I hear people complain about UPS sometimes, but I get a lot of packages through them, and I've never had any trouble. And their tracking updates aren't super slow like USPS, which is appreciated.

USPS' tracking has changed a lot lately. It's still not as good as UPS, but it's not as bad as it once was.

True enough. The tracking on the last package I sent was only half a day behind instead of two days. <_<

A UPS driver came into my work the other day and mentioned how they were losing a ton of business from USPS. Does USPS really work in conjunction with UPS?

Yes.

You can drop off UPS packages at the post office and some UPS packages get delivered by USPS.

This must be some kind of special deal at your post office, because you can't do that here, which is kind of strange because UPS does come to the local post office every day--even before the regular mail truck!

I guess they must be switching to FedEx or someone else then. sux2b/ups

Ah, looks like I'm probably wrong. It's only for certain packages.

http://www.ups.com/c...rfa_pickup.html

Although my post office does have a UPS box as well, but I'm pretty sure that wasn't the case when I lived in Atwater. But then again, there's only like one UPS store in this whole city (in a really terrible location), and there was one in Atwater (which is like 1/50 of the size of where I live).

I just completed a mock registry for some extra credit. A 200 question simulation of the national test we have to take after graduating and before we can get a job in radiography.

We took one of these on the first day of the semester, and I managed a 70% without studying beforehand (mine was one of the higher scores; there's a lot of information on these that we never actually use). I took this one after spending my whole spring break trying to think about school as little as possible, and I upped my score to a 74% without additional studying. We need a 75% to pass the real thing, so I should be pretty well set as long as I prepare for it.

Awesome results, Stars!

That reminds me of the time when I did nothing for a month with a class, crammed the night before, and pulled a 70%

I'm probably not a good example to follow.

Oh, and having worked for a post office and a courier I know that both UPS and FedEx (Ground and Express) have deals with USPS. If you send anything Express mail, it gets handled by FedEx Express. Sometimes parcels that are not Priority mail get handled by either Ground service and delivered to a post office for final delivery. Tracking by both the couriers is so meticulous because they have the manpower and the focus on corporate interests who care for that sort of thing (because this http://xkcd.com/281/). FedEx really focuses more on businesses than residential delivery, and UPS tends to do it the other way around.

Signed up for one of those free dating sites to see if there's even a computer generated match for me.

2 people have tried to contact me. Both are spambots.

But 7 people have viewed my profile.

Most of them are from Canada.

So, I'm dating this girl and have been for about two months now. I really like dating her, doing nice things for her and stuff, and I admire many of her traits, but I wonder if I actually like her enough for her to have girlfriend status. Is this normal??? I've only dated one other girl and it was wayyyyyyyyy different than this. That may be a good thing, though. I'm so confused.

EDIT: Just a little backstory on the other girl. I liked her quite a bit more, but she was kind of a horrible person to me and incredibly delusional due to the fact that few people have ever been completely honest about what she is like because she is too pretty and emotionally manipulative. The few who have been honest with her have always been shot down because they attacked a popular person and the people who are her friend care more that she thinks highly of herself than her being a good person... Little bitterness there in case you can't tell.

We've made too many compromises already, too many retreats. They invade our space, and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far and no further!

I guess the question you need to ask yourself is, do you want her to be your girlfriend, or do you just want to have a girlfriend?

I think this dating site was a bad idea. It's trying to tell me I'm a terrible person.
