Yikes.

I'm assuming you were driving the bigger vehicle then? Reminds me of the car accident where we plowed into an elk and a 50's era truck rear ended us. Our Toyota Corolla- totaled. Truck- not a scratch.

Wait, are you in town now? Also make sure he reports it all to the store, they may reimburse some bills. You should also make sure they pay for you to see a chiropractor.

You should take the movie theater one man. They don't pay much and it's hard work but you get to see movies for free!

Honestly, if I got both jobs, I would definitely take the movie theater one. It's less because I want to see movies, and more two different reasons.

1. It's not in my town. I want to get out of my town, explore a bit of the world around me, expand my horizons, and meet people who might actually be of benefit to me. I live in a go nowhere town with a bunch of go nowhere people. There is no benefit to this town.

2. A job in a movie theater sounds 10 times more fun than working at a gas station. Plus, I have had friends in both lines of work. Movie theater work is easier and more relaxed than gas station work from what I've heard.

I knew a guy who used to work at a movie theater. I never asked him much about it, but whenever he talked about working there, he sounded like he had enjoyed it overall.

I knew someone who worked at a movie theatre, she kind of liked it but said it was boring.

Hyperlisk worked at a gas station, I think. He liked it a lot I think. (maybe if he sees this he'll respond)

I've worked at a gas station/convenience store in the past, when I was in high school.

It was so shit. I didn't do much of the gas station/convenience storing and what not or anything though, so it's not like I have an accurate gauge on what I would do first hand.

I was the cooler stocker. I spent like 4 hours stocking beer, soda, water, etc in the ice cold coolers by myself.

The only social interaction I got was when I came to the front to clock out. It was an absolutely miserable job with a bitch of a boss.

Yeah but if you get the graveyard shift at the gas station, that's like, the best one. Get yourself a little mini-tv or hopefully you have good cell reception, and just veg out on movies, and chill with the stoners and relaxed overnight workers. It's pretty sweet man.

That sounds like the plot of the movie Clerks.

If I could get that kind of a gas station job, that'd be cool.

Spend a week in NH with me, and you will get maybe five minutes of usable footage.

It's not that I lead an unfulfilling life, or anything like that.

But a lot of my life is sitting at a computer and not saying a word.

That's not exactly watchable.

This is probably going to be my longest post in years. Sad.

1. It's not in my town. I want to get out of my town, explore a bit of the world around me, expand my horizons, and meet people who might actually be of benefit to me. I live in a go nowhere town with a bunch of go nowhere people. There is no benefit to this town.

This is so very important. Or at least I think it is. A lot of people just stay in the town they grew up in and hang out with the same people. There's so much more to do and explore! If you really want to get far away, try something new and maybe find a new you, I'd recommend doing seasonal work. There's plenty out there in some pretty cool places!

I can personally speak for Alaska, where I worked for Princess Cruise Lines in a lodge of theirs. You can meet so many cool people that are just the same as you, there because they have nothing better to do. I've made lots of friends there just in the summers of 2011 and 2012. And they hire everyone. It's some pretty hard, lame work (Unless you are a night cleaner. I was and that was the chillest job I've ever had) if you are a porter (Bell staff) or a room attendant, but the experience makes up for it in my opinion. It also happens to be where I met my now wife. The secret to making a lot of money is to work in a restaurant as a waiter or busser.

For the winter coming up, my sister and her husband are going to Utah. I can't speak too much for Deer Valley, since I never went, but I've known plenty of people while I was in Alaska that go back and forth between the two each year.

Hyperlisk worked at a gas station, I think. He liked it a lot I think. (maybe if he sees this he'll respond)

Yeah, I worked at one, it was pretty chill. Not bad, the owner was horrible, but my manager was cool.

I was the cooler stocker. I spent like 4 hours stocking beer, soda, water, etc in the ice cold coolers by myself.

Heh, that's what I did. I guess maybe I liked less social interaction.

This is so true. More than a handful of times, I've filled in for the cashiers doing overnight shifts. Seriously the easiest thing ever. Basically a go at your own pace thing.

I just want to add that although getting out of and away from your home town is important, don't be in such a rush to go so far as even go want to do more look like that you never go back. I haven't been back home in over two years and I miss it terribly, even though I love where I'm at. Get out in the world but also remember that just because you were born some place, doesn't make it the worst place to be. Your parents thought it was pretty nice, anyway.

Do the thing!

In other news, I actively knew I was dreaming at several points during my dream last night, and got as far as telling myself 'hey, since i'm dreaming, I think I want to change this.'

I couldn't seem to concentrate enough to actually change anything, but I did try! And that's way better than I usually can do.

(Though I'm pretty sure I did keep intentionally making it so I didn't get caught, since there were people after me (or I was at least hiding somewhere where I didn't want to be seen) in a good portion of the dream.) (Intentionally eventually turned into unintentionally, I think, because I got really tired of hiding and woke up. Haha.)

I dunno, I've about had my fill of the area around me. It's nice and quiet, it has its charm.

But there's literally nothing to do, and it's full of people I dislike. If I had a job already, I'd be spending as much time away from this place as possible.

All it's missing is a little censored drunken nudity, screaming at random pedestrians in big cities, and explosions.
