From what I found in a quick search, titles of nobility are actually forbidden by the US constitution. If you were to sign any document and include such a title, you would be breaking the law. At least according to a guy on Yahoo answers, so take that as you will. I didn't bother checking the source they gave.

No, it's illegal for the government (or any states government) to issue a title of nobility. Holding a title is not illegal or a lot of celebrities would be in trouble.

What if you've earned a title of nobility in another country? Surely you can still be Lord Bubbletrousers in America if you've earned that title in the UK.

As long as you don't work in certain positions of authority it means nothing. If you have a title you need congressional approval for those jobs.

I'm not the only one! Of course, what I did at work had nothing to do with it, I just didn't have the energy to get off the couch and sit at my PC.

I just checked my work schedule for next week, and now I'm feeling anxious. Monday and Tuesday will be my first full days working by myself (the ever present EKG tech notwithstanding), and I'll be at the location I'm least familiar with. On the plus side, it also seems to be the least busy location so far, so here's hoping there's a light patient schedule.

My advise: own it.

When I started teaching, I was nervous as hell. Then I realized that I was the one in charge and I could mold these people any particular way I wanted. Yes, I made tons of mistakes and had to adjust lots of things. But I have made the class into something very definitely mine. Now, I have 5 times the students I started with.

You've already made some mistakes, but you're not going to screw the whole damn thing up (I hope). Add your own flair to it in order to be the best possible at your job. Oh, and have fun.

Well that...could have gone worse. Mistakes were made, of course, but they were easy enough to rectify. Mostly I just need to work on my time management at this place. I ended up having to stay an extra hour to finish everything, and my feet hate me right now.

Somehow I thought we had a topic for The Interview, but I didn't see one anywhere. I'll just leave this here since I found it interesting.

I just found out the next Bond film is SPECTRE! I couldn't be more excited. I hope Blofeld returns. I hope Daniel Craig Bond marries Tracy. I hope we get the thrill of him beating the absolute shit out of Blofeld in a hour long fight scene.

I'm excited. It comes out in November.

Hyperlisk, you so silly.

Also, I now want to write an Onion style article with the title, "New Smart Phone app reads song lyrics aloud to you while you listen to your favorite songs!"

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

This wouldn't be so bad...

I always sing along with my music, so with my voice, the smart phone voice, and the actual song going on, it will most accurately simulate what it is like to sing along with friends in a car, great for lonely people like me.

...

That's one of the few things I miss about high school. Singing in cars with a bunch of other people who can't sing.

that's why i liked this podcast so much. when i'd have to do the 10hr drive from tn to il for work, i'd throw a few of them together and it really helped shorten the drive.

I am finding it really hard to find a good computer desk. Everything I've looked either focuses on the "computer" part but then leaves out the desk part and any useful shelves or drawers. And the ones that focus on the "desk" part do not have a solid grip on how a computer tower works or where to put it. The most common blunder in that regard is having a closed cabinet for the tower. You know, where there is ZERO air flow. Genius!

I've found three pretty good desks, but I just can't pull the trigger on any of them. The first one has in my opinion the best design for accommodating the tower and I like the shelf underneath the desk, but it has massive filing cabinet drawers and the silliest printer stand I have ever seen. It's so tall! The second one has a better storage layout with two normal sized drawers, a cubby, and space underneath the desk to the right, plus is has an opening on the side of where the tower goes for side fans and what appears to be a hole for at least cables if not also maybe the rear fan. I wish it had a shelf underneath like the previous desk and I don't know if that space for the tower would be the best for me (my new computer is being delivered this week). The third desk is a fantastic "desk" in my opinion and has the perfect blend of shelves, drawers, and open space. It also has the back of the tower space open, so as long as you leave some space between the wall then the computer should be able to breathe just fine. And yet the color is too light and I'd rather have a darker desk because goes with spaces better. I have no idea what kind of room I'll be in a year. I know that sounds like a stupid nitpick, but my mom is an interior designer so it's something that nags at me. Plus it looks like cheap particle board even if it isn't and it has sharp corners. I had a desk with sharp edges and I did hurt myself on it.

Why can't I just find a good desk?!

They all look like they'd be good in the right situation. It's hard to recommend a particular desk over the others without having any grasp on what and how much stuff you expect to store in it and such.

As somewhat of a side note, I like that first desk, but it confuses me. Why is the left side on wheels when the right side appears to be stationary...

I noticed that and I have no idea. That section doesn't disconnect to allow you to cart it around. As far as how much stuff I would store, pretty close to how they're using the third desk.

I want to tell you to get that third one, but I'm on the same page with the negatives you listed about it. =/

EDIT: Now my web comics are showing me ads for computer desks...
