I'd be way more excited for the Shin Megami x Fire Emblem crossover if I had any intention of owning a Wii U

Games I'm looking forward to:

1. FF VII

2. Kingdom Hearts 3

3. Fire Emblem Fates

4. Horizon: Zero Dawn

5. Assassin's Creed Syndicate

6. Rainbow Six

7. Rise of the Tomb Raider (low on the list until the PS4 version comes out)

GF's really excited about Arkham Knight and Dark Souls III

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Final Fantasy 7 stuff

On the other hand, I'm only growing MORE interested in this.

FF7 was ok, but I think it was heavily overrated, and there is a lot of stuff I wanted changed.

When I first heard of a remake, I was thinking it would just be the exact same game with better graphics. That would have been nice, but not been something I'd have paid good money for.

By changing things around... it might just be a different game. And I'm 100% ok with that. The pieces were there in the first place, but it just didn't work for me.

My hype for the game has increased about 500%.

Dropping down a well that time forgot
With scars that show that we care a lot
In the sky we dreamt like a juggernaut
Of the things we'd do and what we saught

Don't hitch a ride on the hype train just yet. They have so far released only a single detail about the game: that it is being made. Assuming any other details right now is a recipe for disappointment.

I don't know if I really have a top 5 list, but since people love lists, here are a couple:

Games shown at E3 with game play footage that I'm most interested in:

Fallout 4

XCom 2

No Man's Sky

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Ashen (Could use a bit more game play, but I'll take it)

Games shown at E3 with cinematic trailers, that I would like to know more about:

Mirror's Edge: Catalyst

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Dishonored 2

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Games that I might like if I had a console box:

Rare Replay

Horizon: Zero Dawn (I was more interested in this before I started writing this post, because the setting is basically Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, but after re-watching the trailer, it looks like yet another AAA action game that mixes stealth, crafting, and pretentious cut scenes. Sigh. (And as I complained about during my press conference post, there is absolutely no need for the protagonist to narrate every. Damn. Thing.)

Genre that we've seen more than enough of by now:

Resource gathering/survival games (You would think I would like them because LOL exploration, but jesuschrist these games are no fun at all)

For better or for worse:

The majority of the games I'm interested in are sequels/re-releases. Shame on me or shame on developers?

This is how I've felt about E3 the past couple years, but this year I actually got excited for a few things. He makes a good point about the plastic, though. Lol@yoshi amiibos.
