you play as a flower petal, and use the sixaxis motion controls to fly around and make other flowers bloom

you awaken in the intestinal tract of satan. you must defeat the hydra to escape. your only weapon is righteous anger.

Yeah, if you're playing it the lame way. The real trick is to meld your consciousness with the petals and experience the awe inspiring corruption of nature by industrial society. That's how I played it anyway.

I was all like:

i played it on 2ci, but my tentpole kept getting in the way. it looked like a magic eye, and when i crossed my eyes, i could see that everything is really just an automatically self perpetuating tesseract, and that the universe dumbs itself down via our infinitely inferior perception.

Just learned of Citizens of Earth coming out later this year on multiple systems. You select your party members from a sizable collection of just normal people to presumably save the world or whatever, and it very openly takes a lot of inspiration from Earthbound. The game failed to meet its Kickstarter goal last year, but it has since been picked up by Atlus.

I've known about it since the Kickstarter started and back then it didn't look very great. Kind of felt lifeless, and thus why I didn't contribute even if the premise sounded neat.

I'm glad Atlus picked it up, since it is shaping out a lot better than the Kickstarter would have.

This makes me think of Evoland, but with more substance.

The Kickstarter is almost over, but it's pretty close to the PS3/PS4 stretch goal. So far it's coming out on PC, Wii U, and 360/One.

I don't know, I don't think I'm ready to drop more money on a Civ game... Besides, I like playing in ancient times. It's fun! Fun. Fun.

Meh, it seems like a rehash of Civ V, which there are STILL no good total conversion mods for.

Damn guys at Rhye's, when will you resurrect yourselves?

I don't get why so many people have that attitude. So what if it uses the same engine. Was Fallout: New Vegas nothing but a mod for Fallout 3? The least people with that opinion could do is wait for reviews before dismissing it. Sheesh.

I think it'smore so franchise fatigue. Civilization isn't a game you put just a few hours in to. So a game using the same engine is going to feel too same-y most likely.

I'm still interested/excited but it doesn't seem to do enough to get me to buy it day 1 (also I do not need an excuse to have that game take over my life).

I agree with Monkeydog. but the main thing I'm not sure about is that building up your empire is the fun of it. Yeah I sort of see some of that in this game, but it wouldn't be the same. And then there's the actual look of the map... It just seem alien for the sake of being alien, but not really that strange or new, ya know?

So I already posted this, but Fire Emblem is totally killing it lately.

First off:

Persona + Fire Emblem? YES PLEASE. Two of my favorite things into one. ugggggggh need. Sadly this will probably hit America around the same time as Persona 5. So I'll just be dead from excitement.

Then the new Fire Emblem If...

Which sounds interesting, and looks like it adds a lot on where Awakening left off. I'm excited.
