I've spotted a handful of animation errors (like Shining Armor's accessory during the wedding and reception), but I hadn't noticed the rings. I'll keep an eye out next time I watch the finale.

I like to pretend the reason we don't have season box sets yet is because they hired continuity checkers to pick out all the things like that that need fixing first. xp

I feel like nobody cares because it's a show for 5 year old girls.

(and I think it's pretty obvious they don't since Netflix's season 1 has issues too, and that just came out)

The timing of this statement amuses me.
I just got my mom to watch the season finale. When she saw the evil creatures at the end, she said, "This is a cartoon for little girls? Seems more like something that would give them nightmares."

EDIT: Granted that only applies to one episode out of fifty-two. :p

I'm surprised that you hadn't noticed the the Big Lebowski ponies before. When I watched the episode with my roommate for the first time I noticed one of them and thought he looked familiar. Then there was a more clear shot of the three and I pointed it out.

One of my favourite games to play while watching is "Where's Derpy?" She has hidden herself quite nicely in some episodes, my favourite being the episode Sweet and Elite.
