Daylight savings time always fucking confuses me.
Spring Forward, Fall back.
I get that much but like
Does it mean spring forward an hour? Or that you are living an hour in the future? Like listen.
It is 3 PM or whatever and all of a sudden you are like, oh daylight savings time.
Then you remember the quote and are like oh, I spring forward/fall back. It is now 2 PM on your clock (In reality it is 4 PM, and now you are two hours off).
I love appliances that take this stupid fuckery of a scheduling change and do it automatically. Screw this daylight savings time thing

Woooah man.
I agree with panda though- time zones are a bit wonky and we would do well to do away with them.
I live in Arizona though, we 2kool5daylightsavingstime

Let's go all the way and do without time zones. Millions of dollars each are lost to "fixing" the time. It is a PAIN trying to coordinate things when you travel. Video conference? When someone is overseas? Ha! Good luck trying to get it in while you are conscious.
If we go to just keeping GMT as the time (and no DST like US or 30 minute offsets like Thailand) then we all know what time it is and never have to reset watches of clocks or worry about systems conflicting or crashing.
So what if sunrise is at noon? So what if you eat dinner at 2?
Everyone on the same time. Imagine the global harmony.
Oh yeah, and we should do military time too. You know, like everybody else.
I agreed with everything but military time, but that's my personal disposition. I prefer thinking of it being 2 PM than 14:00.

First day of NucMed tomorrow~
I think they said I'll be training for about a month or so. I'll also be readjusting to getting up early on a regular basis again (same schedule as when I was in school, more or less), so hopefully I'll be awake enough to take in everything.

Sooo. I've been talking to a guy. I've met him a total of three times. The first time was at my bro's fiance's birthday party (during which I beat him horribly at wii-bowling after he gloated no one beats him). The second was at my bro's birthday, where he hung out with me while I grilled and kept being an ass and teasing me. The third time was at my bro's halloween party this past weekend, where after he friended me on FB. Since then, we've been talking a lot and we may be hanging out this Saturday.
He hasn't outright asked me out, which I'm kind of relieved at as I'm not sure what to think of him yet beyond, 'he seems pretty cool'. Plus, I like being more relaxed about it and not just going right to stressful dating crap.
Regardless of how it turns out, I'm feeling pretty good with this.

Wow congrats Puffin. I hope that this guy doesn't turn out like the majority of my gender and you can form some type of actual human connection with him.

I don't like tossing gender into the mix, I'd say both genders can be kind of shit when it comes to making a connection.
Two way streets and all that.

Agreed. Honestly, a lot of my friends are guys, so even when things turn sour- romantically speaking- with a guy, I can't really hold it against the entire male gender. Cuz, you know, I know a lot of good guys (and for that matter, I often hear about the girls that end up being jerks to them, so obviously, we're all just jerks).

women are awful but i love them anyway. there is no right answer to them. i thought boozepony would work out, but she didn't, and now i have a new gf from the haunted house who just fell out of the sky considering the impulsive choices that even led to applying there.

Best wishes with that. Someday I hope to unlock the secrets of meeting women naturally like that.
Not "conspiracies". Conspiracy. Singular.

I find myself agreeing this year. >:/ I suddenly went from coming home at sundown to taking the bus in the dark. I don't like this.
