Yeah, every now and then the spirit of a pharoah takes over his body to help him win at card games and stuff. Oh, and to blow up people's minds... but they edited that season out.

I'm both amused and aggravated that whoever made Yu Gi Oh thinks that the spirits of pharaohs have nothing more badass to do than to possess little boys and help them win card games against their annoying friends.

This spring break:
*End of Clannad/Clannad After Story - I used to really dislike the canon couple for the original series, but after watching both of the alternate universes where the main character chooses two different girls, I decided to fully support the original. It feels too empty otherwise.
*Lucky Star (series and OVA) - still not finished yet. At episode 19.
*Sasameki Koto

Yes, but there is a topic about non anime shows already, in the Movies and Television forum. So you should have posted in that one.

For some reason, I felt the urge to start re-watching Cardcaptor Sakura.

I think I can safely blame this Nami Tamaki song from my new CD for reminding me of the first OP song.

EDIT: Also, I can't for the life of me figure out why the DVDs are rated 13+ o.O

I've only ever seen Grave of the Fireflies twice.

Once when I was a lot younger, and once just now because my friend mentioned it today.

There's a huge reason why I was avoiding ever rewatching this movie.

Oh god I'm depressed.

I wanted to watch Grave of the Fireflies back when I was on a Miyazaki binge (He was involved in that one, right?), but I never did. Then I started hearing how depressing it is and decided to add to my list of Miyazaki movies I'll probably never watch. Which reminds me that I still need to rent Ponyo sometime.

Yay Voltron~

^It's a Studio Ghibli film, but Miyazaki was probably not directly involved in it. Most likely, around the time of production of Grave of the Fireflies, Miyazaki and his staff were working on My Neighbor Totoro.

It's a good movie though, and definitely worth watching. Just be prepared and have a box of tissues nearby when watching.

On topic, I'm watching Asura Cryin' and Stellvia of the Universe. Both seem really promising.

Oh I stole Grave of the Fireflies from one of my old friends. It's pretty sad. I really like it though. It's fun for me to see the other side of the story. Over here you only hear about them damn Japs being assholes back then, but then it's like, oh no poor little Japanese kids, don't die. :( Silly war.

On a side note: Oh god My Neighbor Totoro. I remember trying to watch that when I was like 7 and it was so frickin' stupid and weird, I was enraged that my grandma bought it. I guess I could try watching it again, but I'm not a weird weeaboo who gets high off thinking that I can watch every anime and anime related thing ever.

I've never seen My Neighbor Totoro either. I don't even know what it's about.

And... weabo must be some newfangled term you young'ns came up with. I woulda thought geek/nerd/otaku would have been enough, but then, it's not really D&D nerdy either.
