The last anime I remember watching was Welcome to the NHK. It's depressing, hilarious, disgusting and touching all at once.

bleh. The Human Centipede was terribly tame of a movie. It is so worse of an idea than in execution. It's so terribly hilariously dumb though. Something that would be on MST3K if that still existed.

Truth. I showed it to some soft-brained girl that wanted to get with me so she would leave me alone.

I just finished watching the live action version of The Tick. I loved the animated series, but it could never be done properly as a live action series. It was too much like watching a show about regular people and their retarded friend, who just happened to wear costumes. There were hardly any villains to speak of. Apocalypse Cow was mentioned in the pilot, but other than that, villains were absent all together. How can you have The Tick without including Chairface Chippendale? The casting was perfect, and Batmanuel is such a funnier character than Die Fliedermaus, but the overall production value was so minimal.

I think that was part of the show's appeal. Unlike your normal super hero fighting crime, it was just about people who sorta wore costumes. The show was really ahead of it's time when you think about how many super hero slice of life shows and other media have been popping up lately. Personally I think the show was quite charming.

I really like that movie! What did you think of it?


I love this movie. :) I hadn't watched it in a really long time, but I had been wanting to watch it all semester, so when I went home I found it and brought it up. :D We've watched it, like, three times already. It doesn't get old!

I watched the 1993 version, though, not the 1949 one. :p Maybe I'll have to find that one and watch it and compare.
