I haven't gotten around to it yet but I plan on buying some Twin Peaks. I heard it's pretty weird and I like weird things.

It's on Syfy all the time during the day. Anyway, I would skip it, or at least try to not pay for it.

I watched Glee tonight... No idea why anyone likes this show. It was pretty funny, but it just seemed like a carrier for selling pop music CDs.

So, Futurama started off HORRIBLE at the beginning of this season...but jeez. It's just gotten progressively better and better. I'd have to say that tonights episode is one of my all time favorites.

I've only seen a couple new Futurama episodes and I have trouble getting into it... I think they really blew Bender's character out and made him really exaggerated from what he originally was, and it's kind of disappointing. I have the whole first season on DVD, and it's amazing. But everyone likes Bender, so it seems like they're getting a little crazy. Does anyone else see that?

Honey, we don't have the first season on DVD. We have the entire original run on DVD.

I don't know. It kind of seemed like that to start off with, but I think it's slowly gone to the same ol' Bender as later on in its original run. Since Bender was kind of over the top during the original run to begin with. (maybe not in the beginning, but certainly towards the end)

That's what I said.

Anyway I couldn't remember if it was the first season with four volumes or four seasons. Now that I think about it, it's obvious. Oops? Anyway yeah Bender was a cool guy in those but now he's got the crazies.

btw, need to find and watch the megman network warrior series, since I hear it got really good as the series went on. Man I loved the game series...

So the first episode of Weeds leaked.

It's not getting any better. It's not getting worse...but...yeah. It's in a transition state right now, which can either be bad or good. I'm hoping good. I'm betting bad.

Although the episode did prove I'm still attracted to Alanis Morissette.

Funny you mention FMA... I just got done watching the entire 2003 run and am going to watch the Conquer of Shambala (or whatever) movie. I read on the wikis though that Brotherhood isn't it's own thing like the first, it's based on the manga, and they overlap and cause mindrape if you watch them both. Well, the overlap and mindrape is from a different source. But anyway -Is this true?

Also this suggestion may cause rage, but you could watch Brotherhood via the Youtubez. Funimation has them all uploaded and up to two 30 second commercials > watching it on cable.

Funimation only has the subs up for the whole show. They're only going to go up to 26 with the dub...and as you can see, they're really far behind that to begin with. The dubbed episodes are also up on [adult swim]'s website, but even then...the commercials for FMA (the days in which I just don't torrent the show first) has like ONE commercial break in the middle. Not that bad. Especially considering my attention span isn't long enough to sit through the show without jumping online.

Cause mindrape...? Maybe later on, I don't know though, since only up to episode 26 is dubbed...and that's how it's going to be for a while now. The first 13 episodes are kind of boring, because, like you said, it's based off the manga. Like the first half of the original series was until it went off into its own thing. It's really hard to sit through again, I think...but afterwards, especially once the Xing people show up, it's really worth watching. Although I never really read the manga, so I can't compare it to that. It is a breath of fresh air compared to the original anime, though, and considering how much shit has gone down in the first 26 episodes, I can't wait to see what the rest has in store.

Hmm, yeah. I was wondering about the interest of the first few episodes, because I had read that the first series was based off the manga as well. That's too bad. But from what you've said and what I've read, am I correct in assuming they're completely unlinked, like it's the same story but two interpretation? If that's the case and I keep that in mind, I'm sure I can avoid mindrape. I just hate when things are like "lol its different but its also connected and a continuation but not lol".

Also: Just watched the Conquerer of Shambala... were you as disappointed as I was?

Eh. That movie was...alright. But the whole ending of the first series was a disappointment to begin with. I thought.

Yes, the first half of the first anime was based off the manga, but diverged after episode 26ish? The second anime follows the same plot as the first 26 but diverges around episode 13. Afterwards they're basically nothing alike. Not connected in anyway. Since it's based on the manga, and the second half of the first series is completely original to it.

Since I've run out of Slayers to watch, I'm going through my Trigun DVDs to mark them off my list. Just finished disc 5 of 8 before coming in to work (where I am now).
Also considering downloading the Slayers OVAs and perhaps some of the movies to see if they're any good.

I'm butthurt. I started watching FMA: Brotherhood today and it's... different. I don't think it would bother me if I wasn't so hardcore in love with the first run, but gosh... the characters just seem off (which is to be expected, but still), and Al's chick voice is incredibly annoying. I hope I get over my shit so I can enjoy it. :(

Finished Trigun yesterday. I'd like to go through something else on my list next, but I don't that I want to watch any of those right now...
To be precise, I'm trying to decide among:
Air TV
Avatar book 1
Dragonball Z (in Japanese)
Naruto Shippuden box 3
Negima!

Air is tempting since it's nice and short, but I'm not in the mood for sad stuff. Avatar seems the most likely, though I'm going to be sad when it's done because I don't have books 2 or 3 yet. DBZ is...well...whatever. I feel I may have lost most of my interest in the Shippuden anime; it's paced much slower than the manga to keep the story from catching up too fast. <_< I'm somewhat dreading dubbed Negima...
