. I remember liking the first two a lot. This one is kind of like...I don't know what I'm doing the whole time. So I kind of gave up on it.

Played a bit of Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky...I totally forgot what was going on there.

I played Hot Shots Golf: International and Mario Kart Wii (just a few more days for 8!) with my girlfriend.

Oh, and I installed and played a bit of Skyrim but it was a bit laggy so I stopped. Also I was using my PS3 controller and there's not really a good mod to replace the 360 buttons in the interface.

I've also been playing a lot (will, comparatively) Star Ocean: The Last Hope International. Only playing because Bee picked that one randomly. It's alright, kind of a bit too unforgiving when it comes to getting health, at least in the beginning. The first dungeon is long (unless you avoid every monster) and does stuff really weird. There's no way to heal yourself either unless you do it at the beginning area or a random area a little aways from the boss (which you don't know is going to happen, really, and there's still monsters on route to it, and if you go a little ways away from the healing point you can't go back...and the healing point isn't next to the save point) ooooor you horde your healing items (which you have to find), which you don't know you need to do until it's way too late. I finally got a healing spell though, and there's stores now so it doesn't much matter.

I haven't felt like much of a gamer lately.

I've put my time into MLB 13: The Show and Out of the Park Baseball 14. For those lacking reading comprehension, or knowledge of well known sporting acronyms, those are both baseball games. The first is a year old baseball sim. The second is a year old baseball MANAGEMENT sim. There's not even actual baseball in the second one. It's text based.

It's like... Dungeons and Dragons. On a computer. But with baseball players instead of warriors, mages, and rogues, and other teams as opposed to dragons.

Gotten back into playing Skyrim. There were a lot of good times to be had playing with my old roommate. His file was all about being brutally efficient and doing specific quests for specific benefits while mine was about random exploration. I ended up discovering quests and stories he did not know existed in my random encounters. But while my saves were on my console, the disc was his. Now that it's summer decided to buy it. Saw an add for it and got the game plus all of the expansions. I'm having a blast going back out into the world and just messing around.

That's the best part of Skyrim, man. I know when you're doing a quest fast travel just seems like a good idea, but the real meat and potatoes of the game is just going out and wandering.

Fast travel is nice but I wish it never existed. It makes me super lazy.

But yeah, who doesn't explore in an Elder Scrolls game? Your roommate is sucking all the fun out of it.

Didn't see this before. I restarted my copy last week with a friend. We get on Skype once a week and play along together, ending out sessions with an epic rival battle. He's doing a Normal-type team and I am doing a Ground-type team. I traded him in a Lillipup to use as a starter from my copy of Black since we both wanted to use starters that fit our team types. I ended up trading in a Cubone for my starter as well as a female Nidoran since there are a lack of Ground types early in the game. The first rival battle I beat him handily and then....my god....the Furfrou. OH GOD THE FURFROU! It utterly wrecked me and wiped my entire team, and this was with us doing a double-battle format.

you've never left something in your house on the other side of the map, and only remembered you needed it once you fast traveled to get there?

I finally got around to getting back to Final Fantasy X: HD Remaster and I'm not putting it down until I finish what I planned on finishing. I'm in the end game before the point of no return, so now I'm leaving the dungeon to do as much of the "end game" content as I feel like doing. This includes but is not limited to: Monster Arena (I am missing just one area's monsters), getting the crests for the remaining celestial weapons (I still have to do the Thunder Plains one... and the one you get through Blitzball, blah), beating the Dark Aeons (Which means maxing out my stats through the Monster Area...) and finally, beating the superbosses (namely Penance, which is going to be a bitch with the Expert Sphere Grid).

Once I finish, I'll probably move on to the less popular sequel, which I actually like.

Lots and lots of Mario Kart 8

Then me and Bee played Skullgirls: Encore and some Persona 4 Arena. The latter kind of makes me want to pick up Persona 4 Golden again...but I'll try to resist.

Going to play some Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky before bed.

Got to try Bioshock Infinite and Soul Calibur V on my cousin's PS3. They were pretty fun, though I can tell I'm out of practice on dual analog first person games, given that Bioshock nearly kicked my butt a few times on easy.

I use fast travel all the time to run back home and empty my inventory. Whether I use it for quests tends to depend on how lazy I'm feeling, or if the territory is a new area, mostly since I tend to explore like mad constantly and have probably already discovered tons of things around my location if I've already been that way before.

Been playing more Skyrim because once we connected the PS3 to the internet and updated Skyrim, I got my game back. :) I just have to not finish the quest I'd been on because then I'd go back to jail, and since everyone's dead and I (don't think I can) can't serve time for the new quest I'd get stuck down there again.

Maybe one day I'll test it out. But for now, I'll have fun with the dozen other quests I have active.

4x games are a cruel, addictive mistress. Been playing too much Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion lately.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

I started my own save file for Skylanders Swap Force. I even changed the difficulty to Hard to make it a bit more fair. I still destroy everything with ease. No boss fights yet, so we'll see... I can't unlock nightmare mode until I beat the game.

is the nightmare mode actually difficult? i picked skyrim back up and set it to legendary difficulty. all that's different is the enemies have more health and attack and armor, but they're still dumb as rocks.
